Should be covered fully. From the 2019 Warranty Guide:
-
I remembered seeing a different cargo cover somewhere, found it in this carwow review. At the 5:57 mark he removed and you can see how it's attached to the rear headrests.
-
There was supposed to be a link to an Amazon example, thanks for pointing that out. Corrected it now to your example.
-
I don't use it, but my understanding is that if you set a time, and the headlight switch is left in the auto position, the lights will remain on for the selected amount after you turn off the engine.
-
The OEM one is the sealed unit like this one. There is actually a bulb inside, but it is not easily replaced. What you can do is get some aftermarket LED replacements (example) that are cheaper than the OEMs and are brighter/whiter. Win-win.

Looking up the part number online (DA5Z13776A) I found this Russian site with a photo from of the light from the back, it seems that it can be removed without pulling the side panel, you just need to know which side to pry from with a flat screwdriver.

My dealer uses a "rotunda" tool to test the battery, and if the result was "failed" they'll replace it immediately. Once I replaced a Motorcraft battery because of a crack at the battery post even though it tested "good", but the physical damage was clearly a defect and thus was replaced. I just brought the battery in and went out with the new one and replaced it myself to avoid the long waiting times of the workshop. Another option I had when under the 3 year bumper warranty is calling the roadside assistance (also under warranty) and let them tow the vehicle to the dealer. In that case my waiting will be at home. Just have to go collect it once ready. @txaggie if you still have the old battery, ask the dealer if they will exchange it for a new one, why let Ford off the hook for a new battery if they were supposed to cover it.

LIncoln MKX to Ford Edge Instrument Cluster Swap
omar302 replied to onyxbfly's topic in Accessories & Modifications
Hi all, Can anyone confirm what firmware files works with the MKX cluster on the Edge? Or where I can find them? My cluster currently is stick MKX and is working fine, but I'd like to switch to the Ford colors and it would also be nice to get the outside temperature display.- 110 replies

Old thread, I know, but just saw a video on YouTube and saw the DEF/adblue filler next to the fuel (diesel) filler and remembered this thread. Below is a screenshot at around the 0:45 mark.

Did you replace it under warranty? The OEM battery is covered under the 3 year bumper to bumper warranty.

They are not the same person, each has a ton of contribution in the Ford Edge Forums. @WWWPerfA_ZN0W & MACT @macbwt

I also noticed the same. They are physically the same with the exception of the (R) & (L) printed on them (pics attached). They are even prices exactly the same. Found even Toyota does the same thing having two different part numbers for right & left. Maybe it a standard practice and maybe they are different for some vehicle models. Yes.

Update. I got a set for my 2016 Edge Sport from eBay (this listing). Even though the listing states 2019-2021, I found Ford's part number is the same so I got them and they work fine. Now the really lift the hood to the point that when closing the hood, I can't drop it shut. Have to kinda push it (throw it?) down the last foot or so to close it shut. One of the stock struts apparently started leaking.

Battery trouble, will the H6 fit in a Sport?
omar302 replied to Xtra's topic in Accessories & Modifications
I previously cropped these sizes from the Motorcraft battery details for easy comparison. Other members had confirmed that H6 & H7 batteries do fit. The battery tray has three holes for the bracket to allow to fit the longer batteries. -
2016 Edge (European 2.0 AWD) Rear Wheel bearing
omar302 replied to Dave C's topic in Brakes, Chassis & Suspension
In the US, the bearings come as part of the hub, they are not sold separately. For the US Edge Sport this is the rear hub. The US Edge rear hub is the also the same for the US Fusion. The US Fusion is sold as the Mondeo in Europe. So maybe it's the same for the European Edge. -
PM sent. I am definitely comfortable to provide you my Edge's VIN. Thanks.

Hi Haz, Was searching online for a similar code I was getting and stumbled on this post. Is it possible to upload the diagnostic procedure for the SASM? I have the PDF for the 2015 model Edge which at the time was not available with the Adaptive Steering as my 2016 is equipped with.

Two questions about Gen 2 forward lighting...
omar302 replied to MetalAnon's topic in 2015+ Edge & MKX Generation II
The H15 bulb is a dual filament bulb. 55w & 15w. The DRL function uses the 15w filament only. The 55w filament unfortunately is not utilized in the Edge . -
Group 65 Battery in 2nd Gen Possible?
omar302 replied to omar302's topic in 2015+ Edge & MKX Generation II
There is no official reason from Ford on why the battery is charged to 80% (as far as I know). Maybe it is simply for fuel economy that charging the battery from 80% to 100% requires considerably more energy that they deemed that it is not worth the extra fuel, hence charging to only 80% and selecting an appropriate battery size accordingly. -
Group 65 Battery in 2nd Gen Possible?
omar302 replied to omar302's topic in 2015+ Edge & MKX Generation II
The general consensus is that the charging "algorithms" are different between AGM & FLA batteries and the ForScan change would set up the vehicle to charge correctly based on the type of battery. Also, the battery capacity info would mean the vehicle charges to the correct percentage (80%) as the charging system is designed to charge to 80% only for extended battery life and then would stop charging when not needed to reduce wasted energy from over charging hence reducing fuel consumption.
