How is the difference in ride? Also, with the 20", you have stock size tires (245/50/R20)?

Didn't the 2010 Edge Sport come from the factory with blacked out Headlights & Taillights? I mean blacked-out in the manner described in post #6? I am sure you can find a good set on ebay.

Really Dead Battery after 24 hours
omar302 replied to cameracarl's topic in 2015+ Edge & MKX Generation II
I once had a MotorCraft battery that had a cracked case that caused the positive terminal to corrode very fast, when I took it to the dealer for replacement they still connected their tester & told me it passed the test! -
Looking at the current performance vehicles from Ford, the Edge ST will be the quickest (0-60 & 1/4 mile) Ford with an ST badge. That is until the Explorer ST comes, which with the 3.0L & 10-speed is still unknown how fast could be. From my memory, ST has always been about half-way sports vehicles, rather than full sports as the RS. Still, an Edge ST with the 3.0L would have been nice. At least now with the 2.7L makes me happier with my Sport .

I have been using a new tire brand for a few months now that recently have become available in USA. Vredestein Ultrac Vortis, made in in Holland, and I find them relatively good, the reviews on them from EU are favorable. Though they are summer tires.

Welcome to the forums & congrats on the new ride.

They should've put in the 400 HP 3.0L engine.

My 2016 also had the Auto lock enabled with no setting in the instrument cluster to disable it. Using ForScan & following the IPC type 2 sheet for the 2016+ Explorer & 2G Fusion Sheet (don't remember correctly) I was able to add the setting to the menu & then disable it. I was also able to add the "Auto Re-lock" setting that re-locks the doors after 45 seconds if you unlock it remotely but don't open any door. This post has the mod to disable Autolock on a 2017 Edge. But I believe that enabling the IPC mod, changing the setting in the cluster settings will change the corresponding body control module.

The adaptive steering is about changing the steering ratio, not effort. To check its operation, my own test, check while parked how many turns the steering wheel takes from lock to lock (extreme left to extreme right, or the other way), with the adaptive steering it is approximately 2 turns. Normal vehicle without adaptive steering require 2.5 to 3 turns.

Really Dead Battery after 24 hours

If you leave the door open, the battery saver would kick in. The only things I believe you can leave on & drain the battery are the Hazard lights (flashers) and parking lights (not the headlight). Another thing I'd suggest to check are the battery terminals, make sure the connectors tight. -
The MKX (Nautilus) already has a digital cluster, the same one used on the MKZ & Explorer Platinum. The problem with Ford is Lincoln. They always hold back features to make Lincolns have more features. The EU Edge (and Fusion, aka Minded) have the digital cluster, but not in US. In Europe there is no Lincoln.

On my 2011 MKX I was able to read the individual tire pressures & temperatures using ForScan. The data came from the TPMS sensors. It is just like what akirby stated, Ford, for whatever reason, decided not show that data. Even on the some Fusion models that did NOT have individual pressure readings, a ABD enabled the display in the cluster with no other hardware change.

How old is your Edge's battery? It could have gone bad.

Your comment regarding the seat bolstering is interesting, what trim was it?

As far as I remember, it is as per Jason's statement: 2015 Edge had MFT 2016 Edge had Sync 3 from the beginning (for US / non-export) Export 2016 Edge (EU / Middle East, I'm sure of) had MFT. 2016 MKX started with MFT then later builds came with Sync 3.

Yes the Get 1.5 Sport didn't get any other wheel option, but the brakes were similar to non-Sport models (maybe except for FWD SE models).
-
They are kinda pricey to keep them just in case. The price most probably reflects each ($37).
-
I am not sure of the 2013 specifically, but I have seen here Get 1.5 Edge (2011-2014) SELs with the small 4" screen and a back up camera. It might be a non-US thing, but it should at least mean that it is possible.
-
Congratulations. Also among the differences is you have the option to get LED headlights with LED DRL & Front Signal flashers (like the 17+ Fusion). I'd like to know, do you have rear fog lights? If yes, what illuminates at the back for the fog light?

Really, many times small scratches are not noticed by the driver. The person who scratched your car might not have even realized what they did thinking their car barely passed without any harm.
-
Yes, I know how they need to be persuaded, but apparently they now have a new technical team & it is becoming harder to convince them. It like they just don't want to acknowledge that a customer might understand some thing related to his vehicle. I told them that they should contact Ford & explain that even after applying their TSB 16-2054 the customer is still complaining of the issue & to ask what they should do next. I got the attached screenshot from them regarding the aforementioned TSB.

What is your previous or other vehicle? The 2011-2014 Edge (not sure of the 2077-2010) generally have a noticeably heavier steering than average.
-
Check for used OEM parts. in my opinion they would be better than aftermarket and will be as good as what was originally in your car.
