  1. Just spent 3.5 hours driving through a winter storm on the Blizzaks and never had an issue great traction and solid grip. Passed a bunch of folks that should of stayed home.
  2. Do not forget that the fuel manufacturers have lowered the quality of fuel for the winter by adding more butane which causes lower mileage results. I have noticed an added bump by using a higher octane. Were you driving on 87 oct fuel? Also use a Top Tier fuel as I have experienced better mileage when using Top Tier rather than the cheapest stuff I can find.
  3. Not to make fun of your predicament but how in the world did you do that? Gentle but steady force and movement may be the only way. Hope you get it out. Got a picture of your predicament?
  4. How many miles? Air filter changed? Plugs good. PCV good?
  5. Everything so far mentioned on the PTU is a swap. Thinking that if the issue is bad enough to have an issue that is noticeable then the PTU is most likely eating it's self alive inside.
  6. Temperature control module. May have to get a manual for this or go through ALL DATA or your Ford Dealer parts department is usually pretty helpful in providing the print out of the part and location.
  7. OK folks off topic but this is my experiment into a theme I call "Wild Card Video" hope it provides some entertainment.
  8. My cheap Harbor Freight work light barely used I might add bit the dust. It stopped working so I bought this 60 LED light with hopes that it will work better and provide me with more light to work on the Edge and also make enough light to allow for better videos. We will soon see as I have plans to use it yet today to go out and do a bit of battery maintenance work on Blueberry. Blueberry has a battery cold and has boggers on her terminals so I thought I may as well clean her up a bit.
  9. Over hill and through the woods to Grandmothers house we go. The new struts on their way to carry the sleigh and make the ride a great day!!! Enjoy Thanksgiving with family and friends today!!!!
  10. Having performed spark plugs replacement I found you could easily pinch a hose or wire in between the intake and lower base. You may want to check to make sure nothing has been caught in between and pinched down when you reinstalled the upper intake plenum.
  11. I will have to check this out further on the blend doors. I get a lot of air in the door vent that blows on the drivers side window and the defrost works well also. I just do not feel much at my floor vent on the drivers side so I am assuming I will have to check the floor vent blend door actuator to so see if it is moving and working properly. I have not checked the passenger side floor vent yet to see if it is blowing air also.
  12. I can see this is going to take some time and of course research and testing.
  13. Let me guess it is located in the depths of the dash and I have to disassemble the whole darn thing right?
  14. Well look at it this way you got all new stuff and if they knew what they were doing you would of just ended up with new struts. Your noise was classic strut bearing mount failure. Not sure if the transmission torque mount would of been bad but hey you got a new one also. You should be good for at least another 100K miles!!
  15. With the cold weather I am curious as to what is happening with the heat in Lullubelle. Having some minor difficulty finding the right setting on the heat. It seems that when I have the defrost on it gets rather warm then when I turn it down it does not quite shut down the defrost to change to the floor only. After a little playing it eventually changes but still not much heat at the feet (see a poet) anyway I will work with it some more but the controls for better lack of terms feel sluggish.
  16. A little fun. MOMOSHA asked me to clean off the snow on Blueberry. This is how it did it.
  17. Headlights are not HID on Lullubelle. Blueberry has the HID lights. Lullubelle is the low end Limited model. She didn't get the good stuff.
  18. And now the road test. Giving them a quick run after or actually during the snow storm in Iowa.
  19. Installing the blizzaks Keep in mind they are a directional tire.
  20. I have used Blizzaks for about 10 years. I like them and they always have provided the grip i need to stop and turn with the added ability to help a FWD drive get around with out fearing loss of traction. Not selling them just stating they work for me and I like how they handle and get me around driving 5k miles a month you want something good.
  21. Snow tires on and snow storm coming. Bet ya can not guess what I will be doing later!? By the way what company would use a brass drive gear to power the transmission in their snow blowers? MTD!!! What idiots.!!! A BRASS GEAR!!! really? This was designed to fail and cause people to spend money on parts. There is no other explanation. The gear oil poured out GOLD in color due to the gear particles. For a moment thought I was rich until I looked at the gear. Video to come.
  22. Maybe even a driving video in the snow (Yeah an action movie!)
  23. Speaking of diapers I need one because I am afraid I will pee myself I am laughing so hard.
