The hats on my rotors are slowly starting to rust, but I have 130K miles on them.

I change my transmission fluid about every six months or so.

Thank you everyone for your support. I have learned that not everyone appreciates what I do or how I make the videos. I will never please everyone. Just a fact. You folks are why I love this group.

My point was to test the half worn blizzaks against new Premiers. I love the Brand new Blizzaks, but people need to know that once you have worn half the tread off they become regular ole snow tires with limits.

If you watched the close up when I was pointing at the seam with the pen you will hear me explain that water gets into the seam and then the lug nut rusts and expands to the point that you can not get the tire wrench on it to remove it. This is an issue if you have a flat on the road and can not change the tire.

Might be the module.

If you go with the duralast it may very well be the last set of brakes you install on that Edge.

You both are smelling the exhaust entering the cabin.

What kind of fire extinguisher should I have in case of engine fire?
macbwt replied to neoweb's topic in Mods & Tech
If you have a car fire your best choice of fire extinguisher is a nitrogen or CO2 fire extinguisher. IF you use a dry powder chemical fire extinguisher you may as well just let it burn. The dry powder fire extinguishers have a highly corrosive powder and will destroy electronics. Plus it gets into everything including the engine and intake which will create all sorts of other issues. I carry a large CO2 and a small dry powder. The dry powder is a back up. -
Windshield Washer fluid not coming out

sort of like this. -
Mounted 4 new Michelin Premier LTX v rated 18' tires on Blueberry. Each tire was the same date code of 4117 which mildly surprised me and plus bonus pretty recently manufactured. I am hoping to do the snow test on them against the blizzaks and compare them along with comparing them to the Michelin Latitudes I ran against the blizzaks last winter. I have also purchased 4 brand new chrome clads to repair one wheel that was curbed by my wife. I will be removing the clad and resetting the new clad using silicone adhesive. Should be fun.

How well does the 221,000 mile Duratec start in -5 degree weather. Pretty well. Check out the cold operation via forscan lite.

Cold weather was rather hard on the aging Michelin Latitudes. Had one go flat and the others were just having issues with holding air. Combination of old rubber and cold temps. Had a yokohama YK580 installed for now (had it laying around the garage) Next week the new Michelin Premier LTX's will be delivered and installed. Then I can test traction in snow vs the blizzaks. Worn Blizzaks vs New Michelins. Wonder which will win.

IF your rear shocks are worn then may as well prepare for new front struts. You will appreciate the new ride.
