  1. The pillar on each side of the windshield.
  2. FYI for those wanting to check under their seats. There are two release switches on the front part of the seat toward the carpet. Both push toward the driver's side and release the seat so you can easily get underneath. The one on the Driver's side moved easily. The one on the passenger side took a little more force. I did a quick check and didn't see any signs of moisture. I'll do a thorough check later.
  3. Sounds like everyone of them built up to the point of finding out there was an issue has the problem.
  4. What a bunch of dolts. They could have at least extracted the moisture and set some fans up to dry it before mold sets in.
  5. They will remain aggressive since it is a very limited option. Even if your try to buy them from Ford when available, you'll be shocked by the price. The 19" wheels on my Mustang were optional, but a lot of people went with the option. Even with a ton on the 3rd party market, ebay, etc.....Ford still wanted $600 for one years later.
  6. No negative reflection on sideswipe though. He was just trying to give everyone a heads up from what his dealer told him. I appreciate members willing to pass along this type of info no matter how valid. It is how we all become knowledgable about our vehicles and any issues we have. So when we go to our dealers, we are informed and can tell when our dealers aren't steering us in the right direction.
  7. Gas Tank and Steering issue really aren't a concern in 2015 models. But there is the issue with people finding puddles of water in their floors. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/17965-driver-floor-is-soaking-wet/ And we've yet to hear anything official from Ford. Just letting the customer's cars fill up.
  8. It is a logistical nightmare I'm sure. Especially when one of these unplanned holds pop up. And they probably have no clue at this point when it'll move to be shipped until everything around it is cleared to leave.

  10. Same here. The only thing different is the rear valance. Unless it has something to do with "Sport" mode. Or does the Titanium / SEL have that too?
  11. These motors are engineered to adjust the timing based on the octane. My Mustang does the same exact thing. Hence why the owners manual talks about increased performance with a higher octane. If the service guy is not aware of this, i wouldn't want him working on my motor. Owners Manual page 159:
  12. Agree. I'll trust Ford with telling us in the manual that Premium is OK vs. some service guy at a dealer pulling ideas out of his butt.
  13. LOL What? Does he have anything to back this up?
  14. I know one thing. If I ordered an Edge, it was built in March, and has been sitting in the lot since then with the possibility of the leak issue, I'd cancel. No way would I risk it having swamped floors baking in the sun while they figure out which ones are messed up. I'd order a '16 once I know they rectified the leaking issue. Good piece of mind PLUS sync 3.
  15. Maybe it was built and then surrounded by other cars in the holding lot with the thoughts they'd all be shipped soon. The some sort of hold was put on the ones surrounding your car so it gets delayed behind the others. That is just some crazy wild guess. I bought mine from dealer stock. It was built and delivered in April a few days before I saw it on the lot.
  16. He hasn't returned and given his location I have a feeling he is tied to the plant. The 14 areas are probably possible areas that may have not sealed. So they are probably looking at affected cars and seeing where most, if not all, are leaking from before issuing an official TSB. But who knows.
  17. The more you read, the worse it makes it. Because you see it is widespread and there isn't a peep coming from Ford. Their focus is on the ones that haven't left the factory / holding lots. Because those are the ones that'll cost them the most if they don't get it fixed. The ones in the customer's hands are just repair whenevers.

    2015 Edge MPG

My sport has 1600 miles. I drive mostly city. Averaging 20mpg. I don't jump on it often (that is what the Mustang is for). 87 Octane
  19. I think it is just not available to the customer. Ford knows exactly where their cars are until they land at the Dealer lot. Much like UPS knows where their packages are. I think as a dealer I'd want this information available for me to keep my customers informed. Simple service to enter the customer's email address where they'd get automated emails telling them their vehicle is now in the holding, now on the truck to XYZ Dealer, arrived at dealer, etc.
  20. Soggy_Edge...welcome to the forum. I've been googling around with still no luck of an official TSB about the leaky edge. Please keep us updated on the results of your appointment with the dealer. What fix they did, if they mention a TSB, etc.
  21. Yes it is metal. But they include a black, thick, vinyl / sticker material to put over the metal. So there is no direct metal on paint contact. Just make sure the area within the door jam is clean and also the clip is clean prior to installation. I am VERY picky about my paint but I'm very satisfied with this rack. The rubber feet that make contact with the roof does not mar the paint (as long as the paint is clean and feet are clean prior to installation. I take this on and off as I need it. If I was leaving in installed full time, I would probably put a few strips of that clear paint shield stuff where the clips / rubber feet make contact with the paint. Just to be extra safe.
