  1. Please share with us your build date.
  2. How long have you owned your vehicle? Is this weekend the first time it has seen rain while you owned it?
  3. What I don't understand is if that is the location of the leak, then I should be seeing the same thing since I have no sealer there. Also, I see no signs of moisture getting back to that location. If water did get back there, I'd see water spots and the usual signs of water getting to an area and not being washed/dried. So maybe there is another failure that is allowing to get to that spot to begin with.
  4. Not a surprise given the write up Ford produced saying the dealer should create some makeshift application tool using brake line.
  5. I'm sure you could eventually buy the Edge Sport grill. Just like a collision shop could when someone damages their front end.
  6. So I'm guessing this seal. Funny thing is I don't have any leaking issues (knock on wood).
  7. Paint will be left....so will a ton of swirls after a while. Handwash is the way to go
  8. Any input on when the leaks start showing? After a hard rain? After a car wash? After a few hard rains and carwashes? Only takes one good rain?
  9. The promotional ad for the Edge should have water pouring out of it's doors.
  10. It'll probably work. But some trimming to the rear valance will be necessary.
  11. It seems the forums is the only place you'll find such talk of it given the amount on the road, the amount affected, and the amount of people who use forums. Someone should shoot a few emails off to auto industry blogs. Ford would LOVE that LOL. As for them telling them not to sell....no way in hell. If it isn't a safety issue, Ford nor the dealers care. They want that sale ASAP to boost their numbers. That is the shady thing about it all. Of course Ford will fix the issue on the line ASAP, but ones that may have the issue on the dealer lot won't have a hold.
  12. Can you post pics of where they applied the goo?
  13. Something has to be out of alignment. These vehicles are super quiet. When I put an aftermarket roof rack on, you really began to realize how quiet they are. All of a sudden I had a bunch of wind noise. Luckily the roof rack comes on and off within minutes so I only install when I need it.
  14. I can't imagine a seal would make it that loud. Unless you are missing ALL of the sealant they have put in the truck. One way to find out is drive another one at the dealer and see. Make sure it is spec'd similar like roof rails if you have roof rails. Have you installed anything to the vehicle that isn't standard?
  15. There are a lot that have been built even before then that never shipped. And some after that may have.
  16. Nope haven't heard back yet. I'll call tomorrow if I don't see an email by then.
  17. Well for your sake, I hope your Edge is like mine. Defect free from this leak.
  18. Where is the wind noise coming from? And the whistling?
  19. You should be able to adjust the steering wheel height/distance without moving the seat.
  20. I think there is a way for the dealer to get very detailed report regarding your vehicle from the day it was built to the day it arrived at the dealer. If any special repairs had to be made, it will be noted. I'd see if your dealer could get that information for you and show you (don't take his word). If your car is one of them sitting on the lot that got water in it from rain, then I'd tell the dealer thanks...but no thanks. I have set it a million times. I do not trust dealers. They will say anything to get you to drive it off the lot and play stupid if things come to light later on.
  21. Depends on when it is built. If it was built outside of the time frame indicated, you should be fine.
