  1. Cooling fan or fan module failing? They are sold an assembly.
  2. For information, the Explorer's Panoramic Sunroof allows for the sunroof to open with the shade only partially open (rear seats remain under the shade). Granted, the Explorer's portion of the roof that opens is sized similar to normal sunroof & it open between the rear glass panel & headliner. The Edge on the other hand has the larger portion that opens & it opens to above the roof.
  3. Yes, Sync 3 is a real improvement, but for those who really care. MyFord Touch has been stable in it last version. BUT, if your the kind of person might have regrets after a purchase, then better wait for Sync 3. You will not be able to upgrade to it later. Also, don't forget that MyFord Touch probably reached the end of it life. There hasn't been any updates for nearly 1 year, while Sync 3 is just starting and it will definitely get better with updates. Sync 3 is also expected to add Android Auto & Apple CarPlay.
  4. There was a TSB for this to replace the sensor. TSB 11-11-12 for Uncomanded wipe.
  5. All 2011-2014 Edge Sport had the same 3.7L V6 engine. The Ecoboost 2.0 was offered as an option on the SEL & Limited models only (maybe also the SE, not sure).
  6. 34 psi when warm is low. The warmer the air gets, the higher the tire pressure becomes, so when cold your tire pressure will go even below 34 psi.
  7. Tooth paste is sometimes used to remove scratches from plastic displays, so you might want to try that.
  8. My opinion is the opposite, a fully loaded Edge Sport (AWD, 401A, Adaptive Cruise, Vista roof...etc) is for around $45K, while an MKX with the 2.7, AWD, 102A, Adaptive Cruise, Technology Package...etc, (to get the same equipment level of a loaded Edge Sport), costs ~$54K, though you get a little more with that MKX. A loaded MKX tops $63K! There is about $9K difference between the Edge Sport & MKX. Prices are from the build & price sites of both cars.
  9. Don't know your source for the Sync3 rollout, but it is now outdated as it was already announced back in June that Sync 3 will be on the 2016 F-150. So it might change for other models also.
  10. Does it come in only 1 color for Sport & non-Sport? Or are there different Part Numbers for other colors?
  11. So I finally removed the back of the seat backs of my 2011 MKX to check the cooling/heating function & what a surprise (unpleasant) I found. The driver's seat, for which I use the cooling function routinely, is missing what seems like a heat sink made up of 2 joined metal plates. Also there is clear burn marks on the seat foam. You can see both the driver & passenger seats & the metal plates on the passenger seat as well as the seat foam burn which is only on the driver seat, the cooling/heating function of the passenger seat is rarely used. Note: the seat back does have it own cooling/heating module separate from the seat bottom which can also be seen in the photos. Driver Seat: Passenger Seat with the metal plates: Burn marks on the driver seat foam: Vehicle is now at the dealer for service & to look at this.
  12. From the owners manual, all interior lights are LEDs, are they white or yellow LEDs? Thanks.
  13. During the 1st gen 2007-2010, the 2010 Edge received improvements to the drivetrain & aerodynamics (I think mainly the transmission) that yielded improved Fuel Economy. Officially, FWD models got 1 mpg in both city/highway & AWD got 1 mpg highway and 2 MPG city more compared to the 2009 model. For the reduced power ratings (2015 vs. 2011-2014), my guess is that's due emissions and/or packaging. Even the 3.7L in the 2016 MKX and 2015 Mustang have lower outputs compared to previous models. Also note that the same 3.5L in the Edge is rated 290hp in the 2011-2016 Explorer, 288hp in the 2013-2015 Taurus & 287hp in the 2013-2015 Flex.
  14. Checking the window sticker for the VIN in your attached image, it has "SYNC W/MYLINCOLN TOUCH" which is Sync 2 not the newer system.
  15. OP, what do you mean won't stay open? Does it power open then falls down meaning it can't hold its weight up? or does the power reverse & it closes (by electric power) after opening? If its the 1st, the struts are probably the reason. Even if you replaced them the new ones might be defective. If it is the 2nd, then it either needs resetting or due to some other electrical problem. From the Owners Manual: And:
  16. Additional info from Ford when they announced the Ti-VCT: http://www.at.ford.com/news/publications/publications/ti_vct_engine_technology_fs.pdf
  17. I wouldn't recommend that since the same bulb is used for DRL & High Beams. The 9005 is a single filament bulb, usually, to get the DRL function, the bulb would run at reduced voltage so to get the LED to work, you might need some kind of module (example) to get it running correctly. Also, note that you might end up with a very bright DRL (too bright), or you high beams will become less bright compared to stock.
  18. If your going for a performance crossover, then the 2015 Edge Sport is better without contest. Otherwise, they are very close that it is better you test drive both & choose what suits you better. Take them for a long test drive, not just around the block.
  19. 2007-2010 had variable timing on the intake camshafts only (fixed exhaust camshaft), 2011+ added Twin independent variable camshaft timing (Ti-VCT) which means that the timing of both intake & exhaust camshafts can be varied, independently .
  20. Attached is the latest Technical Service Bulletin. It involves a special tool to clean the door latch with it removed from the door. Best to keep your receipts in case in the future you might get refunded if it becomes a recall or gets an extended warranty. TSB 14-0224 - TSB 14-0011 Door Ajar Lamp Remains Illuminated With Doors Closed.pdf
  21. Brakes is probably a failing booster. Your car should have an extended warranty on it. For the remote start, try disconnecting the butterfly ~10 minutes and see it resets it. Also make sure the feature is enabled in the settings of the left cluster screen.
  22. OP has factory equipped HID lights. So it's not the same setup as yours. Edit: Just noticed in your photos, you shouldn't touch the glass part of halogen bulbs as the oil from your hand could cause the bulb to break the next time the headlamps are operated.
  23. It would be easier to try to tune it like a 2016 MKX as it should be using the exact same engine/drivetrain but tuned to 335HP & 380lbs-ft.
