  1. Looks Nice. I have a '15 Sport and really enjoy it. I've had it for just over a year without any major issues. 12k miles, I keep it clean inside/out, and it still smells new inside.
  2. http://www.fordservicecontent.com/Ford_Content/Catalog/owner_information/2015-Edge-Owners-Manual-version-1_om_EN-US_12_2014.pdf Page 67 Took me 20 seconds to do a search
  3. I use it once in a while. Nice feature. But it does have it bugs. Like yesterday I'm walking around the car with the fob in my pocket and it activates. Luckily I wasn't in the garage or that could have been ugly. And I've also had it start to close on me while loading stuff in.
  4. Rails will have to come from the factory. And only on the Non-Sport Models. Nothing aftermarket that I know of.
  5. If it is a loaner, someone who had it before you probably smoked in it or spilled something in it.
  6. And here is a picture from etrailers.com of the Yakima Q-Towers on an '15+ Edge with a Vista roof. Glad to see they are compatible.
  7. Don't agree to ANYTHING regarding compensation from Ford unless they will buy it back. At this point I'd contact a Lemon Law Lawyer because you qualify if they've had it that long. I'd have a hard time buying another Ford if Ford did that to me. 48 days without a fix I'd expect a buy back.
  8. The same exact thing happened to me when getting my Edge. This was just after they hit the lot so the sales guy did appologize saying he was used to the previous generations that did allow for adding on the factory rails after it left the factory. But yea, go with the Yakima Q-Towers. I use them and they are great. I went on yakima's site, it told me what I needed, I took the part numbers and bought everything on Amazon to save a few bucks. Was right around $300 for Q towers, clips, and the round bars.
  9. They should have stuck with what they had going in the past generation. A strip of trim covering up the holes to mount roof rails. Then it was an easy add on or take off. I ended up with Yakima Q-Towers since I didn't have rails on my 15 Sport. And I like them because when I'm not using them, they come off easy. And take about 2 minutes to re-install. Best of both worlds.
  10. I was thinking about doing something similar. Easy, cheap, and effective solution.
  11. I have a few scratches on my bumper from taking my bike in/out of the back. I looked at the Ford bumper cover and it won't help since I need something to protect the lip of the bumper. I read here some people using the Scion XB protector on their Edges that were the past generation. So has anyone tried the xB on a 2015+ model yet?
  12. When I try to build one on Ford's website, there is no roof rail option for the Sport. Also, the brochure does not show it as an option on the Sport model while the SE, SEL, and Titanium all show the option available. And with those models it clearly states not available with vista roof. Be careful what the dealer is telling you. If there are no roof rails on the vehicle you are purchasing, they can not be added. You'd have to go with a 3rd party clip-on setup like Thule, Yakima, etc. And you can get it without the vista roof......since I have one. Sounds like the dealer is not informed or trying to scam you in to buying something you don't want. Get a new dealer. If you are ordering the vehicle, make sure you see the option for
  13. I'd keep a very close eye on this issue. Not sure if water could make its way in to the headliner from the force of the car wash. If so, that could be your answer. But given the issue with the Vista Roof not closing it tells me you are on to something. The windshield is an easy fix. The vista roof is probably a more complex problem. So they are just taking the easy route right now hoping it solves the issue.
  14. Your issue sounds different from what we dealt with last summer.
  15. Do you have a vista roof? If the windshield is not sealed correctly, it can let water in.
  16. For 2015-2016 you can not add the roof rails once it leaves the factory. You'd have to go with a 3rd party option for a roof rack.
  17. I think anything that covers up their natural look will result in some sort of coating being on the surface of the mat. Which means they'll have some sort of slickness to them
  18. Same. All purpose cleaner and a scrub brush. After they get salt, sand, etc. on them plus a lot of use, you'll lose that brand new look. If you want, you can use some 303 Protectant spray on them to bring back some sheen...but be careful this could cause the matt to be slick.
  19. Yes this is normal. The USB doesn't seem to charge my phone at a very fast rate. Not even enough to keep up with the drain of using navigation on my phone. The 12V may stay on for 10 minutes after shutting car off. But eventually it does stop charging. Probably a safety feature to save battery from draining to far down. You may want to invest in a portable charger to keep for those times you want to charge while not hear a charging block.
  20. I had what I thought was a rattle in the dash. Turned out to be the plastic cover behind the rear view mirror. The way the sound reflected off the windshield made it sound like it was coming from the dash compartment above the radio.
  21. Here in the DC area I probably see 1-2 a week. But I'm on the road for 10-15 miles a day only.
  22. No need to pre-rinse the car when using ONR. Unless you were mudding they day before.
  23. Try this. Take something like a swifter you use on the floor. Put a wash mitt on it. Wash the roof that way without using a ladder or step stool. Wrap a towel around it...and dry it.
  24. Like akirby says the point of leasing is to keep the monthly payment low because you don't plan on keeping it. Just remember that you can buy your edge anytime during the lease period. So if you want to own it tomorrow and get away from the restrictions of the lease (mileage), you cut them a check for the remaining lease payments and agreed upon buy-out price, and it is all yours. If I was in that situation, I'd look at what that would cost me, see what my rate would be if having to take a loan, and figuring out the total cost of the car. Then try to figure out what the rate would be....say...in 3 years when the lease is up and if that is a better deal
