  1. As per the owners manual, the headlight replacement bulb for the 2013 Edge is HIR2, also referred to as 9012. This should be without a cover at the tip of the bulb. (Example) It is a single filament bulb, but the projector in the Edge has a moving part/shield that allows high/low beam function from the same bulb. My guess is that the replacement bulb you got is a 9006, which is very similar to the HIR2 with slight differences and can be installed in the same housing. The 9006 has a cover at the tip of the bulb is inferior to the HIR2 (less output).
  2. @Vortechtral Can post the bulb numbers? old & new? You probable got a different bulb, even if they look the same (9006 vs. 9005 or H11 vs. H9) Also what year is your Edge/MKX? I don't recall any year the Edge/MKX had a dual beam headlight bulb.
  3. don't forget to give a review after installing it. How much was it for it?
  4. It was repaired. Thank God since I just had them installed in July. They used an umbrella looking patch that is installed from inside the tire. 3 days now & seems fine.
  5. Got a puncture (screw), thankfully air leak was slow & I didn't have to use the spare. While repairing it, had all wheels balanced (road force), and I found some interesting (not good) things!! Puncture: Screw: Front Right Spring insulator: Left Spring insulator for comparison: Rear Left brake: Rear Right brake for comparison:
  6. They tried to fix this on my MKX, it is ~80% better. Still some slight smell is present, though not nearly as bad as before & I might be confusing it for outside air since the TSB involves reprogramming of the Climate Control possibly to turn off recirculation during hard acceleration. But when I tried to glance through the paper work, it seems they applied a newer TSB (starts with 15-XXXX) and it also involved replacing the exhaust tips with a newer version that has the exhaust gas outlet exiting downwards but with the chrome "oval" tip still looking the same. It is now a truly fake exhaust tip. Note: I recently saw a 2015 MKX in a showroom & it still had the old type exhaust tip, so this TSB might be very new & not in production vehicle.
  7. It is called a bug deflector or bug shield. The 2011+ model will not fit the 2007-2010 models because the hood is different. Ebay has a few offerings (here is an OEM)
  8. Already offered on the Focus & Feista ST. http://www.autoblog.com/2014/12/27/ford-racing-ecoboost-reflash-warranty/
  9. As far as I know, this part has to be ordered & would not be readily available (a newer version with a physical button, so not the same p/n). You can go used or try LevittownFordSuperCenter to get a new one.
  10. For wipers, don't go with frameless wipers. My experience with them, the driver's side will not wipe properly at the top of the windshield, seems that it is curved a little too much for frameless wipers to accommodate. Regular or hybrid wipers are much better.
  11. Like what was said earlier, it will reset it itself, but it might take a couple of minutes driving above ~20mph. From the Owners Manual:
  12. I think you should also take into consideration if the vehicles have or do not have the vista sunroof.
  13. Drpepper, MFT/MLT DOES reboot every once in a while. Don't know the interval, but it does. Another telltale, press the settings button (gear icon) & select anything other than clock then press the home button. The next time you press the settings icon it will take you directly to the settings page of what you last selected. When the system resets, pressing the settings icon will take you to the clock settings instead (the default settings tab). Ambient lights are NOT supposed to reset. That's what the TSB was for. For the other settings, as I said earlier, most people don't notice the change & hence not enough complaints. Also, from the way Ford has handled this MFT/MLT issue from the beginning, it doesn't seem they care anymore unless they get many complaints. Also, 3.7 has the fix for the ambient lights, but not the other resetting settings. Here is one guy with an MKT who had the same issue as yours, even the TSB did not fix his ambient lights, turned out to be a weak battery. I also got confirmation from friend & his '13 Explorer Limited with V3.7 also reset the ringer/messages settings after some time from setting it to something other than default.
  14. There is a TSB (posted here) for the ambient lighting that should normally repair the ambient lights resetting issue. Since it involves software updating on the APIM (MyFord Touch) it is included in the 5 year extended warranty. You should be able to get both your cars programmed by a dealer. Drpepper's issue is that even with this update he is still getting the problem.
  15. Confirm that that the reverse lights are working when the camera is not just to make sure it is not something else. Both are supposed to get the same signal of when run.
  16. Like what akirby stated, the climate indications would be on the left lower corner (the blue bar), only the temperature settings & heated/cooled seats show up on a permanent basis (if they are on), the fan speed indication would show for a few seconds if it was changed. There is no overlay that popups. If you are on the home screen, the blue bar would only show "Climate" & settings would be visible on the screen quarter above it (lower left quarter). Again, no overlays or popups on changes.
  17. From the several complaints regarding the rear camera, they all point to a faulty camera not the APIM & hence not covered by the extended warranty "12M02".
  18. drpepper, I have 3.7 installed on my 2011 MKX (don't ask how or why! seems our dealer mistakenly installed it on some pre-2014 models), I don't have the ambient light reset issue, BUT the phone & messages ringers and display brightness settings do reset from time to time. never calculated the time interval though. The thing is that most (99%?) of owners don't change the default settings for the ringers & display & hence will never face the issue. I am trying with a friend to report if his '13 Explorer Limited does the same & will report back with an update.
  19. Since your out of warranty, you won't get anywhere except to repair it on your cost. What you could do, is keep the receipt & file a complaint. Maybe if a future recall or repair campaign comes up you'd be able to get a reimbursement. But looking at how (in)frequent this issue is compared to other things, it is unlikely that such a campaign will come.
  20. I would definitely be upset unless I get a good discount for the miles.
  21. An Edge with the Sony system does have a different panel than that without it. You'll have to find one that looks similar to yours. Here is one with the Sony system on ebay: http://www.ebay.com/itm/GENUINE-FORD-EDGE-OEM-RADIO-PANEL-ASSEMBLY-BT4T-18A802-CE-BB5T-18A802-C-/131588825869?hash=item1ea34e230d&vxp=mtr
  22. How far out of warranty is your car? Have you ever complained about it during the warranty period? Sometimes Ford makes goodwill repairs if warranty just expired. Try contacting the Ford rep in the forum for assistance.
  23. If you mean by "Dial" the head light switch, this would not mean that you have Auto High beams. The Auto position mean auto headlights that turn on & off based on outside lighting.
