  1. For a black Edge, I suggest the 20" wheels as I think the polished wheels would look better on an all black car, plus as others pointed out, cheaper upfront, better ride (even if slightly), and cheaper tire replacements.
  2. Version 3.8 has been working fine for most people. Your issue is not normal. I suggest you try a Master Reset & battery pull. If you still face the same issues, then it probably is a hardware issue. APIM replacement might be required, which is covered by the extended warranty.
  3. With enough resources & time, it should be possible. But it would probably (actually, definitely) not cost effective. Especially for the 1st generation (2007-2010). If it was a simple add on or replacement, Ford would have added it to the 2016 Explorer refresh.
  4. I know it has been nearly a year, but I just saw this & thought it might be relevant if the issue is still not resolved:
  5. Those images reminded me of one difference in projectors for HID & Halogen lamps. Notice the slight light glare above the cutoff line? This is intentional on Halogen projectors meant for some light to bleed upwards to illuminate road signs, especially overhead. When an HID light is retrofitted in a halogen projector, this "bleed" becomes much more (HID is ~2X brighter than Halogen). Some retrofitters covered these holes, also referred by some as squirrel finders.
  6. I think what the OP is asking for is part of the spoiler as per the diagram.
  7. I remember it was always like this, whenever the phone is connected, the audio from my HTC does not come over it's speakers, which is annoying, since I don't stream Bluetooth audio I just disable it from the phone to get notifications from the phone's speakers. You can also check google Maps' navigation settings. There is a setting to Play voice over Bluetooth added not long ago, uncheck it & try. Also the volume can be adjusted there.
  8. Did you report the install of V3.6.2? if not, try that first.
  9. This is for the Escape. The Edge uses a different AWD system, AFAIK. Though that is mostly true, the Edge does have software enabled torque vectoring. Braking one side to shift power to the other side. You can see as standard under Power & Handling . http://www.ford.com/crossovers/edge/compare-models/?models=titanium|sport
  10. I didn't try the new Edge, but on my MKX also with a touch sensor, though it looks like a button, I have no problem distinguishing the sound of the doors being locked. Also the hazard lights will flash once to confirm that the car got locked. Don't the 2015 flashers flash also? For the Lexus (and Nissan), their is also a beep sound (not the horn) to confirm the lock process. Though useful, I imagine where it would also be annoying for some. They do 2 beeps for unlock & 1 beep for lock (or the other, don't remember exactly). Also, since we are at it anyway, the Lexus (and Toyota since I tried a 2007 Avalon when new) would turn on the interior lights & puddle lamps when approaching the vehicle, kind off like the welcome feature that Lincoln is now advertising as a "Lincoln" feature on their newer models. On the other hand, Lexus'/Toyota's intelligent system will NOT allow you to lock the car with Engine running from the outside. So each system has their advantages & disadvantages.
  11. FYI, newer Lexus' are now similar to the new Edge where you touch a ribbed area on the top side of handle to lock the door. There is no more a physical button.
  12. Update, now 2 more times the screen brightness reverted after the system "Restart" thing. It took about 21 hours of drive time for the reset to occur. Will try to get a video next time to show the brightness change. The ambient lights, ringer & text notification all remained as selected, so that's good.
  13. As per the Build site, yes. But the 2016 order guide clearly showed it as a new standard feature on the Sport.
  14. enigma-2, in my opinion you should be fine since the MKX has projectors for the low beams.
  15. Did you try to update MFT to the latest V3.8? For me it has been fixed since V3.7 & is still fixed in V3.8.
  16. @engma-2, I didn't notice that there was additional glare in the Taurus, the headlight already had a cover inside it that covered the bulb. From the outside you couldn't see the bulb. For the Edge (2011+), since they have projector headlights, don't think it matters. Also, some Fords with projectors came from the factory with 9005 bulbs that also doesn't have the blacked out tip.
  17. Without knowing the make of the remote starter it will be difficult to diagnose. You can check under the instrument panel on the driver's side for a module that might indicate the make of the starter. Also, do you have the door ajar issue? Where the vehicle still thinks the door is open? Or the "Shift to Park" issue? Where the Vehicle thinks your not in park. Both issues would probably affect the remote starter.
  18. @Picturepro No need to wait for summer. Set the climate control to hear, maybe around 75 & make sure the air ducts are not directing air directly to the seats, turn on the A/C seats, then measure the seat temperature after a long drive. compare the temp reading to something that is not cooled, like the headrest or seat sides. Again, note that the seat back cooling is very minor & difficult to feel.
  19. +1 Brucifer Did the new issue come immediately after changing the plugs? If yes, maybe you didn't connect everything back correctly (hoses and wires). Double check to make sure.
  20. Don`t know if it would be related (at least shouldn't be), my 2011 MKX is Kona Blue, basically a dark blue or Navy blue. The problem is its one of the weakest paints I've encountered. Don't know if that is correct term to use, but it is easily scratched. And any ding by any other car (door) will always cause my car to scratch & the blue color to transfer to the other car.
  21. If you are getting the warnings at longer distances than specified in the manual, you should get them checked by you dealer. Perhaps a reprogram might be needed.
  22. As per the owner's manual, it will only blink if you turn on the blinker while the BLIS is detecting a vehicle. 2011-2014 model, BLIS did not blink with the signal, so it is an improvement.
  23. TheWizard, +1 I did the same mod to my old Taurus. The difference was noticeable. Brighter & whiter light, though their life was about 12-18 months for me. Keep a spare in the vehicle.
  24. @WWWPerfA_ZN0W, Would you have a PDF or complete version? Was taking a look at the throttle body if it needs cleaning & found a lot of oil in the intake tube.
  25. From my own experience, the ATP carbon filter is much more restrictive than the factory filter. In hot climate, for me at least, it makes a big difference with cooling. The stock Motorcraft filter will allow much better air flow & cooling of the interior with the A/C. I wrote my experience in posts 6 & 9 here.
