  1. Thought 32 was the biggest you could do since the 64's would be SDXC and I don't think they are supported.
  2. I believe it does but I wouldn't spend your money on. Most that have it say it is terrible quality. It isn't self retracting and attaches with loops over the headrests. I did post up a retracting version I found on Ebay and someone here bought it but I don't know if they ever posted pictures of it and how you install. I was going to pick it up and try it out but think I may end up tinting all the windows, so with a little more tint it will be very hard to see inside.
  3. Yeah with the new reworked version they brought production here to the states. Didn't remember where they were made originally just remember hearing people bitch that they were made here.
  4. I think maybe they were trying to say not even built in Germany....I believe they make the X3 in SC.
  5. Buy what exactly? I can assume they are not Pirelli's but not sure what they are.
  6. Doesn't sound particularly good, but how old is she? People do lots of stupid things especially when they are young. We hope to get wiser as we get older but we still f up. I would say tread lightly and really think about other decisions she has made. Is there a pattern of decisions like this or was this a one off? I wouldn't decide on a relationship with just one bad decision. Hell I do stupid stuff all the time and my wife still keeps me around. :P
  7. I know this isn't what you want to hear but I would not recommend a tail gate attached bike rack, let alone for three bikes. Especially on the Edge with the rear spoiler I think you are looking for trouble. If you really want to get one though I would stick with a reputable brand that says it fits your vehicle, while it doesn't ensure you won't have problems at least you'll have a better chance than those ones sold at big box stores as one size fits all.
  8. Starting to sound like several issues haven't been fixed. I really hope they get this straightened out quick!
  9. I didn't buy from them yet but have spoken with them and they were very helpful and upfront. At the time they weren't able to help me due to other issues with Ford but that should be resolved now.
  10. I hope it is an APIM issue since that is easy to change. I also suspect they may be using reworked parts for repairs, so that would explain the repeated bad APIM's, just hoping they figure out a new way to test them before releasing them. Just saw another thread where someone with the new SW still has the background noise on calls, where others didn't have this with the old so there must still be some hardware issues out there. Just a matter of what, but I guess that is for Ford to figure out.
  11. Well I think most would agree that Ford has done a terrible job handling this issue. I also suspect there have been several memos sent around Ford and to their delaer network on what to say to customers, one of which being that the file system is currupted. I was told this as well but even with a fresh APIM and programing straight from Ford I still had an inoperable system. Again I am not in anyway defending what they did or how they handled it but at a certain point there really isn't anything else they can do since the expected fix is the software. For us we still enjoy so many other facets of the vehicle that we are hopeful we can salvage the ownership experience, but if these issues continue then we will likely be looking to get out earlier than expected. Hopefully you have good records of the issues, I was keeping a log of failures along with photos to show the problems just in case. Hopefully it won't come to it but it should make any claim a little easier to prove.
  12. I thought about downloading the new software but I am holding out for the official package. While I am pretty damn sure there wouldn't be any difference (other than lack of nav) I am concerned that if I see any issues in the interim I will lose what little confidence I have in this system working properly. At this point we are used to not having phones connected and other quirks that I can survive another week until it shows up. If it still has issues then well I guess Ford gets one more chance to fix it.
  13. There are a ton of places selling them online...the cheapest for me was floodfordesp.com.
  14. I am in the same boat...waiting for the update to come in the mail since we have nav too. We have been plagued with tons of problems and to be honest we were close to selling/lemon law the vehicle. We basically got the same response from Ford that there was nothing else they could do until the update was out. We decided to hold out to see how it actually works since we like so many other things about the Edge. But with all that said I am not really sure what you expected them to do. Just like any system if there is a failure you need to fix/replace the failed part. In this case it was mainly the software and hopefully only the software. So their hands were tied to help you. Personally I have a bigger issue with them pushing this out the door originally with known bugs and continuing to promote the system like it was the best thing ever. I also heard they are giving a small warranty extension but can't confirm that.
  15. Oh man..jetlag must have gotten me on that one. Sorry didn't notice until now that the OP has a 2007, originally hought they were asking of there was much of a difference between the two HIR bulbs.
  16. Yeah I tried it and noticed no improvement. Granted mine were from my previous ride so they were slightly used but since they were highs and the previous ride also had 55W HID's they didn't get used much. But either way I see no big difference, if anything I noticed some annoying hot spots from them. Wouldn't say they are worth it. If you are going to spend that much money get a 55W HID kit and have a lot more light.
  17. People that are having issues please post up what version you had previously....maybe certain versions go through the process better than others?
  18. Can anyone who installed this confimr if the heated seats still have two settings or did they go to three like the early images showed?
  19. Oh man...I am in Germany right now but hope this package is sitting in my mailbox when I return. Can't wait to give it a shot...would love to be able to have our phones connected again.
  20. Weird...thought I responded to this last night. Anyway looks very interesting but as MattBruman mentioned you'll need something to disable teh while in motion video input lock. Currently only Nav TV offers one for MFT but a few months back Coastaletech said theirs was due out in January. Maybe they are holding off to verify it works with new software. But from what I have seen their kits are plug and play so even people under lease could use it.
  21. My first aid kit is in the little cubby in the cargo area. I figured it was close enough in an emergency. As for the headlight indicator that would be a nice addition...in NJ they can/will ticket you if you drive without your lights on in bad weather. Sometimes in light snow I don't use the wipers and it is still pretty bright out so the lights never come on. I think eventually I may end up modifying the LED bars to be DRL's just so I am covered.
  22. Really what did you say? Ours just ended and we are debating on whether or not to keep it. I don't like have buttons for features that don't work so I know eventually it will start to annoy me, just not sure what it is worth to me....but it is definitely worth free.
  23. I did a hitch...well two, but didn't do the wiring. I think the OEM is only 1 1/4" and being that your interests are motocross I assume you'll be towing a trailer so you'll want a 2". If you go aftermarket do yourself a favor and take a look at your exhaust first. The first one I bought ended up contacting the exhaust cans on occasion and drove us nuts. But I did see some said they had yet a different version of exhaust so you may be OK. If you are one of the lucky ones I still have my original hitch I'd sell cheap. We liked it better than the one we have now since all you saw was the reciever...too bad it hit our cans.
  24. Glad to hear it...figured it would come around eventually. But next time document the problem with pictures and video. Because as you have already seen it can just start working fine again before you get in to the dealer. Always good to have records of this just in case you really need to push the issue with Ford. But hopefully the rewrite will get rid of 99% of the problems users are currently seeing.
  25. Good luck...I tried driving in the first time and was told they were booked up and said that their tech that knows the most about the system was out that day. So they wanted to schedule me for when he was in. As for mentioning the fuse pull...that is up to you but SMR, IVT and local dealer techs as well as Ford Regional CS Manager all suggested trying this at some point, along with disconnecting the battery. So I would be very surprised if they gave you a hard time about it. After all they do make the fuse panel user accessible.
