  1. The 2011-2014 Edge (V6, not sure of the Eco) have normal hydraulic power assisted steering. It is generally hard/harder than other non-sport cars. The 2011+ Explorer has EPAS (Electrical Power Assisted Steering) & I is much lighter than the 2011-2014 Edge.
  2. I know, but when the brake lights illuminate, they have this kind of a glow that makes some think they are LEDs. That's my guess any way.
  3. I'd say it was probably a 2011-2014 Edge. Those have 2 bulbs for brake lights on each side (total 4), so the vehicle in question would have had the left bottom & right top bulbs not working.
  4. Congrats jmr061 on the new ride, hope you enjoy it to the fullest. So how does it compare to the 2016 Explorer Sport?
  5. I didn't put any link, but here are the links for the stock (regular) Rocker Moldings: Left Rocker Panel: http://www.tascaparts.com/oe-ford/at4z78101a05aa Right Rocker Panel: http://www.tascaparts.com/oe-ford/at4z78101a04aa End Cap 1: http://www.tascaparts.com/oe-ford/7t4z7810176aa End Cap 2: http://www.tascaparts.com/oe-ford/7t4z7810177aa
  6. Seeing that the regular Rocker Panel Moldings & Caps are the same for all 2007-2014 Edge & MKX, I'd say they should fit like what BigMoteZee did.
  7. engma-2, the Sport's shifter doesn't have +/- buttons on it. So you have to make sure the part number is correct.
  8. This talk about the valve covers reminded me that there was a TSB for 2011-2013 models that might experience engine oil migrating into the air intake, replacement of the valve cover is required to fix it. http://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/17714-oil-in-throttle-body/
  9. D3S bulbs are real hid bulbs. Designed & built as hid bulbs only with the ignitor at the base. An H11 is a regular tungsten (halogen) bulb. Any hid H11 bulb is not a real hid bulb but an hid capsule fitted on an H11 base. In short, if you need oem hid, go for the D3S.
  10. There was a TSB for this sound, TSB 11-12-13 TSB 11-2-13__.pdf
  11. The rear wiper on the 2015+ Edge is different compared to the previous models. Looking at the Owners Manual, it looks like the same as the 2011+ Explorer.
  12. @WWWPerfA_ZN0W posted the procedure for the blower motor replacement in this thread.
  13. Mac, are both your Edges the same with regards to the towing package? (both have it/don't have it). I think this might be a major difference that could affect temp difference between both. Also, as per the Owners Manual, it is normal for the trans tempreture to increase after long drives:
  14. Just to chime in a bit, tried a Lexus ES350 with cooled seats & they are definitely worse than Ford's. Maybe Ford's problem with the backseat is that their bottom seat cools so good that drivers would compare the seat bottom to the back & expect the same cooling, naturally.
  15. I have noticed that lowering the seat gives more front leg room. It seems the seat moves up/down at an incline.
  16. 335 hp as per Lincoln, using 93 octane.
  17. There is a possibility that the HVAC module has DTC code, which if true, would make easy for the dealer to diagnose.
  18. Could be a bad wiper switch? Do the wipers wipe 3 times when turning on the front washer? As enigma-2 stated above, first make sure you are not hearing the pump when activating front washers. I had a nearly similar issue & it turned out that the hose under the hood (above the insulator) got loose & washer was being pumped on the under hood insulator, so even water leaks were not immediately noticeable.
  19. Welcome to the site. The Edge did not offer cooled seats until the 2015 model.
  20. Today I was at the dealer checking the 2016 Edge, finally they arrived, unfortunately too expensive $54K! Anyway, I noticed that the seat backs, just above the rear map pockets, are perforated. Thought this might be a new change to allow the seat back to ventilate the heat. Maybe those facing the problem can chime in if this is indeed a new design change to fix the issue.
  21. Few members faced the same issue. Solution was to replace the wiper switch. Easy DIY and costs around $35.
  22. Bob, when the A/C is blowing hot, check what is the indicated outside temperature. I have noticed in my car (though older generation), after a better disconnect, the outside reading would not work for a while & during that time the A/C would not work correctly. Try also to use the Max A/C, or manually select the coldest temp to see if it makes a difference (system would not rely on outside temperature).
  23. The newer style also had an option of LED turn signal indicators, might want to consider them also, though you'll have to figure out the wiring for them. There was a member who wanted to do the opposite (install the older larger mirrors on his 2013 MKX), they bolted on fine but he got BLIS error, which I think is irrelevant in your case since you don't have BLIS nor do the replacement mirrors you need.
