  1. You'll probably need a new fuel pump too.
  2. The latest update was released June 2nd. I've had it for a week and so far no complaints.
  3. Then I guess you'll have to take it in. Every google search result I see explains doing it that way, power or not.
  4. In the pdf you posted, it has for power lift gate but right below that it has for all vehicles, this will include even if you have the power lift gate, to release the manual release, steps 5 and 6. They want you to insert a certain size screw driver in a certain way and slide it to the left to catch the manual release lever, it has nothing to do with the button you keep trying to press. I'd post the instructions but best you go read them and look at the picks for it.
  5. From what i get there are 2 ways. 1 with the button, this will only work if the motor is still functioning and it's the outside button that died. The other way is shown below that incase the motor quits responding. You should now be trying the all vehicles way. You did check to make sure your hatch isn't dissabled in you dash menu? some have had luck just turning that setting off and on again.
  6. Wait a few months for the windshield and dash to start getting a dust build up. ? Seriously though most new vehicles that have any kind of a dash end up with it when lighting and angle is right for it. Short of making the dash less reflective that's about all. even with carpet on it you would still see it some what at times.
  7. Not very likely, almost impossible, there are a lot of bolts. It is something you'll want to have looked at though if it turns out to be water pump, the likely culprit, or head gasket left too long it will take out your motor.
  8. A sweet smell is a coolant leak. If they had done something involving the coolant system I'd say it takes a while for it to burn off but from what you listed nothing would cause that from what they did. Look for wet or pooled coolant. You didn't mention year or engine but the water pump is driven by the timing chain and is common to fail after so long on the 3.5l, it could also be a head gasket leak, which would cause you missfire.
  9. Did you check your power steering fluid? Sounds like it's low.
  10. I don't baby mine and had alot of oil and specks of carbon going through the pcv hose when I put my catch can at 19000 kms. The thought of that going into the intake and through the motor would still make me want a catch can to prevent and catch any build up that does form whether this is true or not. the amount of build up and how fast it forms in DI engines makes me doubt an italian tune up works with these.
  11. They replace your O2 sensor and trick your computer into thinking all is good when you have a gutted cat and can't program it out atm. Otherwise your sensors will say there is a problem and can either richen or lean out the air fuel mixture to try and make the postcat O2sensors happy. Some vehicles you can get away with it others will barely run.
  12. If the paper work is filled out right and the part is manufactured in US, Mexico or Europe there should be no duty unfortunately this gets messed up alot and good luck fighting it when it does happen. I also bet though the tuner module is made in china. I however never had to pay duty on my h&r springs, jlt catch can and ronin oil plug along with alot of camaro parts. Now you may be charged gst and pst, which looks to be the case here plus ups's brokerage fees.
  13. Except he says there is no wobble or vibration. If it only does it with these wheels I'd have the tire dismounted and see if the tps sensor is broken off.
  14. They are the same hubs. Only Engine and cosmetic stuff changed from 2007 to 2014. Could be a sensor loose.
  15. Nothing special should be needed. Did you have them balanced? checked for being bent?
  16. Omg use a different shop now! You don't gut catalytic converters unless you have O2 sims or a way to tune them out. Some vehicles can end up running terrible after if you don't and no decent shop would have considered this a fix or diagnostic test. The problem could be still just a bad O2 sensor, which will indicate a catalytic converter is bad when it isn't, or still bad gas cap. Sorry but imo they should have never touched anything that they did unless you missed listing other diagnostic details.
  17. Your O2 sensors can be triggered if your exhaust gases aren't right like running too lean or too rich. A weak fuel pump/low fuel pressure can seem fine while driving and cause a stall at idle or coming to a stop. You have replaced a lot of stuff. At the cost of having the fuel pressure checked I would have insisted to have it checked well before the amount of money you spent, before changing the egr and tearing off the head for sure. You say they repaired the catalysts, did they replace the O2 sensors also? I don't see them listed. When you can't find the problem you have to stop assuming that untested things are fine. One other thing I just thought of, since I've heard of odder things, have you changed your fuel cap? They are vented and if they get plugged up they can cause some odd problems.
  18. Yes there are weeping holes in the muffler, so unfortunately with how rich ford tuned these things we end up with black mufflers.
  19. Ah ok. I could see them considered that then.
  20. Huh? They are factory ford rims and are to my knowledge an edge only item. A hubcap/wheel cover you would see a steel rim, not the brake caliper. Wheel skin could see maybe but sorry no those aren't.
  21. I just lowered mine and my wife hates modded vehicles too but got to lower the edge. She doesn't notice any difference, although to me the odd thing is it actually seemed to be stiffer with the winters but ride better with the summers/factory rims and tires. Handling is definitely improved though.
  22. Could be alot of things but start with the basics. How many miles and when were the spark plugs last done?
  23. https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2019/MC-10162071-0001.pdf It's for your car but you are talking about rods? The tsb you referenced is all to do with coolant in the engine/mysterious low coolant problems. Unless you are exhibiting those problems it doesn't pertain to you currently.
  24. I also considered the f-pace and macan, but having no local dealers for them and having a good ford dealer local we went with the ST. Not considered the same class in ways but we weighed pros and cons and am still happy....so far.
