    This video shows how the fuel management system cuts off fuel or rather leans it way out to save fuel and increase gas mileage. Very interesting to watch as the 3.5 duratec performs.

    Never judge a book by it's cover. Outside of the rotor looked excellent. The inside was a completely different story.

    I use KYB excel G shocks and struts closest thing to OEM other than Motorcraft. I think the KYB's offer a little stiffer shock and I like that more than a softer shock like the OEM

    Here is the video I made removing the chrome cladding on a wheel. Not really all that difficult. Heat and elbow grease along with a hammer and pry bar. Cleaning it will be the challenge.

    WOW quite a rant. 1) To establish you are an ASE mechanic for? Fiat? 2) Water leak? you own a 2008 and I assume since you are a mechanic you know how to clean AC coil drain tubes? maybe not. 3) The solenoid you speak of is a classic TSS and OSS failure which is not physical to the transmission. Any medium experienced mechanic can change these out for 200-300 dollars and few hours of time in their garage. 4) Why are you going to the dealer for them to repair if you are an ASE mechanic? (Fiat) 5) Your price quote of $15,000.00 is both outlandish and fictional (yes i will call it a lie) 6) Replacing the transmission? Who did the work? if it is not working correctly take if back for rework as you paid 3000 dollars they own you warranty at least. 7) referencing #6, If you are an ASE mechanic? (Fiat) why did you not perform the work yourself? 8) My Ford edge just now needs new brakes at 87,000 miles no warping. My other edge at 92K miles had some warping OEM also and My 2008 Edge went 175,000 miles on the OEM brakes before replacement. Maybe you need to keep your foot off the brake? Helps prevent this and you get better gas mileage. 9) ECU? Most mechanics on dealing with Ford Edge refer to this as the PCM? ASE Mechanic (Fiat) anyway. This issue is also repairable by amateur to moderate mechanics. by simply removing the PCM sending it off to be repaired for about or under 200 dollars. New coils and plugs 400 dollar repair and by ALL reports fixes the 3.5 with great results. You may have received tons of sympathy and support in your post had you ask question on how to repair the above issues. Heck I would of helped!!! I have actually helped a member in person and worked on his edge for him. Instead you chose the lowest possible road to attempt to defeat who? Yourself? The image you have provide everyone is unflattering at best and hopefully your life is getting set up for a better disposition. The offer is open if you ever want to ask a question for assistance.     I am guessing I got the lottery win of the Ford Edges. over 530,000 miles between three of them and have had a few issues, but nothing to cause great concern. I of course spend money on the maintenance of the Edge and most likely more than most people but in turn I receive back the reliability.

    Yep need new shocks. I always change mine by 100k if not sooner. I inspect them and if leaking any small amount I replace them. You are over due for shocks and struts. Plus it will make the Edge handle better.

    If as stated you suspect the 1,2,3 coils might be of an issue. When you change the plugs move them to the 4,5,6 position. This way if they are acting up and you need to change a coil it is far easier to do if you only want to change the one that is bad.

    Change it every 10K miles and you should not suffer any failures.

    I will start posting again in this topic once the replacement (Lullubelle, 2011 Ford Edge) reaches 200,000 miles in about 10 months.

    I decided to install a bug deflector on my 2011 Ford Edge. All I can say is buyer be ware. AVS shield is good but they seriously dropped the ball with the anchors and fasteners.

    Did some research on the transmission fluids and related some basic information without diving too deep into the weeds. Result just change the transmission fluid it is cheaper than a new transmission.

    Tested the power steering fluid and it is looking great and the test results from Blackstone Labs revealed it was in great shape.

    How can a 4 dollar spark plug cause so much damage?

    Got more growl out of the ole Edge. Not much else but it was fun.

    Removed the dealer stickers finally!!

    Needed more light inside so I installed these LED's for the interior.

    Some do and they have had to replace it.

    Things have been going great with Lullubelle not issues until today when the cantankerous ole thing decided to throw a fit. New drivers side window to be installed once I get the parts and time to install it.

    Just how many miles are on those shock in the rear . Worn rear shocks will also cause inner rib wear on the Edge rear tires.

    That is also where all the rumble strips are located.
