I continue to get "invalid address" error when I try to set a phone book entry as my destination. If it isn't supported, they should remove the button. Davom97 Posted September 21, 2012 Report Share Posted September 21, 2012 First noticeable glitch for me has to do with the reverse alarms. As they always have, when they detect something and beep, the systems drops the volume level on whatever audio source is playing. But now, when the reverse alarms stop, the volume level stays low and does not resume to it's previous level. Not even if I put it in park, drive or whatever. The only reset so far that I've figured out and turning off the ignition. wlepse Posted September 23, 2012 Report Share Posted September 23, 2012 Oh man, what an experience this MFT has become and not a good one. The ast few weeks the system has started to lag real bad, voice cammands stopped working, touch input was pathetic, random audio source changes, nav is extra miserable then today it just locked up completely. Tried the reboot boot app a few times and finally got the system somewhat stable but still had a bad lag. SO while I had wanted to wait on the update I figured it couldn't get much worse. So I started the update and about 15 minutes in I see a screen saying the USB drive has been removed or can't be detected. Tried unplugging and replugging but nothing worked. It was being read because the LED would flash but always got the same error. I tried to use the reboot app but that didn't work. Tried pulling the fuse and that failed. Eventually I went in to get something to eat and figured I would try one more time. This time the install seemed to restart on its own and did seem to finish. SMR confirms the install but I am highly suspect everything is as it should be so I have a feeling I will be going to the dealer to have them wipe and resinstall just to be safe. When it was in that loop of not acknowledging the flash drive I was worried that I would have to take it in today since nothing worked. 11Edge Posted September 24, 2012 Report Share Posted September 24, 2012 I installed this past Saturday. Took between 40 and 45 minutes. I had to repair the phones and reset the presets on SiriusXm. Did not have to reset the AM and FM presets. When I went in to report successful installation this morning Sync already showed that I had 3.2.2 installed. wlepse Posted September 24, 2012 Report Share Posted September 24, 2012 Forgot to mention...all radio presets stayed but audio settings rear cam settings and I am sure others changed. Just haven't had the time to dig through the menus after a two hour install. I also had to re pair the phones but didn't check if the usb drive was functioning or if it had to rebuild command list. Only one preset is actually right, it just so happened that was the one I tested. guessing that the glitch in the install caused this, now I have to try to remember which ones they were. I had Maplecrest (my dealer) do my update, and thank god, all seems to be okay. Has now been about 3 weeks, and did trips to Southampton, NY & Rehoboth Beach, De, and the nav performed flawlessly, and everything else is working normally, too. Wish you the best. Everything went well-it took about 35 minutes-the system rebooted and is operating correctly. When I brought back my USB drive to the computer to report a successful installation, SMR could not verify the installation. It found the USB drive OK but it appears that there is no log file on the drive to report back to SMR. I emailed SMR to explain the problem but have not heard back from them. Does anyone have a suggestion? BT4T-14D546-ED, BT4T-14D546-FA, DA5T-14D545-ASA, ATA, AUA, AVA, AXA, AQA, BAA, BBA, BCA, BDA, BEA, DA5T-14D546-AF, HA, JB, KA, LB, NA, PA, RA, SB, VB, XB, DA5T-14F497-AF, AG, DM5T-14D621-AB ect. installed and working correctly. I work for a Ford Dealer as a Sync Specialist. I talked to several people at the dealer hot line for employees only and they could not help. It has since bee turned over to a higher department. I did 3 updates last week on customer cars. A 2012 Edge and a 2012Explorer and both of those went fine and i was able to report the install and the SYNC account was updated. Tried to do the same on my wifes 2013 escape Titanium and the install hung up part of the way through the install. As a procaution i took it to Ford dealer and had them redo it. MFT was updated - it rebooted twice as expected - and it worked fine after the install - Yay, I now have the temp on the main screen. My only problem is on the computer side. ladybird4 Posted September 30, 2012 Report Share Posted September 30, 2012 No apps are available to download. The button that says apps is to do upgrades at this point. Yes 3.2 is the latest version. Dealer may or may not do the install based on what you tell them. If you are having problems they may check oasis and see the update and do it. The download is on your Sync My Ride sight. You can download it yourself to a flash drive and install it yourself. Directions are on the Sync sight and it takes about 45 minutes.
