    I believe Ford's main issue with the throttle body was the fact when it failed & vehicle entered limp mode, no DTC would be saved after an engine restart, leaving customers frustrated when a dealer would not be able to diagnose the problem without being able to see the symptoms. This probably elevated the concern.

    How dirty was the old Throttle Body? Did it have a lot of buildup? Especially around where the butterfly valve closes?

    Physically checking, there are 2. One in the seat back cavity & one under the seat bottom. There are no ducts or elements between the two, so no way one device will be working for both. Also, if you turn on the seat heater or cooler, both fans will start. Note: This only applies to the 2011-2015 MKX, the 2011-2014 Edge is different as it does not have seat cooling, hence I believe it has the traditional heating elements.

    License is free, but is valid for 2 months after which you need to renew it, again for free. Till when it will remain free is unknown.

    The only thing I can help in is stating that there are no heating elements. The heating & cooling effects are achieved using the same Peltier device, one for the seat bottom and one for the seat back (for each seat).

    The iPhone app version of ForScan will not allow you to calibrate the camera. Only the PC version does.

    Since the Throttle Body is electronic, no need for a separate idle bypass circuit or IAC. As Akirby stated, it is normal that the Throttle Body does not close 100%, it should be very slightly open. Just remove the air intake tube in your Edge & look at the stock throttle body to make sure it is the same.

    The MKX has a dimming mirror on the driver's side, hence the extra pins. I remember one member here with an MKX here who wanted to do the opposite to get the larger mirrors on his newer MKX, but he got an error from the BLIS/CTA. This is the thread.

    If you have a 2011, you probably have the regular Osram 66340 . Later on, maybe 2012/2013, they started using 66340 HBI. Searching online, HBI might stand for "High Beam Improved", but they are better than non-HBI. I found a good deal on a pair of HBIs & saw a noticable improvement. The CBIs are supposed to be even better (though I did not try them).

    No, did not fix it, yet. Just can't justify the price! The minimum for the 2 rails only without labor cost ~ $700.

    Like what Akirby stated, flashing brake lights are annoying. The way some German vehicles have it, that the brake lights and/or turn signals would flash with brakes, only in case of hard/emergency braking, in my opinion is the right way, especially the amber turn signals.

    For a 2011 Edge with intelligent access (push button start), a fob from a 2011-2015 Explorer, 2013+ Taurus/MKS or 2013+ Flex/MKT would work. Off course not to forget the 2011-2015 MKX. In short, any fob that looks the same & has the same frequency (315 or 433 MHz) in USA I believe most use or all use 315MHz. Edit: with 1 key available, you can't program it yourself. Need a dealer or a key shop with the right equipment.

    +1 Also did it on the Taurus. At the time I found one of the Toshiba bulbs that had a ball shaped glass around the filament.

    If it uses H11, you can easily upgrade to H9 with simple modifications. I did this when had my 2008 Taurus, I did not even have to cut the upper lugs. The difference is very noticeable, but they do have a shorter life.

    Even if the doors are already unlocked, you'll still hear them clicking when you unlock again.

    I think they added this indicator half through the 2013 model year Edge. I have not seen any mod to add it for 2011-2012 models. Edit: A thread about it. Apparently early 2013 build also did not have it.

    I still didn't get why you removed it? Only for the increased noise? That doesn't sound like you. I guess your next video will be on how to change the brake light bulbs, Blueberry right top bulb is out (seen @ 17:52). Also, maybe you already know this, but with ForScan you can monitor the individual tire pressures as reported by the TPMS through the BCM.

    They did implement engine auto turn-off after ~45 minutes of idling.
