  1. I couldn't find it in the order guide that the Sport gets the Heated steering wheel.
  2. Ford/Lincoln started this differentiation with the 2015 Expedition & Navigator. 365hp/420lb-ft for the Expedition & 380hp/460lb-ft for the Navigator. Though I did not expect it in the Edge Sport since it is supposed to be a SPORT model! Now we need to know what that power translate to in terms of performance & acceleration (0-60 & 1/4 mile). Note that Lincoln advertises the 380hp/460lb-ft rating using 93 octane fuel.http://www.lincoln.com/suvs/navigator/features/Feature1/ Going through the media.ford article, there is no mention of premium fuel requirement for the 2.7 while it is clearly stated for the 2.0. So it might really be just a marketing thing & using regular vs. premium fuel. Also, the media.ford article stated 10% increase in power & 25% increase in torque compared to current 3.7. This works out to 335HP & 350 lb-ft of torque.
  3. If you remove the card, you will lose navigation. Navigation will only work while the SD Card is inserted.
  4. As per the order guide, the 401a package does NOT include the panoramic Vista roof.
  5. Or it's a very old belt that stretched too much for the tensioner to tighten up.
  6. 2011-2012 have a capacitive button, you touch/hold it for a second to turn on/off the hazards. In 2013 they changed it to a physical button.
  7. Your welcome. If the car is still new to you, give it some time & you'll probably get used to it.
  8. They only go up and down. In 2012 the headrests changed to 4-way adjustment, I know that they fit the 2011 models, but don't know about older models. You 2 other options: Raise the headrest so your head touches the lower part of the headrest Wichita is further. Or, Try to remove the headrest, rotate it & reinstall so it is tilted to the back.
  9. This is how to enter the Engineering mode for the 2011+ Edge: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3086315&postcount=2
  10. I also have this problem, it is very annoying. I think the leather might need some type polisher/cleaner, but didn't try yet.
  11. Did you check that the tires are not over inflated? Manufacturer recommendation is 35 psi.
  12. The Edge does not have limited slip axles, its the Traction Control that makes act as such. Also, as far as I know, Ford only used the Haldex AWD in 2005-2007 FiveHundred/Montego/Freestyle. In 2008+ they switched to a Ford developed PTU, including the SHO.
  13. Middle East modifications wouldn't change such things. But here any power outlet in a car that looks like the cigarette lighter plug is named so.
  14. If you mean the ability to exit the car while engine is still running, you just exit. Keep the fiber with you & you'll be able to lock the doors normally using the exterior door handle. There is no special procedure or buttons to do so. But remember that your engine will remain running. Some newer Fords (not sure of the Edge) have an idle auto engine off if the engine remains running for ~45 minutes.
  15. Remember that the AWD works in tandum with the Traction Control & Stability Control.
  16. Maybe the car was previously involved in a front accident & was not repaired/aligned properly? Try to remove the bulbs & make sure they are seated correctly? Make sure they are the correct type for your Edge, HIR2 (9012).
  17. I am always amazed how some tend to take decisions based on (slightly) better mileage when your paying close to 100 grand on a Sports Vehicle. Like what would a 2-5 mpg difference cost you? Take for example 20K miles in a year, USD 4 per gallon & 22 mpg highway ('14 X5 xDrive50) compared to 17 mpg highway ('14 X5m), that would equate to approximately USD 1,000 more in fuel cost. What is 1% of the X5m's cost affect in the decision?? Note: the 2015 X5m now gets the 8-speed & will be more efficient, so there you go, your decision on the X5m couldn't be made any much easier. Congrats in advance.
  18. The feature, as per Ford, is called "Intelligent Access Push Button Start" & you are correct that it is part of the Driver Entry Package". Also,if the car has push button start then it will also have the feature your asking about, they both come as a package.
  19. On my MKX, the cruise set speed & the Speedo match exactly. My guess would be a calibration/software update required. As for akirby's comment regarding the speedo showing a faster speed, you are dead on. This can be confirmed using a GPS, but you can also see that it is actually made in the programming of the cluster, if you enter the engineering/test mode in the cluster, you can see the raw speed displayed which is very close to the GPS reading & higher than the speedometer/cruise speed. Entering the Engineering/Test menu: http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/showpost.php?p=3086315&postcount=2
  20. Found this PDF confirming 6F35: https://canada.fleet.ford.com/downloads/Edge%20EcoBoost%20Press%20ReleaseEN%20-%20Aug8.pdf
  21. I believe the 2.0 EcoBoost Edge has the 6F35 tranny.
  22. The Edge with the 2.0 EcoBoost I believe has a 6F35 tranny.
  23. For anyone needing to replace the PTU, I suggest researching for the Middle East version of the PTU with the oils drain plug. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/13533-13m01-middle-east-ptu-extended-warranty/
  24. Could be the wiper switch/stalk. There was a recent member with a nearly similar problem: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/17087-wipers-stuck-on-intermittent/ Edit: If you have rain sensing wipers, it might be a different problem: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/14556-2011-edge-wipers-turn-on-randomly/
  25. You can also get these, better looking than plain black tire valve stems: http://m.ebay.com/itm/130918503267 Or http://m.ebay.com/itm/131263053788
