I agree that dealers should be replacing these under warranty after the first stall with or without codes. The fact that it doesn't leave a code is Ford's fault and the customer shouldn't have to jump through hoops. I can also see it being dangerous in RARE circumstances where you're in the middle of a jam packed interstate with fast moving vehicles and you have to move across 2 or 3 lanes to get to the shoulder. But the vast majority of failure scenarios are nothing more than an inconvenience having to stop and restart the vehicle.

How do I wire in power inverter?
akirby replied to jjones0377's topic in Accessories & Modifications
And that's the ONLY safe way to do it. -
That's exactly what it is along with what Waldo said about Ford settling the claims with the supplier.

The number they read was a previously programmed owner's number, not the original number that came with the car. That's printed under the dash and it only comes with one from the factory.

13N02 - Extended Warranty Coverage on Brake Booster
akirby replied to omar302's topic in Recalls, TSBs & Warranty
It's an extended warranty not a recall. It would be stupid to replace perfectly good boosters just because a few of them are bad. And the failure isn't catastrophic. Just keep an eye out for symptoms. -
Single zone climate control issue
akirby replied to FDXGUY's topic in Interior, A.C., Heat, Interior Trim
Yep. Sounds like it's defaulting to On when you start the vehicle which may be normal. You'd have to get someone else with a 2011+ to test it on theirs. -
Single zone climate control issue

Not sure what you mean - it should be in the same position as when you turned it off. What is being reset exactly? A/C? Fan speed? -
There is a filter but you don't need to change it. If it's clogged up then the tranny is already toast.

If you have to pay for a repair keep your receipts in case Ford extends the warranty extension to Edges too.

Forde Edge 2011, Radiator Fan apparently not working
akirby replied to macargarrote's topic in 2011 Edge & MKX
You need the entire fan assembly with the controller. It's possible there is a problem with the fans that caused the controller to go bad (increased resistance e.g.).- 2 replies

Ok. You said "actual" so I thought you were implying mine wasn't.

That's exactly what I posted. ????

2015 order guide 2015 Edge Order Guide.pdf

It's free to join but I'll copy it over here shortly.

It will be in the news and registered owners will get letters. If somebody doesn't find out about it before the deadline chances are they'll never find out about it. And they still might offer reimbursement on a case by case basis after the deadline.

2015 edge order guide. Looks like the sport gets all the titanium options including HIDs. http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/index.php?/topic/54794-2015-ford-edge-job-1/?p=919388

Are you sure it didn't just downshift? It will downshift automatically if you touch the brakes while going downhill to help maintain speed.
-
It means if you already paid to have it fixed you can submit for reimbursement until then. Anything from now on would be covered by the recall. Since it's a recall every owner will be notified via mail. My guess is they would still honor the reimbursement if someone failed to be notified. The deadline is so that the vast majority of folks get their reimbursements submitted right away and don't let it drag out.

Waldo is correct - I didn't realize it was limited to Fusions and Escapes but not the Edge. http://www.ncconsumer.org/news-articles/ford-issues-extended-warranty-to-cover-throttle-body-assemblies.html

Unfotrunately it appears the extended warranty only covers Escape, Fusion, Milan and Mariner. I don't know why it doesn't apply to the Edge. It also includes reprogramming the PCM to make it more tolerant of the failure condition. http://www.ncconsumer.org/news-articles/ford-issues-extended-warranty-to-cover-throttle-body-assemblies.html

As I just pointed out in the other thread the warranty has already been extended to 10 yrs/150K miles.
