  1. Welcome. I was in Germany last week (Marktheidenfeld) for work. Beautiful country. Loved the autobahn. Loved the Beer. I didn't see any Ford Edge's while I was there. Just the Europe version of the Escape. Please post pics when your Edge arrives.
  2. Find a wheel repair guy in your area. There is a service by me that is mobile and will fix the area and you can't tell it was damaged. This is the damage I did to my Mustang wheel and once they were done, it looks like new:
  3. What I signed up for a year ago won't really matter today. The current deals/incentives, the current money factor, the amount of months you want, etc. will all factor in to that payment. And you are going to take a nice depreciation hit if you plan on trading your '15 in. The good thing is, just because the car is more expensive, doesn't always mean it'll be more when it comes to a lease. The Edge Sport residualize well so the payment may not be too much different in certain circumstances. It wasn't for me. I started looking at a '15 SEL and ended up in a '15 Sport for only a few bucks more.
  4. I don't think any of them stay active all the time. I believe they stay active for ~10 minutes and then they shut off. That is just my experience and I remember reading about it here. But since the new change in forum configuration, I am not going to even try to search for it.
  5. Yes I did notice some scuff marks. And I'd only use it for a weekend and take it off. The marks would rub off with some compound but I don't like the fact it was scuffing. Before the spring I will be placing some 3M (or similar) strips up there to protect the paint. Something like this I can cut to size: http://www.amazon.com/Clear-Universal-Guard-Paint-Protection/dp/B003EP52BU/ref=sr_1_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1457114391&sr=8-7&keywords=paint+protection+film
  6. And for some reason this car is a magnet for scratches for me. I am very picky about my paint. Already scratched the bumper on the edge from not being careful when unloading something. About 1/2" long. Down to the black plastic. Someone caught the edge of my door with theirs so there is a small chip down to the primer. Stone chip on the hood around where the hood hinge is. Chip on the edge of one of the panels. I'll grab some Dr. Colorchip and take care of them. At least they are dings...those usually run $100 to get out.
  7. Yup try a mild polish to buff out the scratch. If you can't feel it with your finger nail, it can probably be buffed off.
  8. Awesome. I have the same one minus those 21" wheels (which I must say look better and I wish were available when I picked mine up)
  9. Before re-arranging the forum, we had a few threads in the old 2G section on rattles: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/19803-rattle-coming-from-the-center-of-dashboard/?hl=rattle http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/19736-2015-edge-sport-b-pillar-rattle/?hl=rattle http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/18978-headliner-magnet-rattle-vista-roof/?hl=rattle http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/17808-ive-got-a-rattle/?hl=rattle http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/18796-is-a-sputtering-noise-normal-27l-sport/

  11. The dealership won't have much pull in getting anything moving any faster. What ever Ford is doing at the plant...they are going to do it regardless of what some dealership has to say. It sucks you can't get a clear answer and maybe someone that has good connections can provide some insight on the possible hold. But most of the time I read that dealers get minimal information too (for good reason).
  12. What % tint did you go with for the drive/passenger windows? For the rattle, there are a few common ones for the 15+ 1. Sounds like it is coming from behind the driver. That is a plastic cover that is loose underneath the car due to a plastic clip not doing its job. 2. Sounds like it is coming from the middle/passenger side of the back seat. That is a rattle from the bolts/support that mount the rear seat to the body. 3. Headliner rattle. 4. Sounds like it is coming from the storage compartment on the dash. That could be from the black plastic piece behind the rearview mirror.
  13. I'm sure I could wedge something somewhere to keep it from rattling. I haven't tried yet. And the piece is the big black plastic piece (Cover) behind the rear view mirror. Can't miss it.
  14. Check that plastic piece behind the rear view. That is what it was on mine. I think the sound bounces off the windshield and it sounds like it is coming from that storage compartment. I drove in the passenger seat for a few hours this weekend and when the rattle would come, I would grab that plastic piece and the noise would go away.
  15. I love my Sport too. Put it in to Sport Mode and the engine is very responsive.

    Roof Rack

If you search my posts about my Yakima roof rack I use, I have included measurements on it's height. I don't know how far the sunroof comes up so I can't tell you if it'll clear. The threads my posts are in may have other members who have the sunroof.
  17. Not sure how reliable those LED lights are. I have bought two sets from different buyers on Amazon for my Mustang. After a few months they always seem to start blinking. Sometimes it fixes itself. Other times the flickering continues.
  18. Something is not installed correctly or the pads are messed up. At this point I'd swap out the pads with an aftermarket brand. Howling brakes is not normal....ever.
  19. Glove Box: My owners manual, registration, and insurance papers. Compartment under radio where the USB plugs are: Nothing normally. When travelling I'll keep my keys in there. Spot behind the radio/center console: Nothing. Under the armrest: My phone charger is plugged in there. I also keep my spare sunglasses and a pen. Doors: Nothing. I like to keep a clean vehicle and don't like clutter. I've noticed in past vehicles that most of the stuff in the compartments are never used. I probably should keep a flashlight, emergency cash (hidden), a blanket, and a first aid kit.
  20. I had the Ford All Weahter mats from the day I picked up my '15 Edge. There really is no comparison between the Ford All Weather and the WeatherTech mats. The Ford ones are good to keep some rain water off the carpets and that is about it. With enough rain/snow, it will still get to the carpet. With the WeatherTech mats the floor is covered and the mats are fitted up the side of the floor liner so everything is kept on the mat. No chance for leaking to the carpet. I use them year round and have done the same on past vehicles. Well worth the money. I imagine the '15 WeatherTech mats would work fine. I don't believe Ford changed the post locations on the driver's side in '16.
  21. I'd just toss another $100 on top of the Ford All Weather Mats and get the WeatherTech mats. Much better coverage and protection.
  22. If you were actually over it you wouldn't have posted nothing more than your first sentence. Learn to control your emotions on the internet.
  23. Details on the shattered glass roofs?
