Another big heavy rain last night. April 10 build and no sign of water.
-
2 to 3 months? How is that NOT a lemon? I'd be talking to my lawyer.
-
I keep a tarp with me in case I need to haul dirty stuff. My biggest problem right now is the dang groceries rolling all over. I have the cargo net, but that thing is a joke. Right now I string a bungee cord through the handles of the grocery bags and then to the side of the cargo area.
-
Same with me. Built April 10 and dry even after many hard rains.

From the sounds of it, it is not concentrated to one area. There are people saying they are finding "pools" of water on the driver and/or passenger side. And some have reported a touchless wash should be sufficient to show the symptoms. I'd run it through 2-3 times to double check. Can you take a pic of your seal as I did with my car. I'd like to see what is coming out of the factory now.

2015 Edge All Weather Floor Mats?
WingNut replied to Bossross's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
If they are not on WeatherTech's sit yet, then they are not available yet. I know I'll be ordering a set once they are available. -
And what is with this issue regarding backordered carpet? Are they still building them at the plant? If so, there is no backorder. Take the ones from factory inventory and send them to the people who have already paid money for their Edges. FORD screwed up, no the customer. Not the dealer. So put those customers first to fix the issue your stupid engineers couldn't quit figure out. If that means the assembly line stops after a while....so be it. That is how you learn about Cost of Poor Quality (CPQ). Just brushing off the customer while continuing to build and make more and more money so your bottom line looks good to shareholders is foolish. And whoever that engineer is that made this boo boo....should be fired.
-
Hopefully they can't resolve the issue and keeps you out of it for 30 days.......then lemon law the thing.

Sync 3 staring to be released now
WingNut replied to Jeff Maynard's topic in Audio, Backup, Navigation & SYNC
Yup I did it for almost 10 years with XM and Sirius. When your trial expires you'll be contacted to extend your service. Tell them it is too expensive until they drop it to a deal where you are paying ~$6/mth after all taxes/fees. This may be for 6 months or possible a year. Depends on which CSR you talk to and which day. It is a gamble. A few times they told me they couldn't extend my $72/yr option so I told them to disconnect which they did. I'd call a week later saying I am still interested for my old price, and they'd sign me up again. Just make sure you don't have auto-renew on. Tell them to take off auto-renew, or just mail you the bill. $75/yr to them is better than $0/yr -
Are bug deflector's made to keep bugs off the edge of the hood and windshield? Because with the front end of the Edge, bugs will still be all over the grill, bumper, etc.

Sunshade.....Anyone have one yet?
WingNut replied to WingNut's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
Anyone receive their sunshade yet? -
So at lunch I expirimented with the buttons. If you hold it down for a pretty exact time, it will go one channel up/down. But you have to be damn near dead on. I think I counted to 4 and it worked. Release too soon....it goes to the next preset. Release too late, it goes 2-3 channels up.
-
Wax: AquaWax, Optimum Car Wax, or a few other spray waxes for regular application. I may put something more durable on right before the winter. Sealant: Opti-Seal. To easy to use. Great protection. Wash: Optimum No Rinse (ONR) Tire Shine: Opti-Bond diluted 1:1 Interior: Aerospace 303 after wiping down with a damp cloth (usually damp with ONR from a wash).
-
I will try this even though I think I already did try. I know in my '11 Mustang, I tried this and it would go to the station 2 channels up or down. Not the next one..always two channels. Not sure why.
-
So the buttons on the steering wheel will allow you to browse through your presets. But what about just browsing up and down a few channels on Sirius? I listen to a lot of different types of music. So the presets don't cut it. So I'll have a preset for channel 25 on Sirius but like to then browse up through the next 3-4 channels to hear what is on. I can do this by hitting the seek or tune buttons on the headunit. But I can't do it from the steering wheel where it makes the most sense to do it from. Hell my old Cherokee allowed me to do this 10 years ago with some buttons that were behind the wheel. Am I missing something?

2015 Edge Sport Towing
WingNut replied to built2prfctn's topic in Cargo, Hauling, Roof Racks & Towing
Actually it was the etrailer site that showed one from Curt and in the QA section it said verified to fit Sport. I took that part # and emailed curt with no response. -
2015 Edge Sport Towing
WingNut replied to built2prfctn's topic in Cargo, Hauling, Roof Racks & Towing
Pretty sure there is a Curt hitch that will work with the sport. Look at their site, find the model #, and then find a local place that installs curt hitches. -
Another Issue with my '15 Edge
WingNut replied to built2prfctn's topic in Buying, Leasing & Ordering
I've always had this issue with every car. But usually if my windows are down, all 4 are down. But right now I just want to keep that new car smell inside. -
Sunshade.....Anyone have one yet?
WingNut replied to WingNut's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
I would be careful before buying a sunshade from AutoAnything. I was going to order the Intro-Tech Shade that rolls up. When I checked the part # they said was for the 2015 Edge, it was the same one as 2014. As we know with the redesign, the dimensions of the windshield has changed. I sent an email to Intro-Tech and they said that in their system they have a 2015 and a 2015 1/2 . I'm guessing the 1/2 model is our model. They said they didn't have a roller sunshade for the 15 yet. Now if you look at the site, the part # for the shade without sensor is FD-90-R...same part # as they use for the 2014 Edge. Hopefully it fits correctly....but I'd be weary at this point. I checked and for the Intro-Tech Roller Shade, and they are still showing FD-90 for the 2015 which, according to Intro-Tech, is incorrect. The email I received from Intro-Tech: -
Installed Factory/Thule roof rack on a vista BAMR
WingNut replied to scguru92's topic in Cargo, Hauling, Roof Racks & Towing
And to add, if the '15 Edge didn't come from the factory with the roof rails, there is currently no way to have them installed. It isn't like the earlier model years where you could pop out some trim, install the rails, and put in the new trim. Also, the factory did not offer a roof rail option for the '15 when you choose the panoramic roof option. -

WingNut replied to scguru92's topic in Cargo, Hauling, Roof Racks & Towing
You can use an aftermarket option like the Yakima Q-Towers. I have them on my '15 Edge Sport that doesn't have the factory side rails (Naked Roof). See my posts at the links below to see what it looks like installed. I also give measurements you can use to ensure you'll have clearance. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/18057-towing-luggage-rack-questions/?hl=yakima&do=findComment&comment=131712 http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/17572-first-impressions-of-new-edge/page-7?hl=yakima&do=findComment&comment=131563 -
Driver floor is SOAKING WET
WingNut replied to Blue_Edge15's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
Alex that really sucks. I feel your pain. I was 18 and bought a brand new 1997 Dodge Dakota. Special order. It was a lemon. It was frustrating to deal with given how new it was and how much I put down and was paying. Keep us posted and don't feel alone...there are a lot of people dealing with this right now.- 480 replies

- new Ford owner

For reference, this is where the seal should be.

Can either of you take pictures of the seal behind the hood hinge. I'd like to see what "fix" is coming out of the factory.
