  1. I would use the General model specific (Gen I or Gen II) or Engine (2.0, 2.7, 3.5 or 3.7) since transmission issues are usually grouped that way. But a specific sub category as suggested would be useful. In any case, I personally use the "unread" view, so I would see new posts from all forums regardless of sub categories.

Congratulations on your new ride and welcome to the forums.
  3. For the 3.5 & 2.7 V6 Engines, the dipstick is under/part of the fill cap.
  4. US model Edges up to 2015 used SD Cards for Navigation data. Those had MyFord Touch systems (Sync 2).
  5. Do you mean when put in Sport mode without using the paddles (if equipped)? If yes, then that is supposedly normal as the highest ratio is not used in "Sport" mode. However, if you have paddle shifters, try to upshift while in "7" and it should manually upshift. The issue of Ford eliminating one gear is related to the ST model with the V6 Ecoboost 2.7L. That transmission is completely different than the one used in other models. On another note, this is the first time someone mentions that Sport mode now shows the current gear shift. It has long been requested, but was not implemented. Previously, on the Edge it would only show the current gear if in manual shift mode.
  6. If I were you, I'd try to read the error codes while the problem is still present, before turning off the vehicle. More specifically, using ForScan. I remember before in some older models where the throttle body would fail and caused issues including getting into limp mode, but trouble codes would get erased once the vehicle is turned off and restarted.
  7. A picture will help better identify what it is.
  8. That is it. If you like to know more, the Lincoln Nautilus, models with the same Engine/Transmission, still retains the 8-Speed function as per this article. Maybe someone with a 2021 Nautilus 2.7L can confirm it shifts manually 1-8. Furthermore, this 8-speed transmission is actually an upgrade to the pervious 6-speed used in 2015-2018 Sport models by adding 2 more gears. The 2nd (which is now disabled) and the 8th which is an additional overdrive ratio.
  9. Follow up, I just received my order and I can confirm they are the same lug nuts for the Ford Edge. So if you need a set of 5 or more OEM lug nuts, buy the Ford Performance part M-1012-M.
  10. Actually it is "EDGE" under the Blue Oval at the back.
  11. I believe you have an ST, right? If so then you have a completely different transmission. The transmission reffed to in @Haz post is used in non ST models (with the 2.0L 4 cyl). It is also different than what was used on the Fusion.
  12. Ford should make a 2-row version of the Explorer to replace the Edge. Would be RWD based, add more sales volume to the Explorer nameplate and the ST version would be better than the Edge ST.
  13. Impressive time. Seems the transmission was taking its time to shift. You would probably get a much better time with performance shift tune, though I personally did not like it and kept the stock shift tune for every day drivability. Did the tranny also shift 2-3 before 60? I was under the impression it shifted after 60. No wonder the 2019-2020 ST was slower if it had to shift 1>2>3>4 given the extra 2nd compared to the 2015-2015 Sport and shorted final drive ration (3.65 vs. 3.16).
  14. I recently found that there is a Ford Performance part (M-1012-M - link) that includes 5 lug nuts for the Mustang (which has the same lug nuts as the 2015+ Edge) for a retail price of USD 15. Searching online I find it for even less (eBay listing for 4 sets - Levittown Ford Parts). Making each lug cost nearly half as much as buying them individually. I ordered the set from the eBay listing and will update once received & installed to confirm. I had previously installed black lug nuts from Veritek (link to thread about them) however they quickly started to show rust after a few wheel removals/installations.
  15. 2016-2018 look the same but the 2019 was a refresh, updates front/rear styling, 8-speed auto transmission, rotary dialer. The newer the model you get the better in my opinion.
  16. On newer models unfortunately there is no "Gallons used" in the trip info and I haven't seen any way of enabling it, even though the info is available in Engineering mode (link to how to enter Engineering Mode). For the fuel consumption (mpg) inaccuracy, there is a workaround detailed in this post:
  17. I'll just link this post here for anyone with a 2015+ Edge interested in upgrading their cluster.
  18. It is very expensive, however I have doubts on their claims as the images/videos they show appear to be for the stock 10" display from the MKX/MKZ (already being retrofitted to Fusions/Edges) with a modified inner mask (under the lens) and firmware already available. See below video sample. Also, not sure they will be able to get that same cluster to work on older vehicles (2011-2014 Edge, 2011-2015 Explorer, pre 2013 Fusion) due to the different vehicle electrical architectures.
  19. Thanks @Haz for your usual detailed reply. Reading you reply had me wondering what the evaporator assembly housing looks like (P/N: K2GZ-19B555-BG), so I found a few on sale on eBay (example 1, example 2) and it sure seems there is a drain location built into the assembly housing, just apparently it would drain directly without going through a "drain pipe or hose", hence the no-part available for it. Also from the pictures it seems to be located below the heater inlet/outlet pipes. Have attached photos with arrows pointing to where I think it is. Will try to search again in below the heater pipes. My doubt is that the water drips on to the exhaust/catalyst heat shield, then is absorbed in to it and evaporates before dripping. The P/N of the housing is the same for 2015-2021 Edge and 2016-2020 MKX/Nautilus. Can anyone confirm if their Edge/MKX/Nautilus from those years drips water from the A/C?
  20. As per my understanding, the recall is to replace the bushing with a new one made of a different material and install a protective cap so it does not deteriorate and cause the roll away risk. So they will replace the bushing under this recall if if the current one is not currently damaged.
  21. I don't have experience, however this PDF (same one from my post above) has photos of the procedure. Just need to remove the intake air filter box.
  22. Does the Gen2 Edge have an A/C water Drain location? I don't see water dripping even though it is quite humid nowadays. Also couldn't find a drain pipe looking under the vehicle. I want to check for blockage as I am getting a slight mildew smell sometimes when the A/C starts blowing, however all the carpet inside is dry. My other car, the MKS, drips large puddles of water, as does most vehicles I see on the road.
  23. Did you drive the vehicle? if not, drive it for 10 minutes or so to see if it fixes it. Also try disconnecting the battery for a few minutes.
  24. Did the vehicle read the sensors automatically and show correct tire pressures or was there a procedure performed?
