Audio not turning on when vehicle is startedomar302 replied to crystal_hinze's topic in 2013 Edge & MKX It is not normal. What year & model is your Edge? Does it have MyFord Touch? If yes, is it updated? Tried to reset it?

13N02 - Extended Warranty Coverage on Brake Boosteromar302 replied to omar302's topic in Recalls, TSBs & Warranty Yes. I know I have a problem, but since it still passes Ford's test procedure, I cannot get it fixed now. Have to wait till it gets worse to fail the test.

ambient lighting problem after sync updateomar302 replied to flyers27's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC A suggestion to anyone facing this problem, try a master reset and/or a battery cable disconnect for 10-15 minutes to reset all the electronics.

13N02 - Extended Warranty Coverage on Brake Boosteromar302 replied to omar302's topic in Recalls, TSBs & Warranty The problem is that Ford's way of testing the booster for vacuum leaks is to wait 10 minutes after shutting the engine off, if vacuum is present, booster is fine. I remember in most cars, vacuum would remain for at lease a day. With my MKX, currently barely getting an hour, maybe less, I don't usually notice it because I remote start it 90% of the time, but it is slowly failing. Procedure is listed in page 15 (point 7) in attached document which I got from this forum. Ford Edge Brakes Info.pdf

Overhead console removalomar302 replied to hasan_dubais's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim If you mean the sunglass holder with map lights, just pull it from the back side (towards the rear of the car). It will come out, there are no screws holding it.

call me fickle - why "they" winomar302 replied to Tacyon's topic in Competing Crossovers & Vehicles Well, Ford is now willing to take the risk, the 2015 Mustang will show each tire's pressure.

From the owners manual, the following messages appear on the instrument cluster: CHANGE ENGINE OIL SOONDisplayed when the engine oil life remaining is 10% or less. OIL CHANGE REQUIREDDisplayed when the oil life left reaches 0%.

call me fickle - why "they" winomar302 replied to Tacyon's topic in Competing Crossovers & Vehicles Checking the Grand Cherokee's website, it doesn't offer cooled seats. It has available "ventilated seats". Simple fans. Ford/Lincoln has "cooled" seats that actually cool the sear, not just blow air. Taycon: In 2013, Ford changed to a hard button for the 4-way flasher. Was watching the how-to video for the lockpick installation and noticed how simple it was to remove the panel and started wondering if a panel from a 2013 (with the hard button) would work in a 2011.

call me fickle - why "they" winomar302 replied to Tacyon's topic in Competing Crossovers & Vehicles The MKX has only a few features more than an Edge. The aforementioned cooled seats, adaptive HID headlights, THX and the leather covered dash. The main advantage of the MKX over the Edge is you can get it loaded with the 3.7L Engine. As for MFT, the reason for its shortcomings, in my opinion, are from Ford's management. To be honest, you would expect that Ford would have its people use the vehicles the final design is sold to consumer, but it just does show. I mean who ever approved the capacitive 4-way flasher button?? Also, how come is the MFT/MLT screen a resistive display, requiring pressure to register inputs while the buttons below it are capacitive working while barely touching them!! I consider myself up to date on tech and sometimes find using those capacitive buttons awkward, especially the volume/fan sliders (supposedly Lincoln upgrades!). Back to topic, I rented a 2011 GC back in 2011 (when the latest generation first debuted) before I got the MKX, and honestly, it did NOT feel premium at all! It was ok, but not great (though it was just above the basic model) & the v6 engine with the old 5 speed was slow. Since I really don't go off-road, there was no reason to choose a GC over an Edge/MKX.

What phone do you have, was it updated recently? If its an Android & you usually keep Bluetooth on all the time, like I do, usually turning Bluetooth off then on cures it. If that doesn't work, try re-pairing the phone. Make sure to un-pair Sync from your phone, and delete your phone from Sync. Then Pair them. If that still doesn't fix it, try restarting Sync (pull fuse/connector, reboot app or disconnect battery), finally you can Master Reset Sync.

Factory size is 245/60R18, with a 60 not 65 aspect ratio. That's for the 18" wheel size.

Remember, when a part is replaced, you get a 12month/12k miles warranty on it. So even if the bumper to bumper warranty expired you might still be covered for the latch.

Bahrain & other GCC countries are considered severe. Mainly because of the hotter weather & severe city cycle driver. Too much stop & go and it is normal to drive high speeds for short distances. A typical 10-15 minute commute can easily envolve many 0-62 mph accelerations. Ford's oil life monitor can get you 10k miles (16k km), so the recommended severe interval is recommended at half the distance, 5k miles (8k km). Hot weather means it is quite normal to see 120 ℉ in the summer, and our very cold winter is not less than 50℉.

More Money!!! That why! They are STEALERSHIPS!!! The Middle East owners manual specifically mentions 8k.

Ford PremiumCare ESP and Premium Maintenance Plansomar302 replied to wlepse's topic in Recalls, TSBs & Warranty If I only cared for the factory warranty, I would only do the bare minimum as the manual, which I usually do.

Ford PremiumCare ESP and Premium Maintenance Plansomar302 replied to wlepse's topic in Recalls, TSBs & Warranty Yes, like what ls973800 said, he has an extended warranty with additional terms & conditions. Unfortunately, here in the Arabian Gulf Countries (GCC) labor is cheap, but dealers are even bigger stealers than those in the USA having to do so called "Full Service" maintenance on new vehicles (usually oil+filter+inspections) at higher rates (100+ USD) and at more frequent intervals!

Question for Todd, Our Ford Service Rep.omar302 replied to Larry's topic in Brakes, Chassis & Suspension The reason for one replacement, I believe, is that there was a certain batch (rather a large one) that had this defect. I would expect the replacements to be of newer batches such as those installed in newer Edges/MKX not included in the extended warranty. In any case, my understanding, if the original warranty is still valid, it would be replaced under it & you still have the extended warranty. Also, when the new part is installed, it still has a standard (12 month/12K mile) if the original B2B warranty is expired.

You need to drive for a while before it goes.a few miles. From the owners manual of a 2011: After inflating your tires to the manufacturers recommended inflation pressure as shown on the Tire Label (located on the edge of drivers door or the B-Pillar), the vehicle must be driven for at least two minutes over 20mph (32km/h) before the light will turn off.
