  1. Beats me. My memory's not as sharp as it used to be. .. ....... My memory's not as sharp as it used to be. ..

  3. I think these are the lights he mentioned installing: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004IYL1AC/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_Yp7eFbF4B28YG
  4. I hadn't been following Ford, under $7 is an eyeopener (I'm holding Amazon and Square). But, there's a lot of reasons for the price. (I wouldnt buy it even at $4!) If it scares you now, wait until after the election, lol. (Market is way over bought).
  5. First, if your wipers automatically turn on when raindrops come in contact with the windshield then you have a sensor. Spray some water on the windshield. You can also check by looking from the outside – behind the rear view mirror. If you see a strip of lens or film that faces the outside that is adjoining your IR light sensor. It shoots out an IR beam, hits water droplets and the light refracts in different directions.
  6. Ahh, now I see. (Was seeing a pop-up or the like). Well, I dont see really see anyplace in the cabin where you could install a battery (personally I would be concerned over hydrogen gas accumulating). And the engine compartment is a no-go. I'd still recommend the portable power source. Can charge through the rear power point while travelling and be kept next to the refer. Pulled out after the trip along with the refer for space. The first one has 240 watt/hour rating and accepts their solar panels to continue charging. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D29QNMJ/ref=cm_sw_r_other_apa_i_Y10eFbKF63MVC
  7. (From the 2009 service manual) Circuitry LH or RH front window control switch LH or RH rear window control switch RH front, LH or RH rear power window mo As the window cannot be opened by either switch, I'd suspect the motor or (more likely) a corroded motor or switch connector. There is no procedure to raise the window manually (force by hand).
  8. OK Lincoln aficionados, what year? (Hint: I was a standard OEM radio with tv & backup camera).
  9. Probably requires a different clockspring a d additional wiring. I'd imagine a different module is needed. (Little things like this get complicated quickly).
  10. Dont know if it matters, but fog lights are not supposed to be super bright. Their purpose is to provide illumination only at the edge of the road. In inclement weather, your vision is extremely limited. Under such conditions, its assumed that your travelling at a very low speed, 10-15 mph, and fog lamps are designed to light the edge of the road; not the driving lane. If you can find the side of the road, you know your not driving left of center. I think what your looking for are additional headlights. These would be illegal in all states.
  11. As your camper has a electric refrigerator, why not add the camping battery on the camper hitch?
  12. Hey. I'm old. Dont rush me, I'll get there ?
  13. Sure. They got by the Edsel didn't they? Let's see now, what else? There was the Ford Pinto, the Mercury Bobcat, the Ford Explorer (the early early years where it had a tendicy to roll over problem and terrible tires that killed 300 and injured ?) and the 8-million car ignition recall in the early 2000's due to stupid design. A weaker manufacturer would have stumbled, maybe even failed. And they got through the great recession without asking for a bailout. Henry Ford failed five times before he succeeded. His favorite saying was “Failure is simply the opportunity to begin again, this time more intelligently.”
  14. I dont think I'd attempt installing a 2nd battery. For your needs, I would consider camping power source. Can be plugged in to the Edge and recharged (or 120) and still be portable when at the campsite. Check out these recommendations: https://www.territorysupply.com/portable-power-camping
  15. Reminds me of an old song from Ray Charles. If I didn't have bad luck, I'd have no luck at all. Hopefully you got the bull by the .... well hope it's all fixed and smooth sailing.
  16. What year is your Edge and how many miles on it when the WP failed? (Great price on the replacment engine btw).
  17. Is your phone set to connect to the internet ONLY when using an network connsction? Try resetting Siri. Go to Settings and click on General. Scroll down and select Siri. On Siri screen, turn Siri off. Wait a few seconds then simply turn it back on. (I'd also restart your iphone as well).
  18. If you're still have this problem (or simular), usually a radio reset will fix it. In the 16 Edge, hold down the POWER and FORWARD SEAT buttons until the radio resets (10-15 seconds). (Think those were the two buttons to press).

You can prevent this by either locking the doggy door at night or installing an electric locking door that unlocks with a collar that your dog wears. As Arnold says, he'll be back (smells food).
  20. I've been putting off adding a rear backup camera on my 2009 Lincoln MKX, for some time. The only good reason is, it looks to be a lot of work and I'm lazy. And don't want to pay $150 for a plug-in programmer. Camera is easy enough, because of the rear end configuration, I'll be mounting the camera just above the license plate. stuffing wires from the rear end to the back of the head unit is only a couple of hours, have identified the contact pins on the ACU that takes the camera input and have a harness that plugs into the ACU. But the real problem is the software code to activate the camera. Talked to a certified tech at my local Ford garage to see if I could pay them to hook up their computer and switch on the camera and he said absolutely not. Ford doesn't allow it. Been playing with Foreskin and I think that it's located in the APIM module (as built) at 7D0-01-01-x*xx-xxxx-xxxx. where *=3 is for camera on, no PDC *=9 is for camera off with PDC *=b is for camera on with PDC. (I would be using "b" ) I guess I'm looking conformation on the modification of the APIM AND does the BCM need to be modified as well. Has anyone done this mod? Did you have any problems running the camera wiring?
  21. Actually that sounds like a leak around the antenna. Easy way to check. Pull the console down, (if I remember correctly you pull the back first) unplug the lights & switches and you'll see the bottom of the antenna. Have someone pour or hose water around the antenna base and watch from inside. May just need to tighten the screws that hold the antenna base to the car.
