  1. Sounds like a water pump, especially if it's a 3.5l, or head gasket causing your issues.
  2. I can't look it up but I put a much larger 750 or 800 cca battery in my 3.5L 2013 SEL, your crazy if you live in the prairie provinces and run any less, and it fit perfect in the battery tray and such. Just took a little more effort to wiggle into place but once there it flopped in. Since they seem to have change the engine bay layout so little from then to now I would be surprised if it didn't fit.
  3. Really they could have just done a 7 speed like they are now doing in the 2021 with the ratios they chose from a performance perspective. My best guess, but nothing definitive, is they added 2nd for keeping the rpms up higher but should have been more around 3.5ish, close ratios can work in the right transmission see the camaro and corvette 10 speed. Eight was added for mileage, which definitely worked.
  4. There are so many factors that determine mpg especially ecoboosts. How much stop and go? Do you vary speed alot? How much idling? Are heavy footed when accelerating? You can try air filter, spark plugs and premium fuel but no guarantee it will help. The 2.0ls can do 30mpg or more on the highway but in the city unless you have long distances of cruising getting over 20mpg US is a tall ask for any bigger suv or full size car. If you live in Canada and are comparing the gauge mpg to the CAD claimed mpg, don't. The dash shows US mpg in which case you are getting the mpg you expected since CAD mpg is roughly 30 percent higher due to the larger gallon..
  5. Because the 2.0L 8 speed is shared with Chev but with 1 gear already removed, the final OD gear. You can likely only remove so many gears from initial design.
  6. Considering this try omar's suggestion first. I've always had them pop but there is always the exception.
  7. Oh ok, I put aftermarket HIDs when I had my 2013 and when they were a different color to each other it was either a ground or ballast. you could swap ballasts left to right and see if the color problem follows.
  8. Did you just buy it or just replace a bulb? There are different color/temperature bulbs.
  9. It's likely not overheated. You didn't post year and miles but the ptu can out right fail, have a bad sensor, uneven worn tires, etc that can cause a message like that. You can try a scanner but you'll likely have to take it to a shop.
  10. They may not be recommended but the 3.5L eco raptor guys were running the sp542s for a cold plug. The sp578s are now their recommended stock plug, both plugs that Sport/ST people use and are actually a hotter plug than the sp578. The M-12405-35T Is now actually the recommended replacement for the sp542s for them wanting a cold plug so it should be fine otherwise the other plugs should've caused issues also.
  11. I strongly suggest, many others on here will to, to go with zfg tuning instead. Maybe you will be ok with taking it to their dyno but their rep outside of a stock tune upgrade has not been great with these engines.
  12. Yep edge is mounted like fwd and f150 is mounted like rwd so very little if anything is mounted the same.
  13. If you find an intake and all it is, is a tube and cone filter don't get it. These engine bays get hot and you'll just suck in heat from the motor. Unleashed does good tuning so it's likely legit. Unless the parts are internal for the f150 they won't work. Edge is a transverse mounted engine unlike the f150 so engine bay is drastically different. Same with the under carriage.
  14. Haha ok sounds good. When you mentioned lifting it I immediately pictured a 6 inch lift with 35"ers on it.
  15. Wow it does exist. Can't say I've seen anyone on here do it and I can't say if it's any good. https://www.4wheelparts.ca/v/ford-edge/suspension/shock-absorbers-shock-accessories/_/N-1slhxZcm61p https://traxda.com/109030.html It's not really the platform for it, it's basically a ford fusion(unibody) but whatever floats your boat.
  16. The 301A does come with heated steering wheel. To turn it on and off in the climate settings. It will also auto turn on with command start when it's cold. If you update or get the dealer to update it to sync version 3.4 it adds a more convenient button to the home screen.
  17. If you join the Ford Edge ST - Got Boost? group there is a mixed list of ST and sport times under announcements. Quickest one listed is 13.47. I'm sure there's quicker, hope I'm quicker considering I have a little more done than him, but I didn't get to run it before everything shut down for the season.
  18. Sorry I don't have access to them on weekends. Basically really damn tight and then check them in a few hundred miles for piece of mind.
  19. Old post bud, but just to inform you, lots of 2019s needed to have a flash done to enable them. It took about 6-8 months after the 2019 being released for the update to become available, it had nothing to do with instrument settings.
  20. You're welcome. My dealership still looks at me cross eyed and confused with uncertainty when I tell them there is an update and need it done after 2 years.
  21. That was answered in my first response to to the OP's very first post.
  22. Yes they are no different than any other rim you'd buy for the purpose, unless you really wanted to go steel.
  23. My winter tires and rims cost the same as a set of new 21" tires. So other than storing a 2nd set of wheels and seasonal change over there are no cons.
  24. Yes 2015 and up will work. You can actually go as small as some 18's, 20's fit easy from those years.
