  1. A non-contact thermometer is not suitable for this. Get one of these cheap digital thermometers at Walgreens and fix it with tape, or whatever method you decide, at the outlet of one of the vents and record the temperature at low fan speed and high speed. A meat thermometer would also work. https://www.walgreens.com/store/c/procheck-30-second-flexible-dishwasher-safe-digital-thermometer-model%3a-mt1p21-pro/ID=prod6175073-product It sounds like an AC gas issue.
  2. I believe the OP was quite clear that he wanted OEM, not knock-off or third party aftermarket, and the two eBay links in this thread and the OP's Craigslist find are OEM, typically new "Take-Off's". The OP was looking for OEM, and that's not what you'll find at Summit Racing.
  3. I can't find OEM wheels on Summit Racing - could you post a direct link?
  4. Bet that's it, because I've heard that Ford Corp's rate they get for warranty work is very low compared to what they get from client paid services. How does the OP know that Ford Corp was actually called - might have been a bluff - I'd first try another dealer, and if that wasn't satisfactory I'd call Ford Corp. I wouldn't mention who's been doing the lube services.

Those specs would be quite adequate for basic use, such as web browsing, MS Office etc., but if you intended using image software such as Photoshop, or video editing software, then I'd go for something with a larger SSD drive and more RAM. If you're a Costco member, take a look at theirs - usually best prices and unbeatable warranty.
  6. This is where I'd buy them: https://www.ebay.com/itm/20-FORD-EDGE-SPORT-PVD-CHROME-WHEELS-RIMS-FACTORY-OEM-2018-SET-4-10047-EXCHANGE/201572058122?fits=Make%3AFord%7CModel%3AEdge%7CSubmodel%3ASEL&epid=819232295&hash=item2eeea1840a%3Ag%3AlosAAOSwyGZaIZVO&_sacat=0&_nkw=ford+edge+sel+wheels&_from=R40&rt=nc&LH_TitleDesc=0
  7. Thanks, looks like we have exposed another defect with the recent forum "upgrade", I responded to the post with that question based on his post count showing "1 posts", whereas he does have additional posts.
  8. Same here, but not unexpected seeing as the gas tank is such an irregular shape makes it virtually impossible to get a perfectly accurate and linear level measurement. Its a rough guide only.
  9. https://www.eia.gov/todayinenergy/detail.php?id=11031 It could be something as simple as the gas used for your return trip being very different - I get different gas near my home (reformulated) to gas stations near work, 40 miles out of town (not reformulated). You may think that you see benefit in resetting the ECU based on unregulated test environment, but without any engineering explanation based on controlled testing I'd personally not do this.
  10. The spark plugs are good for at least 100,000 miles and if you don't have any misfiring there'd be no point or gain changing them early. Also, I'd advise against resetting the ECU because doing so wipes out all the adaptive tuning constants - the ECU is always "learning" and applying tuning adjustments based on the many variables encountered such as fuel, ambient temperature, driving style, .......
  11. I was under the vehicle to set the jack stands for tire rotation and found these two underbody shields rattling, and realised that its the source I've heard when the sound system was turned off, then a search produced this thread. Thanks for the TSB - I'll consider getting the dealership to take care of it when I next get it serviced, but for now I did something similar to the video in this thread, but using two wraps of string and tied. Feels secure, and will check it again after a few thousand miles. Keen to know what parts the factory fix uses, and how to detach these plastic securing clips.
  12. 2017 Sport. Up until now I've had the dealership rotate tires when doing a lube service, but plan on doing all services myself from now on, including the tire rotation. After rotation which procedure should I use to teach the TPMS which wheel is in what location, and is the learning tool worth the $25. Ford 8C2Z-1A203-A TPMS Transmitter
  13. You're right. Odd that the 2.0EB has what appears to be a more robust PTU arrangement compared to the 2.7EB. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/10914-ptu-leak-failures/page-27
  14. It could be, but would be great if @macbwt would respond and confirm what he was referring to. One of our members posted pictures of his PTU that had cooling fins, drain plug, and the air scoop, which looked more robust than my Sport's PTU.
  15. Then you're getting about average, I get 23-24 mpg in mixed town and highway. We operate our vehicles in a very uncontrolled environment, and with the same driver, same vehicle, same route, same climate, don't expect to achieve exactly the same consumption figure from one day to the next. Did you apply the "tune" for improved economy?
  16. Glad someone else asked. With my 2017 Sport I get 22-23 mpg in winter and 23-24 mpg in summer, with a mix of 80 mph highway and 40 mph town driving. Its odd that in summer the AC compressor is running a good deal of the time, and the mpg is better.
  17. Glad I stumbled on this thread. The backrest is not cooling anything like the seat, and I cant recall when it stopped working - 2017 Sport.
  18. Can anyone else confirm if the very latest models have air induction and increased lube volume as @macbwt indicated? That sounds more plausible.
  19. I browsed the web site and couldn't find confirmation that their "tint" was also intended for the front windshield - can you confirm? It's also not 'clear' how dark the tint needs to be to effectively reduce cabin heat, and if that grade of tint would be legal. http://www.christopherteh.com/blog/2013/03/car-cool/
  20. I've heard that the windshields are inherently UV blocking, so I Googled and it seems to confirm that. https://www.theglobeandmail.com/globe-drive/culture/commuting/does-my-windshield-protect-me-from-the-sun/article12495123/
  21. That just doesn't make sense, I've never heard of a "Clear Tint".
  22. My 2017 Sport has the drain plug, but not the air induction, nor increased gear lube volume - did the air induction and increased lube come later than 2017? Not sure what the gear lube volume was on previous versions, but mine is just shy of a quart.
  23. Window tinting will most certainly reduce the cabin temperature, but many, like myself, have the factory privacy tinting and not prepared to apply anything that's darker/illegal , and there's no way a 100% transparent coating on the windshield will reduce the cabin temperature. I would not consider tinting the front windshield. Maybe you should give a shade a try, ....... you might be surprised.
  24. Please post a link to that coating. I can understand how it would help in the rain, but don't understand how it will keep out the Texas sun rays.
