Did you check the transmission fluid level? Did you refill with the correct type?

What have you done to/with your Edge/MKX today?
omar302 replied to WWWPerfA_ZN0W's topic in Accessories & Modifications
On the Air filter topic, just that think about it, the same stock filter is also used for the 3.5 EcoBoost engine in the MKS, SHO, Flex, MKT & Explorer Sport which definitely takes in a lot more air than any of the Edge's engines, so I'd be more inclined that there won't be any real benefit from changing the filter to an aftermarket one. -
Even if you plug in the video input, if the rear camera function works in the HU, it would probably still need to be activated on a software level. Hope it works for you though.

2015 Edge Official Pricing with DEALER COST
omar302 replied to exodus's topic in Buying, Leasing & Ordering
For the 2011-2014 Sport, probably the main reason we're the 22" wheels. For the 2015, it is still unknown why. Even though the Engine is similar to the F150's, the balance drivetrain & cooling system are not similar to the F150. -
The Navigation manual might be a general manual, not specific to the MKX. Though I could still be wrong about the Camera on the MKX, but only 90% sure it was something new for the 2011+. Anyway, here is an EBay listing for an 2009-10 Head unit & there does seem to be a line in the back (yellow plug) http://www.ebay.com/itm/381041877974

13N02 - Extended Warranty Coverage on Brake Booster
omar302 replied to omar302's topic in Recalls, TSBs & Warranty
Actually it sounds like you have air in the brake. Who replaced the pads for you? Did they Bleed the brake system? Are there any oil leaks? I think this is a serious safety issue, you need to check it fast. -
The 2007-2009 MKX did not have a back up cam option. If you really need to use the stock Head Unit for the camera display, you check the Sync Lockpic: https://www.coastaletech.com/synclockpick.htm

How to disable horn warning?
omar302 replied to mardyn's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Locks & Remote Start
You can also leave the door ajar on the first indent (first latch). It can be locked, but would be considered as open & not give off the horn beeps. -
On another side of the unknowns, I am concerned that the Sport is also available in FWD. Till date, all Ford's & Lincolns with the 3.5 EcoBoost came AWD (on FWD based platforms), the idea behaind that (i believe) was torquesteer or too much power for the front wheels. So having the 2015 2.7 available with FWD might be an indication of a significantly lower performance compared to the 3.5 EcoBoost in the FWD platforms.

I believe Ford wants to wait till the last minute. Even the output figures for the 2.7 EcoBoost haven't been announced yet.

Auto Dimming Mirror
omar302 replied to enigma-2's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
Check that the rear sensor (behind the mirror) is clear & not blocked. It is supposed to measure the ambient lighting to determine when its daylight so that the mirror does no dim & when its night the mirror would dim. For the map lights, during the night (or rear sensor blocked), yes, the map light will cause the mirror to dim. But during daylight they the mirror will not dim. -
From the Owners Manual (2007) quoted below, notice the following: "coolant temperature gauge will move to the red (hot)", so it seems neither of you have reached the level that causes the Fail-Safe Cooling to kick in. Also, from this part "If the engine coolant supply is depleted", it indicates that the temperature reading is NOT the coolant fluid's temperature, rather it is the actual temperature of the Engine Head or Block.

If you see the linked photo, on the left side of the cargo area above the storage compartment there seems to be a hook shaped slot that's looks to be where a retractable cargo cover connects. http://blogs-images.forbes.com/matthewdepaula/files/2014/07/15fordedge-titanium_26_hr.jpg

Sorry, forgot to add the link. It was supposed to be the same one ls973800 posted. The TPMS uses the same receiver as the remote door locks, hence the same frequency (as far as I know).

outside temperature out of sync
omar302 replied to roadkill401's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
When they are showing different readings, switch the units to Fahrenheit & you'll see that they would have the same reading. Switch back to Celsius & they would be different. This would always happen at the same specific temperature readings, for example at 87 Fahrenheit, the main screen reads 30 degree Celsius and the right cluster screen will read 31. Convert the units to Fahrenheit, then both screens will read the same 87 degree Fahrenheit. When both screens read 30 Celsius, change units back and both will read 86 degree Fahrenheit. The same scenario also happens at some different temp readings. -
Put your VIN in the below link, then check in the details of equipment, you'll find either 315 or 433.

Best Interior LED Kit?
omar302 replied to TMedge01's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
Because officially the puddle lamps are replaced as an assembly, you will have to open the lamp housing to replace the bulb inside it. It's a fairly simply process. -
Battery Drain, Door Ajar and Terrible Service assistance...
omar302 replied to ANDERSONBD's topic in 2011 Edge & MKX
Yes, seems I was incorrect. I was unable to find the info I thought I read before. It seems to be for the tires and they would be covered by its manufacturer. -
Battery Drain, Door Ajar and Terrible Service assistance...
omar302 replied to ANDERSONBD's topic in 2011 Edge & MKX
ANDERSONBD, I would suggest going to a different dealer. 1st, the battery pro-rate replacement warranty should be applicable if it's written on the battery. If I remember correctly, it was also mentioned in the warranty guide (re-read it & did not find it). 2nd, for the door latch, there is a TSB telling dealers how to fix it without replacement. (attached). . TSB 14-0011 Door Ajar Lamp Remains Illuminated With Doors Closed 2011-13 Edge_MKX.pdf -
Take it to the dealer. Good luck with AlMana Motors!!

I would guess that the fleet only daytime lights are the old fashioned type using the headlights, while the configurable ones uses LED. Or that simply the fleet option is non configurable (always on).
-
Your lights might be aimed too low. Try to align them or raise them a bit, it's easy & explained in the manual. This thread might also help in how to: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/6077-2011-hid-vertical-adjuster/

Among the standard equipment for the SE (should also be applicable to all other trims) under "Exterior" are "Configurable Daytime Running Lamps".

Swalker, 1) Yes, the system does revert the auto dim setting with ambient lights. That's what I have been facing from a long time. The display reverts to full brightness and I would have to switch the mode to night then back to auto to get it back to my setting. 2) I didn't read about the issue from anyone else, so I guess it won't be fixed in the update because there aren't many who noticed it. 3) The APIM, which is the brains of MyFord Touch has an extended warranty to 5 years from purchase date without any mileage limitations. Lincolns are extended 1 more year (6 years).
