  1. Thank you, and wish you all a happy & prosperous New Year as well
  2. Dust storms? Drive with windows down often? Leaks at weatherstripping? Try changing filter more often? Do you have the screen or actual filter OEM?
  3. The AC isn't on Recirculate is it? Bringing in outside air should eliminate/minimize the problem.
  4. What product did you use, and how hard was it to install?
  5. Hope they made sure the new PTU is filled correctly. Has been an issue with other Ford models so far, overwhelming the lubricant and causing PTU to overheat. What warranty did they give you (2 years?)?
  6. That whole shipping thing is just plumb crazy!!! Lengthwise the 42mms should fit, not sure about the width, will have to check on that.
  7. Steps 1-3 in my previous post. You may have done this already, but try it anyway.
  8. Welcome to Blue Oval country, and congrats on your '14 SEL! EB or V6? Pix please Do you have the window sticker handy? If not, you can check what equipment rolled out of the factory here: http://www.etis.ford.com seems like there are 3 package levels: 200A, 204A, and 205A. If you have the 204/205, you have the rear view camera builtin. 2014 Ford Edge packages.PDF
  9. With any luck, it should only need the initialization sequence as below. Power Liftgate Initialization NOTE: If the power liftgate system is turned OFF in the message center, the system cannot be activated with any switches or with the liftgate handle. The system will need to be turned ON for any power operation to occur. NOTE: The power liftgate may not operate under the following conditions: A low voltage or dead battery A disconnected battery If any of these conditions has occurred, the power liftgate must be reset. Manually close and fully latch the power liftgate. NOTE: If the power liftgate does not open during this step, refer to the symptom chart to diagnose the power liftgate for no operation. Power open the power liftgate by using the key fob or control switch.Once the power liftgate is fully open, close the power liftgate by using the key fob or control switch.
  10. Lucky for you, Dan has HID kits for the Edge now Two choices for color, 5K & 6K, not sure tho which one would match better.
  11. Welcome, and congrats on the '14 Sport! The Edge handles pretty well even as a FWD, so should be fine in FL. I had considered the Vue also, being a Saturn fanboy from day 1 But GM's spotty service/parts support killed that idea. Enjoy the ride, be sure to post pix!
  12. Aiming for bigger game now, Cellbine? Let's see the trophies! Where did you get the LEDs from? EBay? Is transit time from China (if that is the origin) any better now that you are in Korea? Looking forward to your LED adventures
  13. Well, don't forget to post the pics of the mods to the Impala here as well
  14. Must be the tight tolerances, hope the new shaft will fix! Does the seal's mating surface have any give, or is it very firm?
  15. Tried to get a vehicle under the "Date Night" promotion, told they were out. This was back in ... early November, I think.
  16. Do you perchance have the EBay link to the image/listing? The closest thing I have is this: http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/ODI2WDU3NQ==/z/DnMAAOSwxH1ULKcO/$_57.JPG and this: http://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/ODI2WDU3NQ==/z/SP4AAOSw6EhUNAnt/$_57.JPG
  17. Welcome to the community, pjazzz, and congrats on your '13 Sport! Got pics? Happy Holidays to you as well
  18. Welcome, Feedguy, and GL with your newfound Edge! Do put up an intro thread for yourself, would love to see pix too!
  19. If you get someone knowledgeable at a dealership, you could have the newer hardware installed and have Sync3 available, so the rumors say. http://www.shoforum.com/showthread.php?t=128950
  20. Good luck, Joe! Hope all is done under warranty, tho sorry to see you without your MKX for some time!
  21. Welcome aboard, Libra1224, and congrats on pairing up with the '14 SEL! Please do share some pix with us when you can
  22. Welcome to the forum, drubush! There is a board dedicated to discussion of the 2015+, so enjoy! http://www.fordedgeforum.com/forum/79-2015-edge-mkx/
  23. Sorry that you have had to go through this! I personally don't think you should have had to pay for battery to be tested, but not sure what Ford's policy is on this. If they couldn't find a parasitic draw, and the battery is testing OK, they should have at least tested the BCM. A faulty BCM (Body Control Module) can cause a dead battery at times. Did they pull codes to see if any had been set? Haven't really seen alternator or starter involvement so early in the vehicle's life, but that's possible. Also possible is bad cabling from the battery, bad ground(s), corrosion on battery terminals, etc. Since your Edge is still under warranty, the diagnostics should be/have been covered. If you can, go to another dealer, or if that's not possible, if there is a Lincoln dealership nearby, try getting it serviced there. Try getting Ford Engineering involved (thru dealer) for a resolution. Also have the option to connect with FordService (Tricia) on here to escalate the issue directly to Ford.
