Edge Sport has arrived !
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to Etienne Bégin's topic in Buying, Leasing & Ordering
Congrats, it's a beaut! To many happy, dry days ahead -
I'd definitely check the CV joint, but clunks can be control arms or stabilizer end links etc also. My concern is that since you have AWD, you have a PTU. You should check the PTU for any signs of leaks or overflow. Eliminate the possibility that what you are experiencing is an early warning sign. It is probably time to at least R&R the fluid anyway.

Great idea! Come to DC, people "test" their brakes around here all the time. You'd hardly be noticed.

Welcome to the community, 6772owner, congrats on the beautiful '13 Limited! Nice to see a Fusion is "at home" also! In my mind, NAV is no big deal because aftermarket products are generally better anyway, you can have them running separate from all the functions integrated into the OEM system But yeah, builtin WOULD be a cleaner look! What LEDs did you go with for your mods? Keeping the kids happily occupied is a major PLUS

I'd have to point to the usual culprits first: needs alignment needs roadforce balancing check wheels & tires for out-of-round and uneven wear Because you notice it at a particular speed, there is a remote possibility of a wheel bearing or an axle/CV joint maybe starting to stick on one side causing that pull. AWD or FWD?

I know Torrie has base tunes for the '07 as I had inquired myself some time ago. If you choose to dyno/datalog, he can further refine them as requested.

Front sway bar bushings and stab links?
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to shumax's topic in Brakes, Chassis & Suspension
Here is a pic of the swaybar bushings on EBay: Looks like they come together/snap apart like any other stabilizer bar bushing. You do need to clean & use the correct grease when putting the new ones on. -
Now this is what we call "Catching Fire"! Moog is out there watching social media, I guess! evh has some great name recommendations, look forward to what MG & CB come up with

What year Edge are you looking for? SCT should have it in their X4 device, maybe even the X3. Unleashed Tuning (Torrie) is who I would recommend. Email him directly for details, along with a list of what you are looking to get out of the tune. info@unleashedtuning.com

Had to join forum to share this story...
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to tbird2000's topic in 2011 Edge & MKX
I can tell you first-hand that even at the best rated dealerships, communications can be spotty. Despite explicit requests to be kept informed, you may not get the followup you are looking for. If your frustration mounts, try working your way through the dealership hierarchy (service manager, dealership manager, dealership owner); might get lucky! On the lighter side, they haven't imprisoned your Edge for a leaking fuel tank. These days, it seems when a vehicle goes in for service, parts are easier to come by on EBay than at your servicing dealership! -
Another Issue with my '15 Edge
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to built2prfctn's topic in Buying, Leasing & Ordering
Probably would need to put up a windscreen behind the rear seating to break up the buffeting. -
Driver floor is SOAKING WET

If the build date for your Edge is April 22nd, 2015, looks like you just made it into the FSA range, cv27!- 480 replies

2011 Edge limited Driver door ajar issue
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to Racerb0y's topic in Recalls, TSBs & Warranty
Check out the HOW TO in this thread: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/14262-how-to-replace-door-latch-module-for-door-ajar-warning/ Part numbers for the door latch are easy to look up on LevittownFordSuperCenter and EBay websites. Driver FRONT: BT4Z-7821813-APassenger FRONT: 8T4Z-7821812-A Driver REAR: 8T4Z-7826413-APassenger REAR: 8T4Z-7826412-A -
I'm betting there's just a teensy bit of a chance the OEM part far outstrips this aftermarket replacement.

Will 2015 18" OEM Explorer wheels fit on 2011 Sport?
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to bboytails's topic in Wheels & Tires
Any idea if a spacer would resolve the rubbing issue, omar302? -
Probably just needs a clamp on it, a spring clamp like they put on at the factory is best, keeps pressure on the hose even and keeps it from splitting.

Front sway bar bushings and stab links?
WWWPerfA_ZN0W replied to shumax's topic in Brakes, Chassis & Suspension
Do the control arm bushings look OK? That's another possible culprit. I think there is a built in spot on the stabilizer link studs that you can use to hold them steady with a hex bit (the "holding feature" as the factory service manual calls it) while you are loosening the nuts. But IIRC, this may not work due to age/rust and you may have to cut off the links with a Sawzall or something similar. The stabilizer bar bushings may be replaceable, but don't see any instructions in the manual pertaining to them. -
Welcome, Nic! So which fuse did you replace? Is the car turning over but not starting, or not turning over at all? Maybe you didn't reconnect all the cables when you were replacing the light bulb?
-
No way it's E90! That would have a triple digit octane rating easy (100% = 113 octane). Pic?
