  1. Are the front clips broken? If, yes and the motor still works, I'd open it slightly and get get help from 2 persons (total 3) one would press the close button while the other 2 push the glass panel from the back, one on each side simultaneously. Hope it works for you.
  2. Tried to do a master reset of the MFT? If that doesn't work, try a cattery disconnect, if that also doesn't work, try a re-calibration using ForScan. Try to toggle the setting after each try. If non-work, you might need a new camera.
  3. There are no known issues, I believe the only issues used to come when the phoned had software updates, then they'd be corrected. But no issues now.
  4. As far as I know, Ford vehicles for a long time do not have horizontal adjustment. Let your dealer check it out.
  5. Yours has a 3.7L naturally aspirated engine. They are talking about the 2015+ Edge Sport with the 2.7L EcoBoost Engine (Twin Turbocharged). So the numbers aren't the same.
  6. I know the stock engine idle speed is 600 RPM, but I also remember reading somewhere (can't find it now) that with the Tow Package the idle speed was 640 RPM. I have a 2011 MKX with the factory towing package & with checking recently with ForScan it seems that my idle speed is set at 600 RPM. The desired speed is 600 and actual hovers around 600, but definitely not 640. Can someone that has the Tow Package confirm what their Edge/MKX has? Thanks. This is a screenshot from ForScan, at the bottom, RPMDSD is the desired RPM. Edit: Found the spec sheet that showed the idle speeds, attached. 2011_MKX_Specs.pdf
  7. Seems to be the mat for the area under the console, the gap/pass through under the shift lever. It is part #20 here.
  8. Replacement filters for the previous years have shifted to so called lifetime filters (no filter in reality). The same basic design is applicable to older & new Fords, the seatback cooling/heating device is confined to a limited space which eventually gets filled with hot exhaust air and thus cooling becomes non-existing. I think the main difference between the old cars & newer ones is the the seatbacks are now much thinner, amplifying the same issue. In my MKX, the seatback cooling is barely noticeable, especially compared to the seatbottom (which is open from the bottom towards the floor).
  9. The only solution that I know of to upgrade the existing system (the 8" MyFord Touch) is to go for a Sync 3 unit. This will give you Android Auto. But I do not know of, or heard of, any aftermarket replacement system to the stock 8" system.
  10. As far as I know, they added it from the factory in 2013 models & above. Also there was an extended warranty up-to 10 or 200k km for 1 replacement at which time the replacement would have the drain plug. Edit: it is 190k km. Here is the thread about it: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/13533-13m01-middle-east-ptu-extended-warranty/
  11. Maybe because that specific update can only be done by special equipment that is available at a dealer?
  12. Rear defrost (with the heated mirrors) & heated/cooled seats always default to off after turning off the ignition.
  13. A camera image at night is not a good way to judge lighting performance or differences unless you use the exact same manual (exposure?) settings. With auto, the camera will adjust based on available light.
  14. There is no separate setting for the heated mirrors. At least none that I know of.
  15. Does the rear defrost turn on? The mirror heaters are tied to the rear defrost. What might be the issue is that the mirror heaters don't get power with remote start.
  16. Though I do agree that the double honk is very annoying, and would definitely disable it without question, Akirby's suggestion works by closing the door to the first latch (not fully closed) so the door would be locked, but not fully closed.
  17. What is your current oil consumption?
  18. On my MKX, before the replacement cover, I saw oil on the intake tube up to the throttle body, though did not see it on the filter itself. I had the cover replaced at least a 18 months ago, and recently I checked & still no oil was present in the intake tube or throttle body. When you have the valve cover replaced, did you clean the whole intake tube? Maybe there was oil residue.
  19. @Ericalan350 Re-reading your original post, what kind of HVAC issue you had? Also, does the smell only come once you first start the A/C or air after the vehicle had been sitting for a while? If yes, then it might be a smell from a leaking evaporator.
  20. I don't see why dust or dirt would collect at the filler neck. I live in a dusty area and the filler area behind the fuel door is always clean. There is a gasket on the back of the fuel door that is supposed to seal the filler neck when the door is closed. Maybe the fuel door is not closing properly.
  21. You can find it elsewhere online. Here for example .
  22. The seatback doesn't cool better because the Peltier Device is in a closed cavity & the hot/warm air it mostly trapped which causes the device to get warmer air as an intake to cool. Whereas the seat bottom is open towards the floor, so it discharges warm air to the cabin & gets fresh air (cabin temperature) to cool. This is issue has been a major concern with the 2015+ F150 and also 2015+/2016+ Edge & Explorer. probably due to thinner seatbacks. TSBs were issued to revise the seatback device to include a duct/sock to allow for fresh air intake from below the seat. There is also an aftermarket solution that adds two ducts, for fresh air intake & discharge, both to below the seat.
  23. I believe the only benefit would be that the K&N filter is washable. So you need to calculate how many filters you need to change for the cost of one K&N filter and see if it is worth it for you based on how frequently you might change the filter.
  24. Did you check the AC drain hose? Maybe it is clogged & water is leaking to the carpet inside. Check this video from Mac:
