  1. Yes but it's only proof by a preponderance of the evidence, not proof beyond a reasonable doubt. If you're running oversized tires they're not going to cover wheel bearings or suspension components. If they know you had a tune and your transmission shows signs of too much torque they may not cover it.
  2. Nothing voids the entire warranty but if you have engine or transmission problems that Ford believes was caused by the tuner then they might refuse to cover that specific problem. Those problems seem to be rare though. You can put the stock tune back in before taking it for service.
  3. Won't help performance. A tuner is your best bet.
  4. Could be a USB 3.0 port vs an existing 2.0 port. Not sure why they wouldn't just include it with all sync 3 vehicles from the beginning. It's possible they thought 2.0 would work but testing showed problems.
  5. Let's hold off until we get the actual details. Hardware upgrade may not apply or it may be a minor thing.
  6. None expected other than a few color changes (too good to be blue is being replaced with a slightly different blue).
  7. I believe it continues to cool the turbo if necessary after you shut off the engine.
  8. I'll have to play with it and see how it works - I just created a new playlist the other day for some new music. It seems like if I have shuffle turned off and I use voice control to "play playlist new" that it plays in the listed order and not alphabetically.
  9. Even with good struts there is a good bit of resistance when you close it manually.
  10. Mechanical binding means something is in the way preventing it from closing. Can you disconnect the power liftgate arm and try it manually? That would tell you if it's the motor or the struts.
  11. Don't forget the PTU is covered for 5 yrs/60K miles so an extended warranty would only add another 2 yrs/40K miles (for a 7/100 ESP).
  12. I think you need to escalate to Ford. If the normal customer service number doesn't help try FordService on facebook or twitter. You may have to go to another dealer.
  13. Ford determines the best cold pressure for both performance and fuel economy. It's safe - the TPS warning won't go off until you drop to around 26 psi. Even 30 would be safe for normal driving but mpg would probably suffer. 35 or 37 is fine. I wouldn't go below 32 or above 40.
  14. The problem with getting a brand new one is it will always be more expensive than keeping an older one. Of course you get a lot for that extra cost. If you buy another used one then you may end up with one that needs even more work than the one you already have. If you want to save money keep it. If you're just tired of it and want something different trade it for a new or used model but don't do it just to save money.
  15. It's possible - depends entirely on how much the dealer is willing to go to bat for you with Ford.
  16. Yep - 35 is fine unless you have a lot of weight in it or you're towing.
  17. i considered leasing with a planned buyout just to keep payments low while we paid off another vehicle. It's just another way to finance the vehicle. You could purchase it and trade it in every 3 years with virtually the same result - it's just more money up front and more hassle if you want to turn it back in and walk away.
  18. We were sold on it and would have gotten one if we could have found one in stock with the right options. We felt the Luxe was different and would not show dirt quite as bad so that was our first choice and we got lucky as they pulled one off the delivery truck at our local dealer about 12 hours after we left the night before.
  19. No you want the wheel to be able to move. If neither front wheel moves try turning the wheel to the 1'oclock position. If it's not the tie rods then it might be the rack.
  20. They've been in use for almost 7 years now. I think if there were any longevity issues we'd be seeing more failures. So far I don't think it's any worse than failures on NA engines. Obviously that could change over the next few years but so far so good.
  21. Looking at the Ford accessory site they do look rather small.
