  1. If you have a clear video showing the problem & cluster with the wrench warning, I'd suggest you contact the Ford service representative whose on this site perhaps they'd be able to escalate your case to get it resolved. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/13821-official-ford-service-representative/
  2. The SE never comes with leather seats. It seems a previous owner installed leather seat covers & that's why you can't see the button to lower the center seat back (arm rest).
  3. I believe each model series has a different serial sequence. SE, SEL, Titanium & Sport. Maybe even FWD & AWD are also different since each has a different order code.
  4. This file is not supposed to be unzipped. It should be kept as is in its folder in the root of your flash drive. Do your have the MyFord Touch or basic Sync? If it is MyFord Touch, it is covered by an extended warranty for 5 years from first date of purchase regardless of mileage.
  5. I'd guess the module for the memory seat requires reprogramming or replacement. I had an issue with the power steering not remembering it's reach position & was fixed by the dealer by reprogramming the module.
  6. You can do it yourself. It is just like any bulb, except the base of the bulb is BIG as it includes an additional part (I think the igniter). Although the owners manual states to change it at the dealer, it is doable. It is a tight fit, make sure the bulb is seated correctly & that the wire connector is fully seated in. The bulbs rotates a quarter turn to remove/insert. Make sure the lights are off as it is a high voltage circuit.
  7. "Performed clear keep alive memory (KAM), clear adaptive learning information. Performed solenoid body strategy drive cycle." This achieved by simply disconnecting the battery for a while. "Reprogrammed PCM". must be the real fix.
  8. No need to go through the hard book, just download a PDF version from Ford directly: https://owner.ford.com/tools/account/how-tos/owner-manuals.html
  9. @jmr061 has a mod to disable it on some newer Ford models at his website, http://www.fordpimods.com/double-horn-honk.html Have a chat with him, he might be able to do it for the Edge.
  10. Those are the "Second row comfort guides". From the owners manual:
  11. If I remember correctly, the Edge with keyless start comes with the 65 battery. So I think you'll be fine with that size.
  12. I am not aware of the mirror clips coming separately. You'll have to get the whole mirror. See this parts diagram which shows that there is no separate part for it. http://www.tascaparts.com/auto-parts/2013/ford/edge/limited-trim/3-5l-v6-gas-engine/body-cat/outside-mirrors-scat You'll probably be able to find a good used one on ebay. Make sure it looks like yours (2011 & some 2012 models have a different larger mirror) and make sure it has the same features as yours (heated, memory and/or dimming). Replacing it is a simple procedure.
  13. Do you know what did the dealer do to get it to function?
  14. The part number is the same from 2007 to 2014, so the procedure should nearly be the same. I'd like to know if it requires removing the door panel & glass or it can just be removed directly. Also, does it require some sort of sealant when installing the new one. Guess what I am trying to say, is it easy enough to do it myself or should I take it to the dealer.
  15. Mac, did you try to swap the batteries & repeat the test? Just to be on the safe side? Also, did you reset that battery monitor thing since the last time you disconnected the battery on the affected Edge? Just some thoughts..
  16. I need help in the correct procedure for removing & installing the driver's door window run channel. It seems that there should be some adhesive applied, but not sure. This is the part I mean (number 3 in the diagram): http://www.tascaparts.com/oe-ford/9t4z7821597b
  17. The 2.7L was designed for duty in the heavier F-150 that can tow much more than its weight! The transmission/PTU in the Edge Sport has long been used with the more powerful 3.5L Ecoboost engine in the heavier Flex Ecoboost since 2010. I wouldn't worry about their durability in the Edge Sport!
  18. I tried, they didn't want & couldn't research it more. Maybe you'll get better results. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/14777-wiring-for-paddle-shifters-sport-non-sport/?fromsearch=1
  19. As you said, it depends on the outside temperature reading. I don't know the outside tempreture values upon which the seats cool or heat. But searching online found this, for other Fords, though it might not be applicable to other models: From the 2011 Ford HD trucks:
  20. Also, the PTU is covered by the powertrain warranty which is good for 5 years or 60k miles.
  21. I didn't have them on at the time, and yes, the driver's HID was taken out recently. Thanks for pointing that out, I'll try to re-seat it.
  22. If you look at the 2011-2015 Owners manual of the MKX, it shows the difference in light pattern between Halogen & HID. In the 2015 Edge Owners Manual there is only 1 pattern shown and it is similar to the Halogen pattern in the MKX. For color & that bluish line, don't take my photos as a guide due to the cellphone camera I am using, the bluish line/cutoff is there. I have a 2011 MKX with factory HID.
  23. On the topic of HID light pattern, it seems Ford is using a different projector on the MKX (maybe other Lincolns also) versus Ford vehicles. On Ford (seen it on the Explorer, Edge & Mustang), the HID pattern looks like a Halogens pattern only brighter, on the MKX it has a clear cutoff with the right side going up. The light on the MKX also shines considerably wider on the road. I recently rented a Nissan Altima with HID & it also had a similar pattern as the MKX. This is the pattern from my OEM HID lights (sorry for the low quality pictures):
  24. I know I am late to this, but OP did not mention trying the other key fob! Shouldn't replacement of the key fob battery be the 1st thing to try?
  25. The MFT screen should allow changing of the user defined code. From my experience, if you selected to erase the user defined code on the MFT screen, you won't be able to enter a new user defined code. I don't remember exactly how I was then able to get it back, but I think it was after a Master Reset that MFT allowed me to enter the code again. The same "bug" is also present on the 2015 Expedition with MFT (tried it with version V3.7 installed).
