  1. SSM 47576 – 2015-2018 Edge – 2.0L EcoBoost – Rattle Noise And Cracked Flexplate Some 2015-2018 Edge vehicles equipped with a 2.0L EcoBoost engine may exhibit a rattle noise at idle. This may be due to a flexplate crack around the crankshaft. To resolve this concern, verify that the flexplate is cracked around the crankshaft using the inspection plate and a mirror. If the flexplate is cracked, replace the transmission fluid pump, flexplate, flexplate bolts and torque converter. Refer to Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 303-01A and 307-01. When replacing the torque converter, ensure that the torque converter pilot hub is lubricated with Multi-Purpose Grease XL-5-A (ESB-M1C930- prior to reassembly. For claiming, use causal part 6375 and applicable labor operations in Section 06 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual. APPLICABLE VEHICLES 2015 – 2018 CAR: DQ CD539N EDGE Source
  2. Most US Ford vehicles use 315 MHz. Export models might use different frequencies. For Example, the US Edge uses 315 MHz while the GCC Edge from about 2013 uses 433 MHz. You can check on http://etis.ford.com for your vehicle what is the frequency you Ford uses.
  3. Do you have a charger (phone, USB, detector...etc.) plugged in inside the car? They could interfere with the signal.
  4. Looks like the Continental uses different Paddle shifters.
  5. Congratulations on the new ride. You'll a lot of useful information in this forum and very helpful members.
  6. As far as I know, the 22" wheel do not have the cladding. If you want to check, tap on them slightly with a metal object, you'll know if the surface is aluminum or metal.
  7. Wouldn't the screws leave marks in the original plastic paddles in case you decided to remove the extensions?
  8. That's the first I heard of such a failure, but it is cheaper than that. https://www.ebay.com/itm/283057930124
  9. I noticed that there has been no mention of Adaptive Steering. Even in the reviews & pictures, the steering wheel looks to be the standard wheel (with a pass through in the bottom spoke). Seems like they are not offering it anymore on the Edge. Active Noise Control has been in the Edge Sport since 2015. If you drove the 2017 Sport, then you have already experienced it.
  10. Same here with my 2016 Sport. I was thinking it was from the pedal sticking to my shoe, but reading your comment, it does happen at cold starts at low speeds.
  11. The adjustable height liftagate feature was only added in the 2015+ Edge. Prior models had a fixed height liftgate,
  12. I think Ford's decision to use the ST badge was not correct. Reviews on the Fiesta ST & Focus ST always had high complements on their handling & "fun to drive" factors despite their reasonable pricing compared to more expensive offerings. Guess every was hoping Ford would do the same thing with the ST badged Edge, make it as sporty & fund to drive as more expensive crossovers. The thing is that other manufacturers started using "Sport" names for lesser trim levels, so maybe Ford was pressured into using the ST badge to justify its premium price over the titanium. And not offering the 2.7TT on the Titanium is due to the Nautilus! Ford should figure it out soon before losing more!
  13. Generally, Gen 1 & 1.5 (2007-2010 & 2011-2014) Edge's HVAC system, in my opinion, have a weak blower design. A lot of other cars have a noticeably stronger blowers which you can feel, even the 2015+ model is much better. With that said, did you replace the cabin air filter recently? If not, it will help considerably. Also, consider going OEM (Motorcraft) as from my personal experience it will give better airflow than other aftermarket (at least from what I have tried).
  14. Check the parts diagram in this link. Might help you pinpoint it.
  15. 2009 uses the old type regular drain plug. https://www.tascaparts.com/oem-parts/ford-drain-plug-9l8z6730a The gasket for the plug also comes seperately: https://www.tascaparts.com/oem-parts/ford-drain-plug-gasket-f75z6734aa
  16. I noticed that the ST's interior also has black pillars & roof. The Sport had a light color off-white or tan (not sure what it is called), which in my opinion is better than all black.
  17. The electric motor is still there, if you close the hatch manually it will take last part & close the hatch.
  18. At ~10:33 it shows the tire pressure, and they are at 38-39 psi, don't know why that high, but they definitely don't help the ride. Also at around 10:40, there is a boost gauge!
  19. This might be the 1st video review:
  20. Welcome. Just the other day I saw this video on the effect of bigger tires:
