Excessive wind noise at the A pillar base (both sides)

My suggestion is that you don't spam this board with the same identical post in two separate categories. Delete one or the other would be my other suggestion. -
I have the FWD, so no drive shaft. I've posted about this before as have others. There has never been an OK sometimes, and a not OK other times. It has always been hard to fill the last 3 gallons or so. That's why I was wondering why his had to be replaced.

Good luck, and will be waiting to hear what they find out.

I didn't realize there were several ways to use a coin to check your tires. Note what the article says about the tires in rain, even if it passes the penny test using Lincoln's head. http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tiretech/techpage.jsp?techid=51

Are you asking about the SD card used for navigation? If so, it should be marked A4 which is the latest one to be used with the 3.6.2 Sync update. An A3 cad will not work anymore with 3.6.2 Ford provided the A4 card free when first downloading the update from the Ford site. I think dealers did also, but they might have had to do the update, even though there was no charge for the update.

Why was the fuel filler neck replaced? Curious if it had anything with shutting the fuel nozzle off when refueling, having to squeeze the last 3 gallons or so in?

I would think you should be covered under the federal emissions warranty? Also, is a Ford dealer allowed to do the test in your state? If you have to pay anyhow to have it done, have a dealer do it. They would then be able to see what is going on. I know the link is for 2013, but I am sure your 2011 has the same coverage. http://www.ford.com/trucks/f150/2013/warranty/emissions-warranty/ Copied from that link The warranty coverage period for: Passenger cars, light duty trucks (applies to vehicles up to 8,500 pounds GVWR)8 years or 80,000 miles (whichever occurs first) for catalytic converter, electronic emission control unit (ECU), transmission control module (TCM), and any other onboard emissions diagnostic module

Wednesday I had a round trip, driving about 2 hours each way. There were also several stops on the way back. I never lost connection with the SYNC or BT while I had the S4 connected. I had Slacker radio streaming music most of that time, and the artist and song name was always displayed on the screen. I was able to "skip" a song by using the SCAN button on the right hand side of the steering wheel. I had updated my S4 just a few days before this trip, and had no negative impact what so ever. I even gained the new addition of having artist and song title being shown on the screen using Slacker or Pandora radio apps.

I just want to mention that the set I just installed a couple of weeks ago also does not "switchback" between the amber and white when using the turn signals. I wired mine per the included pamphlet to allow the lights to act as full time DRL's. Wizard had previously answered my question about the courtesy light function not working now unless I re-wire the lights to come on only when I have the parking lights or headlights on. I wanted the function of having the DRL's without having to do anything else (turning on a light switch) so I am pleased with the way these work and look. Would I like the courtesy light function to work like it used to? Yes. Is it a big deal for me? No. I agree that just having the amber lights blink without going to the white in between blinks looks good.

Well, I guess I may have spoken too soon! I just tried the Pandora and Slacker radio stations from my S4 in the Edge using BT. Both are now showing artist and song title on the screen! Both on the full screen when I have the entertainment quad selected, and also when I am using the home screen. No cover art on the screen, but I'm happy (for now) with the artist and song info. Phone connected with no trouble. Tomorrow I have several hours of driving, so I will see if it drops like Prinzll's is doing.

I just finished updating my Galaxy 4 on the AT&T network to the latest version. I will find out later today or tomorrow if I have any issues while in the car. From what I've read about the updates, there really isn't too much new. Wish they would have included being able to send the Pandora artist/song/album to the screen on the Edge when using BT.

I don't know how much you would have to pay to have them done or what color/finish you are looking for. I check eBay all the time, and one seller, detroitwheelandtire always has some nice wheels. Last year they were blowing out some 20" Edge wheels, tires, TPMS, and center caps for prices under $1200.00 if I recall. I know you said yours are 22", these are just 20's" to give you an idea of what they are doing. Lately they are doing a powder coat or something similar. I am just putting these links to show what they are doing. I don't know how those exchange prices figure with your costs. http://www.ebay.com/itm/FORD-EXPLORER-PVD-Black-Chrome-Wheels-Factory-Rim-3861-Exchange-2011-2013-/200957922881?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Wheels&hash=item2eca068e41&vxp=mtr http://www.ebay.com/itm/FORD-EXPLORER-PVD-Bright-Chrome-Wheels-Factory-Rim-3860-Exchange-2011-2013-/110993289491?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Wheels&hash=item19d7b73113&vxp=mtr

