  1. I just found TSB 17-2219 which supersedes TSB 15-0047, the main thing here is the availability of a Shifter Kit switch to fix this problem. The kit for the 2011-2014 Edge is GT4Z-3F988-B and costs only $16.23. That is a big a difference compared to changing the complete shifter. TSB 17-2219 Shifter not in Park.pdf
  2. akirby, the Grille reinforcements I posted were only for the MKX. The Edge (2011-2014) have only 1 part number, so it would seem they are the same whether Tow Package equipped or not. But your point still stands that there might be more to a factory Tow Package than what is listed in the Towing Guide and it is not a simple difference.
  3. Old thread I know, but I recently found out that the Edge Sport in GCC spec is rated @ 340PS & 542 Nm which are converted to 335BHp & 400 lb.f. Link to Ford's Middle East site for the Edge: https://www.me.ford.com/en/omn/suvs/edge/features/performance/
  4. What you have looks like the 400a equipment group with the Technology package. Was the window sticker still on the window when you saw it? If not, maybe the dealer showed you one for another Edge.
  5. Attached are what I found here. Hope they will be helpful. 111.pdf 222.pdf 333.pdf
  6. The attached image shows the difference in the grille reinforcement for the 2011-2015 Lincoln MKX differs based on the Tow Package availability. You can see how with the Tow Package the reinforcement has 5 slots for air flow to the radiator per side, while without the Tow Package it only has 3 per side. This was not mentioned in any Tow Guide as a difference. I mean to show this as an example of changes that are not apparent between vehicles factory equipped with Tow Packages compared to those without the Tow Package.
  7. 401A does include HID & Cooled seats. Are you sure you have the 401A package?
  8. This would be useful in case of screen blackout, from the 2016 Edge Owners manual for Sync 3:
  9. I have seen this in some forum sometime ago but couldn't find it. So after searching I was able to finally find it, it is a way to restart/reboot the MyFord Touch Screen (Sync 2). It is mentioned in the Owners Manual for the 2016 Explorer (I remeber it did NOT work on the 2011 MKX, but it does work on the 2016 Edge with MFT, yes, Sync 2): It is also mentioned in the 2016 Edge Owners manual for Sync 3:
  10. I have heard of the opposite, people wanting to install a mirror with the convex spot mirror. If you really don't want them, I think you might have 2 options: 1) Install the OEM mirror glass for one with BLIS system as it does not have the convex portion, but it does have a small dot that illuminates in vehicles with BLIS from the factory, but the dot will not of course work in your Edge. 2) Install aftermarket glass for BLIS that would be glued on the stock mirror glass plastic back.
  11. 1 more question, anyone tried this if it works on the Edge? I got it from the 2015 F150 sheet and was discussed in the Fusion forum, but no report if it works or not.
  12. Did it work for you? The IPC will not show the setting for me. It does show Auto Fold in case I changed the value to F. But Mirror Tilt doesn't show in any case. Also, after making the DDM & PDM changes, the Tilt works, but after a while (maybe an ignition cycle) the mirrors wouldn't tilt, checking the values for PDM/DDM shows that the set values are still correct.
  13. Mikula, you might want to research the SHO AWD system. I remember a similar issue being reported & it varied between being normal to a failure in the rear drive/clutch pack. Note the the PTU sends power to the rear all the time (like a differential), but there is a clutch pack that determines how much to send.
  14. Because, here, if an AWD vehicle cannot go on sand it would NOT sell!
  15. This is what Ford has to say about the PTU oil for Middle East (GCC) spec AWD Edge/MKX & even 2.0L Escapes:
  16. Congratulations on your new ride. Hope you enjoy it to the fullest.
  17. You could try to update the MFT again and see if it gets it back, otherwise a dealer visit might be required or get into ForScan & As Built Data to figure it out. But as far as I know, that feature is really of no real benefit. It is not like its going to report problems the Check Engine light doesn't show.
  18. Thanks. I am fine. THANKS. The accident was simple, just a small shock from the hit, I was alone in the MKX at the time. It is because the rear fender is not easily replaceable I opted not ti get it fixed (OCD).
  19. Well, after nearly 6 years of use & ~77k miles, I have sold my 2011 Kona Blue MKX. My car was hit in February & I decided to take the compensation & sell it off. it was not a bad deal. So Good by to my MKX. And.. I got a good deal on a 2016 Edge Sport, new unsold stock. It has every thing, including the 21" wheels & vista roof which I would have rather not had, but that is the only configuration we got. Still getting used to it. It is also in Kona Blue, like my MKX. Among the first things I found, being a Middle East spec with a supplement to the Owners Manual (yes I do read the Manual), is this: Makes me think I would have been able to blame Ford for the broken Vista clips on the MKX as they now realize that the Vista roof requires periodical maintenance (cleaning) which was not specified before nor done when carrying out the maintenance as per their recommendations at their dealer!!. Some photos of the MKX's accident:
