    engine cover

I can confirm that for the 2011, both pieces are made of foam. I would also think they're for sound as they are pretty thick.
  2. Congrats, very nice ride. Hope you enjoy it to the fullest.
  3. Sport mode is simply a program with some different parameters like allowing the tranny to hold gear more (shift at a higher RPM). There has never been any mention that it might have any adverse affect nor would Ford have added the feature if it did.

    engine cover

Don't have a real answer, but the 2011+ engine is not exactly the same,so not sure if the cover would mount. Note that for the 2011+ the engine cover is actually 2 pieces. You'd probably be better going for the MKX cover (2007-2010).
  5. Older generation (2007-2014) Edge/MKX had the low fuel light first come on at exactly 80 km to empty, then at 40km, then at 20km & finally at 0. (Not sure of miles since I use metric but probably 50, 25 & 12 miles). Also, whenever the car is restarted with less than 80km to empty the low fuel warning would come on. The same behavior was also in the 2008 Taurus I had & on a friend's 2013 Explorer.
  6. The Edge already has it in the left cluster display, should be under driver assist.
  7. As far as I know, the CD4 did not come from the Mondeo, it was a new global Ford platform and the 2013 Fusion was launched more than a year before the Mondeo using the CD4 platform.
  8. You could retrofit the LED headlights to halogen equipped F150. http://www.stage3motorsports.com/RAPR-15LED-2015-F150-Raptor-Retrofit-OEM-LED-Replacement-Headlights.html http://www.f150forum.com/f118/2015-f-150-halogen-oem-led-headlight-conversion-raptor-retrofits-w-pictures-306244/
  9. This is not a maintenance item, so it might be leaking & hence why they told you to change it. Check it as soon as possible, if there is no problems with it, then it is time for a different service department as suggested by akirby.
  10. Ford PI Mods has a way to disable the double horn honk on several Fords, including the 2016 MKX, maybe you try with him. By they way, he is a member on this forum also, @jmr061.
  11. Try to contact the official Ford IVT representative here on the forum & explain your issue. I guess it would really help if you have evidence of reporting the same issue while your car was still under warranty.
  12. Why didn't you just try with a dealer to program the DRL? It's a simple program by dealer.
  13. Try another Edge Sport at the dealership just to make it's not something particular to your car.
  14. Just noticed that you found it. Also found another one, might be useful. TSB 07-16-11.pdf TSB 07-25-4.pdf
  15. I remember reading something similar from another member & it seems he required some reprogramming at the dealer to get it working properly. What's stated in the manual is how it's supposed to work, if not, the dealer should fix it.
  16. The 2016 Edge Sport got the adaptive steering. So it is a bit different than the 2015.
  17. Try the Key fob battery first. I believe what was meant earlier in the post is that if the Car's battery is old, it might affect a lot of the electronics in the car, so it would be a good idea to change it since it would require changing anyway (4-5 years old) and this way you'd at least know it is not the reason for electronics going haywire. The attached TSB might also be related. TSB 11-4-14_Inability to unlock.pdf
  18. You don't need no-xenon. It seems that the offered product is directly marketed for the Edge & it is a 9012 bulb as stated in the titles, then I'd guess it is then a single bulb but marketed as no-xenon since you'll eventually get low & high beam xenon.
  19. Not yet. Support for Android Auto & Apple carplay are supped to come soon in new cars & as an update to current Sync 3. No exact time given as as I know.
  20. Trying to get this to work, anyone can help with diagrams for component locations for the 2011-2014 Edge/MKX? specifically in the dash area, something like this for the Explorer?
  21. This is correct, single bulb with single filament, shutter moves to create low/high beams (that's for 2011-2014 Edge & 2011-2015 MKX).
  22. Yes Bob, I did understand your point and that some features might need a software programming which I also agree with, I was just trying to state that even though a transmission feature would seem more likely to require re-programming (being more complex than DRL or Cruise Control), It was proved in other Ford products that sometimes (not always) simple plug & play will work. Though, unfortunately, it did not work for me (yet).
  23. The 3.5L & 3.7L Engines are rated the same when installed in the Edge/MKX with the 6F50 tranny and when installed in the 2011+ F150/Mustang. So there doesn't seem to be any de-tuning of the 3.5L/3.7L Engine when installed with the 6F50 tranny.
  24. The TSB was for vehicles built before 1/1/2008. OP's Edge is a 2011.
  25. Bob, some features do require software programming, but some don't. On the 2011+ Explorer, those without a factory towing package don't have the tow/haul mode/button for the transmission. Simply replacing the switch with one that has the button will enable the feature, this I saw personally on a Friend's 2013 Explorer that didn't have the feature from factory.. I have also read about a Focus owner who added SelectShift to his car by replacing the shifter assembly with one that has it. Also, for the 2011-2015 Edge, the +/- buttons are already on the shifter & they work, so the programming is definitely there, it is most probably a wiring thing to connect the paddle shifters so they'd work.
