  1. I've had excellent luck with Bridgestone Ecopia Dueler H/L 422's. (MKX with AWD).
  2. If your car is only 5 months old, haven't you taken it in for warranty service?
  3. VID-20190826-WA0000(3).mp4
  4. If you want to over power lift hate arms, buy ones that are slightly longer than OEM.
  5. I wrote a little about my experiences in replacing nozzles in this thread: As far as headlight restoration, I use two products that have kept my 2009 MKX headlights crystal clear. Do this annually in the fall. To clean and polish the plastic lens, I use Meguiar's Plastx Cleaner and Polish. Rub thoroughly into the plastic and wipe off with clean microfiber towel. After the lens is clean and clear, I treat the plastic against UV with Meguiar's Keep Clear Headlight Coating. It comes in a pressurized spray can and requires two coats. Just follow directions. I'm certain there are other products that will work just as well, but I can verify these two will keep your headlights clear. If your headlights are really bad, consider using Meguiar's headlight restoration kit first.
  6. My 09 does this every once in a while. Hyperflash. On time I get it, another I don't. Think its in the SJB. (Everytime I get hyperflash, I can correct it by turning off the turn signal and then turn it back on again. Happens once every 3-4 months or so)
  7. In looking at the 2009 service manual (I think we can assume that the 07 is the same), the power is supplied through fune #10 (in the smart junction box) and then directly to both puddle lamps. Assuming that you have not been messing with the wiring, it's either the fuse (try a different one known to be good) or the smart junction box (try a reset by disconnecting the battery for a few minutes).
  8. One guess would be that the phone is instangating the call when connecting. Still guessing, but I would try to update the phones operating system and see if the latest fixes the problem. Another possibility is to update SYNC.
  9. I bought the ones with the Lincoln logo. In a word, crap. Swapped them out for a set of regular high-intensity LEDs. (Too dim, and these were the ones before the adjustable positioning ones so the logo was never lined up with the side of the car.) Also, I'd rethink going with blue. The human eye focuses blue differently than all other colors and has fewer blue receptors. The LEDs, no matter how bright they start off will appear dim or weak. (Don't over pay as you may not like the effect.)

  11. It's my understanding that the front drive is full time (mechanically) and there is a controller at the rear that determines when the back axle is connected or not. This would require a total rework of the the transaxle, PTU and read end to make it work. And, you wouldnt really gain anything, imo. The car was designed and balanced for front wheel drive.
  12. Who wee. You live east of the steel mills? lol About how many miles on the filter? (Mostly highway or city?)
  13. Out of curiosity, about how many miles you have on the car? Just curious as to how long it can go until failure.
  14. The date is set through the GPS signal. To reset, press the hard MeNU button, then the soft CLOCK, then ("Restore Defaults") soft RESET. This will fource a reset to the current GPS settings.
  15. I wonder if the relay would also need changing? Haven't checked, but may be wise to check the rating as 2 horns draw twice as much and Ford may have put in a lower-rated relay.
  16. First of all, it's NOT a panic alarm. It's a parking lot car locator. ? I thought you were supposed to hit the unlock button to disable the alarm. As its 1:30 in the morning around here, I believe I'll wait until tomorrow to test this.
  17. Going on memory from earlier models, on vehicles with automatic transmissions, there is a gear selector switch on the left side. I would assume that this is working as the camera is working properly. The signal feeds the PCM which triggers the backup light relay in the power fuse panel. As power runs from the relay directly to the reverse lights, I would center in on this relay sticking on.
  18. If you already haven't found the problem, Does the AM band also contain static? If so it would most likely be the AM/FM antenna or mount. Remove the antenna by unscrewing it and check for corrosion in the connector. (The AM/FM antenna is the one at the front, top just in back of the windshield.) I would also pull down the overhead consul and look for any corrosion from a leak.
  19. Sounds like a software issue. I would try a full vehicle reset. Disconnect the battety negative cable for 10 minutes.
  20. I know that on some Ford vehicles you can park the wipers in the up position, called the maintenance position, by going into accessory position, then off, then pulling the stalk down for a couple of seconds. Its purpose is to facilitate changing blades. Kind of sounds like your car is doing this by accident. If so, I'd suspect the wiper stalk (several here have had problems with there's, for others reasons.)
  21. I found that switching to Phillip's X-tremeVision bulbs made a big difference over the OEM halogens. Example: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01C5QY7DW/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_JD7qDbTAZNFXR
  22. Did you try doing a MFT reboot by pulling the fuse?
  23. What's the problem? Don't you like your Edge to sound like a 1950 Volkswagon? lol Dealers have the procedure for replacing now. But Ford refuses to warranty a dual horn setup. Go figure.
