My 19 ST came with the hood insulator, it was an early build.

I cannot answer your direct question, but. I have a 2019 edge ST, my owners manual states to use blend. I know a lot of people use full synthetic, and not that Ford engineers know everything but they spent a lot of money on what works best, so that’s what I use in mine. Just my opinion

Suggestion, have you looked into having a tint film put on the chrome? I did not look the Ford ovals on the front and back, had a tint film put on. I like it a lot better.

I have read a lot about changing it out on the 2.0, but could not find anything on the 2.7. Does that apply to the 2.7 as well, as I have the orange looking in my ST.
