  1. I had a similar issue on my 2016 Edge's armrest. I found out that cleaning the ridge shown in the below images and other side where the ridge meets would eliminate the creaking for sometime. Eventually, I put some felt tape over the ridge and it has been quiet for the longest time I remember.
  2. Reverse Tilt will only work if the vehicle has memory seats. I don't believe the SEL trim has memory seats.
  3. On HID equipped 2015-2018 Edge the inner bulb is a H15 bulb with dual filaments. The low filament (15 watts if I remember correctly) is used for the DRL function, but the other filament is NOT used. Even the wiring is not connected. You will find only two wires on the bulb connector, ground and DRL. The high beam function is achieved by moving a shutter on the outer HID projectors (commonly known as bi-xenon). On non-HID 2015-2018 Edge that inner bulbs are 9005 utilized for high beams only. DRL function is achieved using reduced voltage (or some alternating current/voltage, don't exactly remember) on the low beam bulbs. Also, those "outer" lights are HID (High Intensity Discharge) lights, aka Xenon lights, not LED. You cannot remove them for cleaning, unless you disassemble the headlight and then gluing it back together. It is possible, but not simple and you could end up breaking them.
  4. It probably was very hot to the touch, if I remember correctly, and there even was a yellow plastic or rubber sleeve that you can hold the prop from to avoid touching the hot steel prop rod. See below photo:
  5. On earlier models (2015-2018) I know that replacing the windshield requires calibration for the camera. Not sure of newer models, however I guess they also will need calibration. I'd bet this is your issue since you issue started at the same time.
  6. There is a somewhat issue on some Ford cooled seats modules due to the wiring connector on the module itself. Not sure if it is the same on your Edge or not, but checking the connector shouldn't be difficult. See below video as example, many Ford vehicles use the same module.
  7. Apparently I was mistaken. The website states "MacPherson Struts", no mention of "Shock Absorbers" and the brochure does mention "Shock Absorbers" as examples of repairs related to Maintenance that is NOT covered. Seems my mistake is due to the mixup between PremiumCARE and the Premium Maintenance Plan where it is covered:
  8. You need to check which ESP package you Edge has, if it is "PremiumCare" then the shocks should be included. I know dealers here like to charge customers extra. Maybe @Haz can help you see which package you have using your VIN. Or check you papers to see what warranty package was included when you purchased it. I remember on my Edge the service adviser told me that shocks/struts were included.
  9. Welcome. Your Edge is very similar to mine in being a 2016 Sport model purchased new in 2018 and has nearly 70k KM now. Only mine is in Kona Blue color.
  10. If you're not getting OEM, I'd suggest Bilstein. I don't recall anyone here having tried BC on an Edge. Also, if the dealer is quoting you high prices, buy them online from the US and have them shipped over. Edit: Reading your introductory post, doesn't your Edge have an extended warranty? ESP? I was under the impression all GCC Ford vehicles from those years had them. If so, the shocks should be covered for 5 years or 100k KM.
  11. In the cooling component location for the 2.7L, hot market AWD, item#31 (named transmission cooler) looks similar to the Transmission fluid "warmer". Wonder if it's the same item but called different. Engine Cooling - Component Location 27l.pdf
  12. Some more photos: Bonus photo of the Trans cooler added for Hot Market AWD 2016 Edges (at least on my Edge):
  13. Update2. Dealer replaced the evaporator. It is heartful to see the dash fully removed and knowing it probably won't return to the way it was. Got a few pictures. The drain location is right in the middle, seems to drain over the insulation that is above the PTU/Exhaust. Old Evaporator:
  14. Inspired by OP's post, I got this sunshade from Amazon that has several reviews from Edge owners. I can confirm it fits very well. Can't get better covering than this. Material is a bit thicker than usual sunshade covers, feels close to the type of material used in swimming inflatables.
  15. To me it looks like normal water moisture that has dried up on a dirty/dusty engine.
  16. Do you have HID lights? If yes, could be the balasts. Better check for codes using ForScan to get the BCM codes, might give a better indication.
  17. That TSB is for the older generation Edge. There is a newer one for 2015+ models (TSB 18-2057 - link). To test if this is really you issue, run the A/C in outside air mode (recirculate off).
  18. So, had the issue happen again a few days ago. This time I was remote starting while I was looking at the vehicle, the hazards flashed once (for the lock button press) then nothing. The keypad entry worked, same as before. So I tryed tapping on the relays/fuse boxes in the Engine compartment and under the dash, nothing happened. Also, tried to connect using ForScan. the strange thing is that it connected to the "PCM", but not to the Body Control Module. Normally, with the ignition off it is the other way around. So now I am thinking it is from the Body Control module. Screenshots attached. Will see how this goes. Of course, as usual, quick disconnect/reconnect of the battery and the car started up fine.
  19. Replaced the Key Fobs battery. Got a "Key Battery Low" message. Battery lasted just over 3 years. This is for the 2019 style keyfob I added to my 2016 Edge (link).
  20. Update. Cooling performance was reduced, so dealer eventually diagnosed it as a leaking evaporator. Currently at the dealer of replacement. So the smell was probably of the leaking A/C gas. Once they remove the evaporator, and before re-assembly, I plan to take a look where the drain hole is.
  21. When the issue happens, try to disconnect the vehicle's battery for a few seconds and re-connect it. See if this helps reset the electronice.
  22. I know this is an old thread, but read a similar finding on the Fusion Sport forums (2.7 EcoBoost - link) and they refer to it as a dyno plug, unplugging it shuts the traction and stability control off.
  23. As per the service manual for the 2015 model, first year for Gen2, there are differences in the cooling systems for vehicles equipped with the tow package. So better cooling is part of the reason why the factory tow package allows for more towing capacity. 24. I would use epoxy/glue. Just trying as much as possible to keep the glue on all the broken plastic screw areas. It has to be permanent as it was not supposed to be detached that way.
