We only had them in for a few minutes (we're in Atlanta so we don't need them very often), but I don't recall any fitment issues on the rears. It almost sounds like you got the wrong mats for the Edge.

Especially when you're listening to the Revel audio system.

what tires came on your edge? (from the factory)
akirby replied to ben senise's topic in Wheels & Tires
South Korea. -
Hmm....the MKX all weather mats are full sized for the front. Strange that Edge would be different.

Ambient Lighting by the Footwell
akirby replied to oskar27's topic in 2015+ Edge & MKX Generation II
I am ashamed to admit it took me several days to realize there was a page 2 to the settings screen. It is not obvious at all. -
But there are just as many if not more cases of non-Turbo engines and parts also failing at less than 100K miles. These are mechanical devices and things will break sometimes. But the turbos don't appear to be any more prone to failure than other parts.

Difficulty finding 2016 Edge Titanium Turbo AWD with 302B?
akirby replied to mjonis's topic in Buying, Leasing & Ordering
Yes, of course. Ford is just stupid and lazy. Shame on Ford. -
Because it's not the quality of the fluid. Ford should have included a drain plug and called for regular fluid changes.

Difficulty finding 2016 Edge Titanium Turbo AWD with 302B?
akirby replied to mjonis's topic in Buying, Leasing & Ordering
If it was that easy other mfrs would be doing it. What Ford can do is have fewer combinations available. But honestly if you don't like what is in stock then just order what you want. -
And if you're already in the turn lane you don't have to leave it on.

Difficulty finding 2016 Edge Titanium Turbo AWD with 302B?
akirby replied to mjonis's topic in Buying, Leasing & Ordering
I don't think you understand. Look up automotive state franchise laws. Ford can't tell dealers what to buy or stock. -
Small stepladder. And I'm 5'11".

Garage door opener not installed?

It appears that it only comes with the 201A and the Utility Package which also includes the hands free liftgate. Is that what you have? -
Difficulty finding 2016 Edge Titanium Turbo AWD with 302B?
akirby replied to mjonis's topic in Buying, Leasing & Ordering
Ford doesn't control what options dealers purchase - they're independent businesses. They stock whatever they think they can sell. It's possible they are ordering some of the models you mentioned but they're selling as fast as they hit the lot. As for rebates - if they're selling all they can make without them why would they add rebates? -
Just make sure you get the DORA (dealer order receipt acknowledgement) and double check the configuration and options. Also make sure you have the final price including taxes, trade-ins and dealer fees so there are no surprises later. Find out the priority - 10 is the best. 19 is the worst but it really depends on the priority of the other sold orders. If you're 19 but there are no other sold orders pending then yours will get built right away. Likewise if there are 10 orders with priority 10 it goes by order date.

Your husband is stuck in the 80s. Today's turbocharged engines have nothing in common with the older ones and they don't have any of the same problems. They're designed with turbos from the beginning with new materials that hold up for 150K+ miles. There is no reason to avoid a modern turbocharged engine based on reliability concerns.

What brand? This has been reported with Dorman and other aftermarket brands.

No idea. I don't think you'll do any additional damage by continuing to drive it for a few months but then again I'm no expert.

Then I would say that most certainly points to a CV joint or half-shaft.

Is the SYNC in 2015 Edge Still Problematic
akirby replied to lilcharmer214's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
Sync or MyFordtouch? Based on your last statement I think you should get sync 3. But it would be easy enough for you to test out on a 2015 with MFT to see how it works for you. -
No you get to choose at time of delivery. How would you know now what the incentives will be in 6 or 8 weeks? If you can lock in your private incentive now you don't have to worry about it. If not you might want to wait until 2 or 3 weeks before it should arrive and request a new brochure and see if you can get a new offer.

It will automatically apply a tiny bit of engine braking for small hills if you tap the brake. Once you're in S and using the paddles it won't allow you to shift to a gear that's too low for your speed. Use the brakes to slow down to the desired speed and downshift to the lowest gear possible to maintain that speed. Depending on the grade you might need to assist with the brakes periodically - that's ok as long as you aren't riding the brakes all the time. Use them for 10 seconds or so then get off them for a minute or so and they should be fine.

Use the website to request an Edge brochure by mail. The personal offer is usually $750. I got my personal offer in about 7 days by email and 2-3 weeks later by regular mail. You don't need the physical brochure coupon - it should show up in Vincent under your name within 7 - 14 days or so.

No you'd need to place your ORDER for a factory vehicle by 8/5 so it can be scheduled and built before 10/21.
