  1. Whats the concensus on NOT having this done? I really feel like something will end up worse, either there will be metal debris left behind or someone wont be careful doing the procedure and ill wind up worse off in the long run. Any thoughts on long term reliability if its just left alone?
  2. Still have them, not hard to install at all, I unfortunately dont have any pictures of them in the 2008, just never thought to take pictures then. PM me if you have any other questions. I also have the same set that was used in my 2008 that are still perfect that ill sell for $25. Maybe you can use them in your fogs?
  3. WOW what a beaut! Yeah its tough to make that jump from High performance, high horspower, razor handling car to bloated sloshy feeling SUV. I left a MB CLK55 AMG and still remember the note of the Eisemann exhaust. Good luck with the new car.
  4. Do it! Hit something on the road. You don't have to say what road.. your driveway is like a road... it's a road from your street to your garage, right? And you did hit something while you were driving so you're not lying there either. What can they say? You got a 50/50 shot.
  5. I love my Platinum White Sport, but if I couldnt get White, this red and or the blue would have me tossing and turning for weeks on end trying to choose. Beautiful Sport!
  6. Lucky to find them new and unscratched for $500 a piece.
  7. There's a free trial for the travel link stuff and sirius radio right now.
  8. typically you get the first 6 months of Sirius free. For resale alone I think 101A is a good choice. The backup feature is nice to have no matter the vehicle, you can save that much in avoiding one rear end collision with a fixed object that you dont see. The keyless entry is nice, especially if you dont want to carry keys with you, you can lock them in your vehicle and lock it with the code. Even if someone were to break in through a window... without first entering the code, you wont start the engine. Automatic headlamps are a nice feature that you get used to quick, and if you live in a wipers on lights on state you could save yourself a traffic ticket as they automatically go on with the wipers.
  9. After about 15k my AWD Sports fuel economy continues to steadily creep up. In mixed city highway driving I'm regularly seeing mid 21s. I'm using synthetic oil, and a drop in K&N filter
  10. I'll pay postage and envelope cost, even throw in my personal PBA card for a set edge letters
  11. I polish my windshield regularly with my Griots garage orbital and duragloss nu glass. Comes court great prior to sealing with rainX
  12. DDM's 35w and 55w kits going strong 2 years later, no problems
  13. 2 years....WOW... How fast they passed! Love the styling, love the ride, and after 16.5K miles my mileage continues to improve. I would still choose a Sport over any of the choices out there in this class, and it still seems to be a rare occurrence to see another driving next to you on the road.
  14. Drop the info here. I may be exploring this next summer once i get back to regular work and have some extra cash to play with. Im still trying to pay for the generator I had to buy for the storm.
  15. Great. Now...Will they print off and give me a service history?
  16. I think this is one for the insiders and experts. Is there anyway that my Ford dealer can print a record of all my service records for me? I can swear that I brought my vehicle in for service for an item and now I cant the service receipt. I know the date, I keep complete records, i think i just lost it. So my question again, can my dealer print me off a master service history for my vehicle? ...and if they can, Will they give it to me? is there an online resource that I could get this information myself by using my VIN?
  17. What a great video and story. You made my night with that.
  18. ^I think Honda is looking for you for their next commercial. My sisters in PR and she said "This guy needs to send an email and pictures to Honda, they'll probably "give" him a new car and Bike for the rights to his story".
  19. http://www.procharger.com/2011_v6_mustang.shtml My buddies speed shop is a reseller/installer for ProCharger. When we saw this we inquired with the engineers at ProCharger. After a lot, I mean months of emails, phone calls, it seems that the kit could be retrofitted for the Edge, BUT, the problem lies with the transmission and the front substructure. Seems that the extra power of the ecoboost was too much for the structure of the Edge, so the 475HP of a supercharged engine would just do the damage that much quicker. It can be done, stronger parts can be built, custom parts can be built, but how much are you ultimately going to spend to go fast in a 5600lb SUV? Might as well get a Porsche Cayenne.
  20. The posts line up if that's what you're interested in. Actually nothing seems to have changed seat-wise and otherwise for that matter beyond the cosmetic change to the dash and door panels inside the Edge, from 2007-2013. The seats are all the same, so are the seat mounts, door controls, etc... Anyway, For me to actually stick them into the holes for a photo, I would have to begin to install them since their power leads and audio/video cables run out of the post bottoms. That means unclipping the hard seatback to access the underside of the foam and pull the wiring through. If you need anything specific, send me a PM. Ill give you my number and we can talk.
  21. I responded to a wreck on the highway about two years ago when a kid in his lowered (cut springs) car got loose on the road sending his car into a spin and then several rolls. Unbelted front passenger killed the driver as he was flying about the front of the cabin. After several weeks of accident reconstruction, and eye witness statements including the rear seat survivor they figured out why the car got unstable and crashed ( it was a 1 car accident). Don't cut your springs, you're creating a 4500lb death missile. Your vehicle was engineered to high technical standards by a lot of guys smarter than me and you, don't kid yourself thinking you know more than them. Be safe, save up for lowered springs and do it right.
  22. 2 years, and so far so good with no stone chips. I did however make front splash guards pretty soon after getting the truck. It makes a huge difference keeping the crap off the front of the doors and the rockers.
  23. Hurricane Sandy special!!! Need to sell these quick to pay for the generator I had to buy to power us through the storm. OEM Invision headrest DVD Headrests. Bought these is 2009 for our 2008 Limited. We ended up trading in the Limited for an 11 Sport and I never tried installing them. I know they'll fit 2007-2010, dealer said theyll probably fit the new truck as well but we never got to it. They took them out for me at trade in, and labled everything for reinstallation. $400/ OBO http://i227.photobucket.com/albums/dd148/njmr2fan/IMG_20121101_104746.jpg http://i227.photobucket.com/albums/dd148/njmr2fan/IMG_20121101_104726.jpg
