  1. omar302 is correct, Patti. While on the map screen, press the "repeat instruction" button (the little circle arrow in the upper left corner) and then turn the volume knob to your desired level, or you can wait until the next time Samantha talks. Let me know if you have any questions. Rebecca
  2. Hi drpepper, I answered your post in the Focus forum, but I'll post it here too. I don't have pricing information, but you can order an A5 SD card through your dealership. HERE, formerly known as NAVTEQ, is still our map provider, and at a later date you'll be able to order your map updates through them via www.navigation.com. Rebecca
  3. Easy peasy is right, born2gogolf! Here's a link to the download instructions, cnyle: http://support.ford.com/sync-technology/download-software-updates-sync-myford-touch I can't wait to see your pictures! Rebecca
  4. Congrats on your new-to-you Edge, cnyle! omar302 is correct on how to get to the settings for the backup camera. If you'd still like to see which version of software you have, log in to your SYNC account at www.Support.Ford.com and it'll be on the right side in the blue section. The latest version is 3.6.2. Let me know if you need help setting up an account. Rebecca
  5. LOL! I'll start working on it, and maybe a second volume knob for the screaming kids in the back? Rebecca
  6. Hi Jeff Portwood, No question is stupid! Like akirby said, you can turn her volume up or down while she's talking by turning the volume knob. There's also a voice command for it; just say "Navigation voice louder." For more commands, check out this link: http://support.ford.com/sync-technology/navigation-by-voice-sync-myford-touch Rebecca
  7. You should still have your limited warranty extension for MyFord Touch, KingLouie; it's been extended to a total of five years from the warranty start date, regardless of mileage. This additional coverage not only exceeds the original warranty coverage provisions of your vehicle, but also includes important future software updates. I suggest making an appointment with your dealership to have your system checked and corrected. Rebecca
  8. Unfortunately, since we haven't tested the S5 yet, I cannot confirm if it is fully compatible with SYNC or MFT. I was reading up on this last night, and someone else had a similar connection issue; he had to "disconnect" from his Google account and log out of Gmail. I'm assuming that "disconnecting his Google account" means he removed it from the ACCOUNT portion of his phone. If you have free time this weekend, give it a try. Rebecca
  9. My support is aware of this error message and they're working on it. I don't have an ETA for when it'll be resolved, but I'll let you know when it is. Rebecca
  10. Good morning, predapio and ls973800, We are sending reminder letters about the limited warrany extention (12M02) for SYNC with MyFord Touch systems. Rebecca
  11. Hi 70amcpwr, All your dealer has to do is reload the MyFord Touch software. It sounds to me like they loaded the non-navigation version on to your Edge. Let me know if you'd like me to escalate this to the customer service manager for your area. Rebecca
  12. akirby and ls973800, The A3 SD card came with version 3.0.2, v3.2.2 was a minor update that did not required a new SD card, and A4 came with v3.5.1. The A3 card was not compatible with 3.5.1, but it is backwards compatible with verson 3.6.2. We still have a supply of A3 cards and they're currently being mailed to customers. If you have a lost or stolen A3 or A4 card we'll mail an A3; if you'd like an A4 card, they can be purchased through your dealership. On our website, there was a disclaimer for customers with navigation prior to downloading version 3.5.1. This advised them to order a new SD card prior to updating MFT due to the A3 not being compatible. If you did not have a A4 card with v3.5.1, you could not use navigation. At that time, we were sending free A4 cards. Rebecca
  13. Hi Chris, Congrats on your new-to-you Edge and welcome to the board! If you have the A3 or A4 SD card, you are up-to-date; either one will work with MyFord Touch version 3.6.2. Before downloading the update and trying to load it, check your software version in your Edge by pressing the following: Gears > HELP ? > SYSTEM INFORMATION > CCPU S/W VERSION: x.xx.13171_PRODUCT If it matches the five digits in blue (above), you have the latest 3.6.2 version of MyFord Touch. Let me know if you have any questions! Rebecca
  14. Hi Travis Totten, Congrats on your new Edge! I'm not sure if the HTC One is fully compatible with the texting feature on SYNC; generally, if you get that error message, it is not. Have you tried rebooting your phone after the update, and do you know what kind of update it was? Sometimes after an update on your phone (depending on what your carrier updated), it can cause phones to no longer work as they did before. Rebecca
  15. If you've never been able to pair a phone, you may not have SYNC, but when you get your VIN, I'll check for you. Rebecca
  16. Congrats, PattiMac17! If you have any questions about MFT, don't hesitate to ask. Rebecca
  17. For your phone disconnecting, the only other suggestion I have is a master reset to SYNC, reboot of your S4, and re-pair them. Here are the instructions for the reset: http://support.ford.com/sync-technology/perform-master-reset-sync-myford-touch Back to your phonebook, do you have any Groups or Favorites saved in your phone? Let me know how it goes! Rebecca
  18. Hi Kyra23, Have you ever been able to pair a phone to your Edge? If you have, I suggest trying a master reset. Here's the link to the instructions: http://support.ford.com/sync-technology/perform-master-reset-sync If you have never been able to pair a phone, please send me your VIN in a private message so I can look at your vehicle information. Rebecca
  19. Hi Prinzll, After the update, did you delete your phone from SYNC and SYNC from your phone? Also, take a look at the tips located here: http://support.ford.com/sync-technology/troubleshooting-sync-myford-touch Do you have a Favorites list or Groups setup on your phone? If so, it may only be downloading those. If that's the case, you should be able to push the rest of your contacts via Bluetooth. Rebecca
  20. Awesome! Version 3.6.2 is the latest and greatest. If you have any questions about it, don't hesitate to ask. Rebecca
  21. Hi cbrescia, Since akirby and CinnamonEdge already answered your original question, I just want to throw in that you can also purchase a 12 month subscription to SYNC Services for turn-by-turn directions. It's only $60. Here's a link for more information: http://support.ford.com/topics/sync-technology-sync#topic-item-8 Let me know if you have any questions. Rebecca
  22. Is there anything I can answer for you, dummptyhummpty? Rebecca
