  1. 6 months on 2019 Titanium, not one transmission issue.
  2. I've been using E10 in all of my watercraft (Wakeboarding boat, pontoon boat, 2x Waverunners) for over 10 years with absolutely zero issues. They are all fuel injected. I put Sta-Bil in the gas at every fill-up, which I would do even with E0. There is little E0 available anywhere around me and it's 50-70 cpg more expensive. I also use E10 in all of the small engines at my farm. Again, zero issues. I see no reason to use E0. Certainly not in a car.
  3. 4 to 48 hours? It turns off every time you turn the engine off. It does not turn off as long as the engine remains on.
  4. Color of the coolant has nothing to do with the coolant chemistry. There is no standard regarding color.
  5. Not sure that works in the EU.
  6. You don't have to go to the dealer to do anything. Just contact Ford Credit. You may also be successful paying less than the residual, I've done it a few times, it's my experience that they really don't want the car back.
  7. Just drove 22 miles past 0 miles to empty and squeezed in 17.8 gallons. So the 'reserve' at 0 miles to go is about 1.6 gallons.
  8. If you have adaptive cruise, you know why. The system tends to ride the brakes like an old lady.
  9. No millennial here, I'm 59 and I still race MX. I use the brakes to slow down on bikes, just like in cars. Have you overheated your brakes yet? I've only overheated the brakes in any car exactly one time, pounding laps in my BMW 330i ZHP at Monitcello Raceway. 10 laps into the session the pedal just went to the floor and I almost went into the grass. I just can't see this happening on the road, even in a high performance sports car being driven aggressively, much less in an Edge trundling around. But what do I know?
  10. Our 2019 just started doing this. Anyone else? SSM 48336 - 2019 Various Vehicles - Audio Voice Prompt Concerns While Providing Directions Some 2019 F150, Ranger, Continental, Edge, Nautilus, Mustang, Fusion or MKZ may experience voice prompts that skip, hiccup or have short pauses while directions are being provided. No repairs should be made to attempt to correct this condition. Engineering is currently investigating the concern. Monitor Oasis for updates.
  11. Are you saying the serious safety defect is not limited to the FWD models? SelectShift also will not slow the vehicle down in AWD models? The NHTSA must be alerted immediately so a recall can be issued to correct this dangerous and unsafe condition!
  12. Didn't you contact the NHTSA and tell them the 2019 Edge has a serious safety defect? What did they say? I would expect them to issue a recall for this defect.
  13. As the Cap'n said in Cool Hand Luke, "Some men, you just can't reach".
  14. I find this thread laughable. The reference to brakes overheating is clearly in the off-roading section of the manual. Not being able to manually shift an automatic transmission is not a safety issue and will not be addressed by the NHTSA. Furthermore, all literature regarding the Edge clearly states that SelectShift is only available with AWD, so if this feature was so important to you, it was available simply by getting one with AWD. As for the cruise control holding speed down grades, the adaptive cruise control holds the speed perfectly...by applying the brakes, not downshifting. An Edge is not a tractor trailer, you do need to downshift going down long grades, the brakes aren't going to overheat. I suppose you now keep a watchful eye out for runaway track ramps, just in case? ?

  16. You have to stick your foot pretty far under the bumper and swipe it sideways to activate the hatch. Pretty much impossible to do while leaning into the hatch area.
  17. Changing full synthetic every 3,000 miles is ridiculous. Even with 10,000 mile OCI the rest of the vehicle will fall apart long before the engine will wear out.
  18. I doubt whatever noise you are hearing is a turbo bearing.
  19. 2019, looking forward to seeing the 8 spd trans improves performance. Lots of new tech stuff too.
  20. We got tired of our Lincoln MKC and decided to get another Edge. Identical to the 1st Edge, Titianium, 301A, Cold Weather Package. Paid Invoice -$700 and got $7000 in rebates. So right at $10000 off MSRP. Got a decent trade in value too. It was impossible to say no.
  21. 21 mm is the correct size.
