  1. There is another way (simular to what I've used on my 2009 MKX. I had a tire leaking and used to bring up tire pressures to kerp a eye on it.) Granted it's overkill in that it allows you to monitor everything the car is doing (so many aspects, engine, body, powertrain, etc.). (One I'm using is different but simular in fuctions, only bluetooth rather than wireless). https://www.amazon.com/dp/B077F8F6TB/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_2SQBJHV37C83Z9TZP68V?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 And a free app download to your cellphone. I use FORScan lite.
  2. In addition to what 1004ron said, it looks like the "flaps" are secured to the rear headrests with straps. But you wouldn't need to use them for the cover to cover 90% of the cargo area. Try slipping the rod end into the recesses and see if that's enough.
  3. Got ya. The should be the correct part. https://www.bluespringsfordparts.com/oem-parts/ford-door-check-at4z7823552a And on Amazon https://www.amazon.com/dp/B01G7X2YJI/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glt_fabc_YYGA25VMHGQ8SZTJXJ7V
  4. If your staye requires the front plate, its a no brainer. You can't drive without it anyway. If not, its a DAO (dealer installed opion). Like pin stripping or fabric protection. I'll bet its listed on the addendum sticker for $150.
  5. Only applies if the car is registered in that state.
  6. This is the easiest switch to install: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B001N729FS/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glc_fabc_R7XXE4WCEQ6P7E20DS1C or: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0793ZSJ39/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glc_fabc_AP5K5ZWZN0BSD206JRF2?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1 A more convenient soultion (but more difficult to install): https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08CVNKPKY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glc_fabc_AK70AE8CT00GWN4K5JPC
  7. You make it sound exactly as if the tires are over inflated (but your tires are at 35 psi, so that can't be it). Because it's speed sensitive (and torque sensitive (turns)), and service has checked everything else, I'd question the front wheel bearings.
  8. Check your antenna connection (both the antenna screwed in tightly, no corrosion, and interior cable connections, the one inside the upper console and behind radio).
  9. Are there any exterior LED lights near the garage? (Your Homelink opener is good, it's probably external interference).
  10. Forget aftermarket, spend a little extra and get OEM. https://www.levittownfordparts.com/part-ymm/2020-ford-edge-cargo-cover.html
  11. Don't know if that helped. What version of sync do you have?
  12. - Who did the maintenance? Per schedule? - How old is the battery? - How many miles on the tires? - Look at front floor for evidience of water? - Have a spare? Tire well clean? - Extended warranty? - BMAR open/close smoothly? - Radio working ok? Sirus? - Sync up to date? - Map software up to date? Once the problems for 2013 are addressed, good car! Discuss your URL then offer 5% under private sale blue book and buy an extended warranty from your dealer.
  13. Whoooo boy, I want one! lirpaloof https://fordauthority.com/2021/04/2022-ford-f-150-convertible-introduced-as-ultimate-open-air-4x4-vehicle/
  14. Are referring to a BT4Z-6B209-B? Have you tried from a Ford dealership in your country?
  15. Just to clarify, you're looking for a "door check assembly" and NOT a bottom hinge; correct ? Can you list your 2007 Edge's model, fwd/awd, engine to help identify. Have you considered removing the broken stud and reusing the existing door check? (You're going to have to remove it when installing a new check anyway).
  16. If your concerned about having open holes (abet 1/16" dia), consider drilling larger holes, 1/4" for example, in the back where they don't show, and covering with Gor Tex. The material prevents liquid water entry while allowing water vapor to pass. This could be accomplished with self-adhesive patches that are easy to apply. (The fix is to vent the interior water vapor to the atmosphere. It appears the existing vents are not functioning). https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07WTRDKMP/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_glc_fabc_88PT3ZZ5MJRFTQVYQXZ7
  17. Here: https://www.f150forum.com/f118/howto-downgrade-sync3-v3-0-back-ford-official-v2-2-build-17011-a-398097/
  18. I remember reading that new tires will sway at high speeds, until they break in. In a towing situation, others reported lowering tire pressure helped in a sway situation at high speeds. Could try dropping 5 psi and see if it improves.
  19. LEDs are not bulbs. They are chips soldered onto a circuit board or attached to a plastic backer (they're an integral part of an assembly and not replacable). The actual number of the LEDs used in these assembles are not known (other than to Ford and the supplier who's manufacturing them for Ford. Being a nonserviceable part, Ford doesn't release that information). Even if uou disassembled the lamp, you still wouldn't be able to identify the LED. All of the incandescent and high intensity discharge bulbs used are listed in the chart you posted. All other fixtures are non-replaceable LEDs.
  20. Been talked about here and in several other ford forums. It seems that even the factory authorized replacment units mist up. I have never had any problems with my MKX light bar, but - if it were me - I'd drill several tiny vent holes in the bottom of the fixture. It seems that the moisture gets in and, being nearly sealed, can't get out (or do they use some Gortex to vent?) Moisture is a pressure and the sealed lens unit lets it get in (as the interior is very dry, ( i.e. low pressure) but not really enough pressure differential for the moisture to force its self out. I would imagine that a few small holes should fix all that as there has to be a path for the moisture to equalize.
  21. Radar detector have been discussed here in the past. No doubt you chose a good one. Personally I use an Escort Passport Max 360c. Shows which direction the police beam is coming from (front, back, left, right), displays several radar lock-ons, frequency, beam strength and other stuff. Excellent false rejection filtering and auto memorizating of existing doors, etc. Also have the ability to show what other Escort owners are picking up on their units (units sends detections from any particating unit to the cloud and downloads to others. You see a map (like Google maps) of the area your driving in an where the cops are). Also updates database and firmware via wireless connection. (I also use a Mirrortap harness and Blend mount).
  22. No surround signal being received ? (Ok, I'm guessing). On my THX system, the surround stays locked on, but reverts back to stereo as I rarely play any surround sound DVD's. (If fact I only own a few disks. Too difficult to find, too expensive. But great sound in 96 kHz/24 bit).
  23. Sensor failure is somewhat common, so I'd recommend changing the sensors. But while he's got it apart, I think there are others more knowledgeable than me who would also recommend changing an additional part. (Let them chime in). I think your mechanic is being honest, but conservative. As the tranny wasn't maintained, other maintenance may have been neglected. To be safe, I'd recommend to change the coolant. (Very important). There's a new coolant being used by Ford and you'll need to do a flush as the 2008 used gold. I'd recommend switching to the new light green coolant. Note that not changing coolant on the 2008 has been linked to water pump failure. If you notice coolant low in the overflow reservoir, or the oil looking "milkly" on the dipstick, you may have a failed water pump. This would need immediate attention to prevent engine damage. Repair runs under couple grand. And spark plugs if you can't verify when they were changed last. (Old plugs have wider gaps, which draw more current to spark across, which create more heat. The additional heat will cause coil(s) failure and (possibly) ignition computer failure (if a coil shorts when it fails). (Very important). Dealer cost around $300. If yours is an All Wheel Drive, change the fluid. Your transmission mechanic can do this by pumping out the old and pumping in new. (Very important). Dealer cost around $90. All used cars require certain upkeep, and the Edge is a great car. Given care, there's no reason it couldn't see 300k.
  24. It also states that LED lamps are not serviceable. You can only replace the assembly and not change the LEDs (soldered on, not plugged in). (They are NOT regarded as bulbs).
