Has one experienced Condensation in the tail lamp and middle bar? Passed through a downpour on the highway and just noticed it.

Yes, a couple weekends ago when I washed my car at home I noticed there was water and condensation in the driver's side rear signal housing. I have an appt. on Tuesday to get this replaced/fixed. It is not acceptable to have this getting water/condensation inside, that will turn in to long term issues with the housing and for a $40K plus vehicle this should not be an issue!

I went in this past week, left my Edge for 2 days and it rained during this time. The tail light housing had no condensation during this time, I told them it was when I washed it at home after spraying it off. No luck getting it fixed yet... it's frustrating. I will take a pic next time it happens and take it in to them.

I am waiting for my 3rd tailight to be replaced due to moisture. Make sure they order the correct tailight because they are different for the Sport. Come on Ford, can't you make a sealed tailight for goodness sakes. Pretty sad!!

I handwash my car so I don't see this often. I did see it yesterday and I think it was because I used high pressure before the handwash to loosen some dirt. By the time I was done with wash, it had gone away. I was in the full sun. But it wasn't as nearly as 'bad' as yours. Just a few small spots.

Bossross.....How long does it take to go away? Was this after going through a high pressure car wash? Are you seeing and moisture buildup (actual water drops) inside the lens?

Hi WingNut - I also handwash mine and use high pressure to clean to loosen the dirt. It went away about 10-15 mins after I washed it and there are a few drops of water on the right side of the housing, can't see this on the pics I posted. The other side does not do this only the drivers side. Regardless it should not have condensation inside the housing, I've never seen this happen...

I also have moisture in the tail light and noticed it after using a high pressure spray. I noticed moisture in another Edge that I test drove before purchasing my own.

i just got my car and have not washed it yet, first time was on the highway through a downpour and i still get condensation even when the car is just sitting outside in the rain, only gods pressure washer and it still happens. So seems the water is getting in from somewhere.

I experienced it today, I had wash mine, with no pressure and it was a pretty hot day here in Hawaii, first time I noticed it. I can only think of the long term issues with the lights since there are exposed LEDs in the tails and moisture is sure to shorten their lifespan. By the time I got around to my phone a huge amount had already evaporated but it's the droplets inside that concern me the most!

every where you see on this pic that looks like a little cloud reflection is condensation

all in the silver part of the pic is all condensation not clouds

This must be a supplier issue at this point. So getting replacements may not fix the problem but at least put it on their radar.

Maybe they just need to pull the units & seal them properly. That would avoid a whole bunch of unnecessary parts wastage.

LOL. All the current parts they have in inventory will be sent to dealers/customers/parts places, etc. Unless you make noise, nothing will change.

Mine does not seem to be related to rain at all, same condensation cold morning or sunny noon.

I am laid up right now from surgery, but as soon as I can I will have mine back at the dealership. I want this fixed! The problem like Nick mentioned is the long term affects. The inside of the housings will end up fogged up all the time. I'll update once I can get the Edge back in. I took pics to give to the dealer since they didn't see it when it was there.

Sounds like an improper seal. They'll have to get it corrected by the supplier, then get new replacement parts.

Mine is a 1 1/2 weeks old with 700 miles on it. Washed it for the first time tonight and have the same condensation in the drivers side rear. Very frustrating

Is it possible that the interior of the lamp assembly was holding warm, moist air and when you hit the exterior lens with the cold water from the hose, caused the water vapor to condense on the interior (back) surface of the lens? (Assuming that the assembly was sufficiently sealed to prevent the moisture, once inside, from escaping).

Had the car been sited in a warm, humid location for any length of time?

I am waiting on my 3rd replacement. Pretty sad they can't make a sealed tail light. Will keep you posted on #3.
