  1. Yes - it pigtails in between the factory harness and head unit - no cutting. And you don't lose any of the head unit functionality including sync and voice commands and steering wheel controls.
  2. What I meant was if the dimmer switch was turned all the way down then it might appear that they were turning completely off. But if you've already checked the dimmer switch then something is wrong.
  3. Lots of bad batteries test ok under load but they're not really ok and end up having to be replaced.
  4. Sounds like the dimmer control for the dash lights is turned all the way down so it only appears they go off - they're just super dim. Turning on the wipers turns on the headlamps if using autolamps so there is no short. Try turning the dimmer control all the way up when the lights are on.
  5. Batteries die all the time from bad cells. It's not uncommon.
  6. Welcome! Just a tip - you'll get a lot better response to your posts if you use punctuation marks and a capital letter every now and then.....
  7. Just be glad you weren't here for the 2011 Edge/MFT launch! That got nasty.
  8. Scotchguard is fine - you just have to reapply it every 6 months or so as you would any water based product.
  9. I'm in Atlanta - plenty of 90+ days and we never close the shade on the vista roof even when parking outside. It's never been an issue.
  10. I agree they should have hard controls for frequently used functions but I don't think fan speed should be one of them when you have EATC. Use the steering wheel buttons to adjust the temp up or down as needed and you don't have to fiddle with the manual controls.
  11. A/Z plan is about 4% cheaper than X plan.
  12. I tried helium once but I couldn't keep the wheels on the ground.
  13. I prefer a Nitrogen/Oxygen blend (roughly 78% Nitrogen, 21% Oxygen).
  14. Here is a good thread on this over at BOF. Basically they're just ambulance chasers. Nothing to see here. http://www.blueovalforums.com/forums/index.php?/topic/53232-sudden-unintended-accelleration-now-offered-on-some-fords/
  15. I think it's inside the latch in the door. Try spraying it with WD-40.
  16. If you don't mind the cost it's hard to go wrong with Michelins.
  17. I agree if you turn it off it should stay off. I just tested my Fusion and it stays off. Have you tried disconnecting the battery to reset everything?
  18. If you have X plan then the only variable is rebates. I wouldn't expect the rebates to go down in the next 90 days but you never know for sure.
  19. Mine only goes off when it needs to go off. I only get a false alarm when there is a line of cars waiting to turn left at an intersection and the road turns back to the right sharply. If yours is going off a lot you're either following too closely or the sensor is malfunctioning.
  20. No. If your tank is 18 gallons and has a 1.8 gallon reserve then after you've used 16.2 gallons the fuel gauge will read empty and it will say 0 miles to empty. At that point you still have 1.8 gallons left.