Can you increase the output of the reverse light to help brighten up while backing up? Have you read all 5 pages of this topic? There is a link on page 5 that has pictures of the back up lights one owner installed. In post 88 on this page, click on the link. When you get to the post, look at post 18 to see the pictures. Have you searched for any of your other questions? There are plenty of posts about the turn signal hyper-flash and possible solutions or work arounds. The "fog-lights" aren't really fog-lights if you are referring to the vertical light bars in the front of the car. I know there is one 17 page post about them and how to wire up aftermarket lights. There are also other posts about the DRL's or daytime running lights which some owner's are converting these lights to. Plenty of information on here if you just look for it.

Unfortunately, your lack of concern for other peoples safety from your own actions was inexcusable. My rudeness I guess was asking why you would endanger other people and yourself by driving a car with "wonky" brakes that sometimes wouldn't even stop the car (your own words). Even after you said you were going to drive a different car (Mustang). Hope you are able to find the cause of the brake problem and can get back to driving safely.

There is a forum sponsor here who is a Ford parts vendor. Why not send Benny the question and see what he can find out? http://www.fordedgeforum.com/forum/56-levittown-ford-super-center/

Might have better luck getting an Explorer VIN from an Explorer owner over on the Explorer board. The paint may well be the same as an Edge, but why take a chance? http://www.explorerforum.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=152

Kghayes213, I don't understand some of what you are saying. On April 1, you posted complaining about your brakes being "wonky" and that sometimes they don't even STOP the car! You made a comment about who would get sued if you were in a crash because of the brakes. Now you post you are still driving it, and the brakes actually went completely out again. The answer as to who will get sued is YOU because you are not acting responsible. You are continuing to drive a vehicle with a KNOWN brake problem. You said your husband has worked on cars for years. If that is a fact, he should know better than to let you drive the Edge until the problem is fixed. You also said you would be driving the Mustang to work but hate to because of all the crazies. Sorry, but I believe you are the crazy driving a car with known brake problems. How can you maintain at least 8 car lengths between you and the car in front of you? You were lucky this time by not rear ending the car in front of you. Sounds like another recipe for disaster just waiting to happen! Get the Edge off the road until the brakes are fixed. Be responsible and don't put others or yourself at risk!

2013 SE daytime running lights-front
ls973800 replied to Travis Totten's topic in Accessories & Modifications
Go over to the Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, & Wipers topic on the forum ( http://www.fordedgeforum.com/forum/47-glass-lenses-lighting-mirrors-wipers/) Plenty of discussion about the DRL's including one with 17 pages. I believe most of the discussion is about the aftermarket product which I just installed myself. I don't recall much discussion about adding factory DRL's other than owner's have been able to have the dealer turn theirs on with a visit to the service department. You can also use the search feature of the forum and find more results.- 5 replies

Did Ford replace the coils and spark plugs under the program they have to do so for these model years? If so, I think the PCM may have also been one of the items they were supposed to replace also. The PCM could be damaged, or could damage the coils. Don't quit remember exactly what happens. Your PCM may be bad or going bad. Here is a post about the problem and the PCM needing replaced also. You will have to see exactly what TSB 13-04-17 covers and for how long. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/13537-coilpcm-issues-and-reimbursement-for-tsb-13-04-17/?hl=%2Bcoils+%2Band+%2Bpcm

Any unusual wear on any of the tires? Have you rotated the tires, and if so, does the pull still happen in the same direction? Does it happen on all roads (trying to eliminate caused by road crown)?

Looking for parts ANY ONE PARTING OUT AN MKX OR EDGE
ls973800 replied to CinnamonEdge's topic in Exterior & Body
I have no idea of what you may be looking for or why, but perhaps this link to salvage yards will come in handy. You can do local search or nation wide. You can also request parts if you don't find what you are looking for. http://car-part.com/ -
2011 replacement fob programming
ls973800 replied to revo1059's topic in Alarms, Keyless Entry, Locks & Remote Start
The owner's manual has steps on how to program a key to your vehicle. I believe, however, that you need at least two working keys to begin with. If you only have one, a trip to the dealer or perhaps a locksmith is needed. -
Thanks, they are looking like a good replacement for the factory Pirelli tires when the time comes.
