  1. That's exactly it - should be the exact same hardware as the 2017s.
  2. It's based on an algorithm that looks at how you drive (idling, stop and go, highway miles, etc.) plus temps, etc. It's not a fixed value but under normal driving conditions it should be around 7500 miles.
  3. Not sure how it connects - it's all internal. It's been available on other models for awhile now.
  4. Both but the back isn't nearly as strong as the seat.
  5. I don't think it has a separate amp (other than the subwoofer) if it's not a Sony but I'm not 100% sure. Crutchfield usually has good instructions on whether you need to bypass an existing amp or not give your specific car year and model. Check with them.
  6. It varies by vehicle but always on seems to be a thing of the past, at least with the CD4 vehicles (Fusion, Edge). Probably have to wire in a separate charger to an always hot circuit. But you have to be careful with running down the battery - these vehicles already have a lot of battery issues.
  7. Depends on how "technical" you want to get, but ok I'll give you that one.
  8. According to my sources it's a new usb module. Should have more details in a day or two. The price on the 2016 module is $27 so it doesn't look to be an expensive upgrade.
  9. It's sync connect. You have to add the embedded modem unless it comes with the vehicle.
  10. Take them to the parts dept and have them look up the parts for the seatback and ask them why there is a cooling device in the seatback.
  11. 1 - yes 2 - you have to pull up on it to engage it and you have to hold it to activate it while moving Accidental engagement is not a problem.
  12. I've been in IT for 30 years. Nothing would surprise me. Maybe the extra hardware wasn't available in quantity for the 2016 vehicles.
  13. You usually have to do that after an IOS upgrade as well.
  14. Iphone charges just fine and it works fine with siri eyes free and as a media player. If there is an added module then it's for apple security.
  15. Interesting - I still think it must be a usb port upgrade. I'll see if I can find out.
  16. I don't think external heat is the problem - it's internal heat. But it certainly won't hurt.
  17. They have not announced CarPlay for sync or MFT yet - it's possible. You need to go into the sync connection on your iPhone and turn notifications back on.
  18. Excessive toe in or toe out could cause excessive wear - did they check that?
  19. You said to correct you if you were wrong. You weren't wrong. A couple of points to add though. A special order is the same as any other dealer order except for the priority. If the dealer follows the rules then a retail (sold) order has a priority of 10-19 while stock orders are 20-99. When a dealer gets allocation Ford pulls the lowest priority order that can be built (sometimes a paint color or option isn't available that week) and schedules it. If a dealer has no allocation, your order doesn't get scheduled. If there are multiple orders with the same priority it goes by oldest order date first.
  20. But is the wear even or uneven? Bad alignment can cause uneven wear but it wouldn't normally cause faster wear across the entire tread. On a FWD vehicle (including FWD based AWD) the front tires will wear faster. And if it's worn down to the point of leaking then you shouldn't be driving. I think I got 35K out of the Michelins on our 2008 Edge. On my 2 Fusions I've rarely got more than 25K. So 30K isn't that bad.
  21. Well that's exactly what they'll do - deny warranty coverage for the repair. But if you disagree that the problem was related to your modifications then you can challenge it legally.
