The adaptive steering is about changing the steering ratio, not effort. To check its operation, my own test, check while parked how many turns the steering wheel takes from lock to lock (extreme left to extreme right, or the other way), with the adaptive steering it is approximately 2 turns. Normal vehicle without adaptive steering require 2.5 to 3 turns.

Really Dead Battery after 24 hours
omar302 replied to cameracarl's topic in 2015+ Edge & MKX Generation II
If you leave the door open, the battery saver would kick in. The only things I believe you can leave on & drain the battery are the Hazard lights (flashers) and parking lights (not the headlight). Another thing I'd suggest to check are the battery terminals, make sure the connectors tight. -
The MKX (Nautilus) already has a digital cluster, the same one used on the MKZ & Explorer Platinum. The problem with Ford is Lincoln. They always hold back features to make Lincolns have more features. The EU Edge (and Fusion, aka Minded) have the digital cluster, but not in US. In Europe there is no Lincoln.

On my 2011 MKX I was able to read the individual tire pressures & temperatures using ForScan. The data came from the TPMS sensors. It is just like what akirby stated, Ford, for whatever reason, decided not show that data. Even on the some Fusion models that did NOT have individual pressure readings, a ABD enabled the display in the cluster with no other hardware change.

How old is your Edge's battery? It could have gone bad.

Your comment regarding the seat bolstering is interesting, what trim was it?

As far as I remember, it is as per Jason's statement: 2015 Edge had MFT 2016 Edge had Sync 3 from the beginning (for US / non-export) Export 2016 Edge (EU / Middle East, I'm sure of) had MFT. 2016 MKX started with MFT then later builds came with Sync 3.

Yes the Get 1.5 Sport didn't get any other wheel option, but the brakes were similar to non-Sport models (maybe except for FWD SE models).
-
They are kinda pricey to keep them just in case. The price most probably reflects each ($37).
-
I am not sure of the 2013 specifically, but I have seen here Get 1.5 Edge (2011-2014) SELs with the small 4" screen and a back up camera. It might be a non-US thing, but it should at least mean that it is possible.

Congratulations. Also among the differences is you have the option to get LED headlights with LED DRL & Front Signal flashers (like the 17+ Fusion). I'd like to know, do you have rear fog lights? If yes, what illuminates at the back for the fog light?

Really, many times small scratches are not noticed by the driver. The person who scratched your car might not have even realized what they did thinking their car barely passed without any harm.

Yes, I know how they need to be persuaded, but apparently they now have a new technical team & it is becoming harder to convince them. It like they just don't want to acknowledge that a customer might understand some thing related to his vehicle. I told them that they should contact Ford & explain that even after applying their TSB 16-2054 the customer is still complaining of the issue & to ask what they should do next. I got the attached screenshot from them regarding the aforementioned TSB.

What is your previous or other vehicle? The 2011-2014 Edge (not sure of the 2077-2010) generally have a noticeably heavier steering than average.

Check for used OEM parts. in my opinion they would be better than aftermarket and will be as good as what was originally in your car.

Comprehensive List of Possible Forscan Mods?
omar302 replied to ben senise's topic in Accessories & Modifications
As per NoDTMF, it is possible to get the current Gear notification through a tune. https://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/24624-wanting-an-lms-tune/?do=findComment&comment=188285 -
The Edge in Europe only gets Diesel engines, as far as I remember. Also, putting port & direct injection is supposedly to "work together to improve power output, efficiency, and emissions", so maybe the benefits are not cost worthy for the smaller 2.0 EcoBoost. Edit: just noticed, yes the 2.0 is also offered in Europe, but not on the Edge.

I had a 2011 MKX with the cooled seats before the Edge, and they also had the same issue, the back does not cool that much while the bottom does. But it was still better than other cars I rode in with cooled seats. And I hope with this fix ($100 for the exhaust only) will fix it.

Failure of downloading PDF files
omar302 replied to EDST777's topic in Forum Help & Site Suggestions
I am getting the same error and not being able to download the attachments in the above linked post. -
tmarsh, did you get the full kit? I just ordered the exhaust parts as I didn't want to remove the factory sock so that I'd still have warranty in case of anything that might come up. And thanks for the write-up.

Maybe slightly off topic, but would the tune allow Sport mode to go to 6th gear automatically? In stock form Sport mode will only shift till 5th, that is automatically not using the paddles.
