  1. You might be able to disable TC lockup through LMS tune if they are willing to modify it for you. You should be able to adjust the TCC function through any HP tuner.
  2. I was getting a violent buck when it was going into 3rd. It would last a second or 2 and would happen most often when under light throttle. Turned out to be a TC lockup issue and solution was a new TC. Have the dealer disable TC lockup and test drive to see if it still happens.
  3. Mine have been kid tested pretty well. Everything seems to wipe away very easily. Liquids sit on the surface for a bit of time before they start to absorb into the material. Food, juice and even candy on mine and they cleaned up easily and without any visible stains.

Their comparison is incorrect. Likely never updated with the official release values. The Mach-E select is 2WD: Target Range: 230 miles† Battery Capacity: 75.7 kW Targeting 0-60 in the low six second range* Peak Power: 190kW - 255 HP* AWD: Target Range: 210 miles† Battery Capacity: 75.7 kW Targeting 0-60 in the mid five second range* Peak Power: 190kW - 255 HP* The Tesla standard range is gone from the official ordering guide but was 5.9s 0-60 and the same 230 mile range. They had no AWD version with the standard range battery unfortunately. The Standard range 2WD was also priced cheaper at $39,000. the only option to compare is the long range and currently you cant compare apples to apples. Premium 2WD on the Mach-E is $55,600 and gets an estimated 300 miles vs $48,000 for the same specs in the Model Y.

Yeah I was looking at that also. The Tesla wins in the performance category for range and base category for performance and range. Per ford the base 2wd is 0-60 in mid 6 sec with range of 230 miles. Tesla removed the non long range from the configuration and the lowest 2wd model is now 280 miles and 5.5 to 60. Ford has a more affordable option when considering the tax break especially but performance wise its no better than a chevy bolt.

That is the 60K plus model. Even with tax savings its still in SQ5 and GLC43 territory. It might be faster to 60 but ill bet it would get run down. and you have to deal with reduced mileage to get the performance with AWD. I was hoping to see all models sub 5 seconds and a GT around Tesla performance per price. Looks like the edge ST will be faster than the non GTs.
  7. The chrome throws me off. Its a very well finished machine though. I would love to see a tracked version with a V-twin.

I like the look. Not sure if it is large enough for me though. I'm not happy with performance either. I was hoping for a larger battery option for the GT and more power. It is priced competitively with the Model Y but its a hard sell for someone who isn't dead set on dropping ICE. Maybe Lincoln will get to use the platform and make something a bit more appealing. Or the next year version will have improved performance.

So it was completely leaked a few days early. https://techcrunch.com/2019/11/15/fords-mustang-mach-e-all-electric-suv-revealed-in-leaked-photos-prices-and-configurations/ Damnit.. I'm out. I was hoping for at least sub 5 sec on most models. I cant justify the $60K+ performance model with only a 230 mile range even minus the tax break. At that vehicle size class and price point its competing with vehicles like the Mercedes AMG43, Audi Sq5 and Mecan S and the tremendous aftermarket they bring with them. I would prefer to stay ford and will hold out with my Edge ST and see what the CD6 platform has in the future.
  10. I don't think there are numbers to support a reaction. Its a popular CUV but not a popular CUV to mod.
  11. I have 3 other STs in my town/local commute alone. Went to the movies 3 days after i bought it and saw 2 in the parking lot. This was January mind you. I agree the Audi SQ5 is a real performance SUV but it is also $10,000 more than an edge ST and carries a heritage the Edge does not. If Ford were to simply support it and offer aftermarket parts would it change your minds as to if it is a performance vehicle? I think Ford is purely reactive and would respond if there were enough demand. Honestly though I feel the cars today are too capable in stock form. People buy an Edge ST after owning a Honda CRV and are blown away by how quick it is. They don't end up hunting the web for go fast parts. A focus ST yes its fun but its not fast.. you almost need to upgrade for its full potential while a CUV like the Edge feels like you are nearly at the edge of useful performance with such a large platform. The F150 modders are usually drag racers and its a thrill to make something fast that seems as if it shouldn't be. Blowing ricer doors off with your log cabin on wheels. This is just my opinion.... I sometimes am tempted by the tunes and want a bit more power but then i strap my 5 year old into his seat and I'm suddenly content again. I want to push the edge but then reality pulls me back to realize if i want something faster I can drive my Lincoln or buy a model X.
  12. 2019 Fuel Injector Part #: CM5306 (9F593) 2018 Fuel Injector Part #: CM5238 (9F593)
  13. I would have to check on that but I do remember claims of them revamping the advancetrac system and the way power is delivered during certain driving conditions.
  14. I would definitely take that bet. 2 10,000 mile cars with stock tunes on 93 octane with the same wheel+tire packages on an autocross course.
  15. Even if the only change was addition of stop/start and a new accident avoidance system it will change the engine management system significantly where an existing tune cannot be used. Ford did tweak the system for better economy and gave it a hotter tune. The ECU is a totally different unit, also new injectors, fuel pump and countless other parts were introduced with the new 2019 models.
  16. They haven't even released the 2019 catalog yet. I suspect they are working with very minimal resources.
  17. Totally new computer/fuel control system and trans. If they were the same we would be able to use the same tune. Talked directly to the LMS guys about this. They seem pretty annoyed with the misinformation. You should know better than anyone then.. The tunes available for the sport ramped up very similarly. They didn't just get a E30 tune or a 100+hp 93 octain tune in just 1 year. They got years of customer nagging and updates that gradually increased power as the tuners learned how the system would react.
  18. You also enjoy a tune that has been developed for 4 years vs an under 1 year old tune. Your record was mid 12s? I'm sure we have some STs in low 13s if not breaking into 12s with the current Rev 3 tune and TSB updates. Last I checked we had a boost fooled ST just about in the 12s. The LMS Rev 3 is only good for about 50hp total, its mostly shift improvements and some boost at launch.
  19. You are the one in the ST thread trolling with selective "facts" just to back up your opinion. Randomly derailing a thread to try and make you feel better about your purchase?
  20. We have thrown away motor-trends results long ago. We even have a user here with a draggy 1/4 mile under 14 seconds. Car and drivers numbers don't even match MTs by nearly a second.
  21. You are going to base your entire argument on available tunes? The sport had an equal tune in the same time frame from release. You only got the big numbers tune after a half dozen revisions. Your also completely guessing about the 8F57 being weaker than the 6F55. Fact is the 8F57 has a nigher torque rating than the 6F55. We have yet to see any 8F57 failures outside of manufacturing issues (6F55 had its share) but the limiting factor of the tunes is not so much how hard they can push it, it is the tuners reluctance to haphazardly release big power tunes on an untested platform. Apples to apples (same tires) the ST absolutely has advantage in suspension tuning. It will out handle a sport without a doubt. To argue against this point suggests you have not driven both.
  22. Not sure how you figure that.. Its heavier yes but stock for stock they are nearly identical in 0-60 despite a weight disadvantage. The ST is absolutely superior in twists and stopping. Comfort is subjective but my opinion the ST is a better ride, Definitely better seats and overall look. Handful of drivers aids that are very useful.
  23. Ford has always listed it as a performance vehicle. They even brag about it being redesigned by the ford performance team specifically vs the sport. https://performance.ford.com/ lists it and its listed on the main website under performance models. I think budget is a concern.. They haven't even updated to a 2019 catalog.
  24. Watching the video again he actually seems to reel him in the most in the curves. The long sweep the miata actually held the lead better. It wasn't until the twists that he got within site. He finally passed after exiting a curve in the straight (maybe due to driver error in the miata). You can see in his mirror in the long sweep the miata only slowly drops away.
  25. Didn't look like the Miata gained much distance in the corners. Definitely not "destroyed". Its hard to say how hard either driver was pushing it but in that direct comparison I would say the edge was all around superior and nearly equal in the corners.
