  1. Welcome to the forum. Sorry to see that your first post is a bout a issue you are having with your edge. I would let the dealership fix it. It may be frustrating having them work on your car. Your car, their warranty. They should fix it. At the very minimum if its not fixed to your satisfaction it will be on file if the issue arrises in the future post warranty.
  2. I believe that Dan said that it was the latest firmware. I linked Dan to this thread. He may join and answer any of the behind the scenes questions. My cluster is from an 18MKX I'm not sure what the differences between the firmware and clusters. I was thinking of adding things to the cluster like a pic of my edge etc. I opted for a clean look. Dan said that he can make adjustments for the theme for a nominal fee if I decide to do make changes in the future.
  3. I'm not familiar with that particular model Toyo but I have had great success proxess III. The Conti CrossContact LX 20s are great tires. I prefer them over the OEM Michelin Latitudes. The LX20s are an excellent All season performer.

    87 or E85 ?

Welcome to the forums! I would reach out to the seller and ask him which type of gas they used etc. I do not recall any of the edge models to be flex fuel compliant. The previous owner may have performed a conversion. Or when in doubt if the vehicle has a E85 sticker it should run fine on normal gas till you are able to get a definitive answer from the previous owner.
  5. Issue resolved! If you see any other errors please point them out. That is a feature enabled in the latest edge firmware. That pic was the first pic after installing it. 18 gallon gas tank at a theoretical 25-26 miles per gallon, will put you in the 450-468 miles. I only get in the 400s when, I do tank to tank highway miles rod trips etc.

    Edge ST MPG

I am happy to say that I enjoy my FRENCH FRIES! I will continue to call them french fries regardless of what some peeps decide to nick name them, or what's trending. I have heard french fries addressed as freedom fries. I always laugh when I hear that. Seriously though I hope this conversation can get back on track because there is lots to be shared and learned from one another despite ones political views or objections.
  7. You are correct! I did not do the blade swap, but that is exactly the procedure.
  8. People are having the same issues with the Nautilus. It seems like its hit or miss with them.
  9. Thanks for the kind words and support. IMHO Ford dropped the ball. You're exactly right. The gravity of the situation is compounded when you read it out loud. The top of the line ST should have been equipped with the explorer platinum or the Lincoln MKX cluster. The only interesting thing about the ST cluster is boost gauge. Regular model, regular cluster.
  10. The only issue that I have ever had is when I pulled my wipers up for the incoming snow storm. I did not put them back down in the correct order. The blades did something similar to what you described and they re orientated themselves.
  11. I may have interpreted it wrong, but I understand it to mean that his wife's edge has 70k.
  12. This idea was inspired by @jmr061 post. https://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/22024-north-american-2016-ford-edge-sport-instrument-cluster-upgrade/?tab=comments#comment-165447 I reached out to JMR061 and he said that he was only doing the explorer swaps and that it too way to long to source the lens mask. iI asked if the lens/ mask could be modded and he said no. Which is understandable the lens mask could be modded to fit but it would take some serious fiber glass or or substrate skills To fabricate/ attach the mounting points for the top of the lens mask and for the curved sections Or if someone was so inclined to have a new lens/ mask created via 3D printing or other wizardry. I decided to put it on the back burner of the mod list as it seemed beyond reach for a time. The flames of passion for the Digital IPC has enflamed anew by this post by @DaMiFo https://www.fordedgeforum.com/topic/27048-2019-st-instrument-panel-update-to-2020-st/?tab=comments#comment-201541 Special shout to DaMifo, for introducing the concept of swapping the the Lincoln MKX cluster into a ford edge. Special shout to @TXFRDOwner for sourcing the lens/ mask required to fit the Lincoln MKX cluster. Special shout to DanMC85 (contact@Sync3programming.com) for answering all of my questions and programing my cluster for me. Notes: All the info that DaMifo has posted is accurate. The 2G forum post is a wealth of information regarding the cluster swap. Most people that have done it say that it can be done within a half an hour. This is my first cluster swap on my edge and I got it done within 45 minutes. The extra 15 minutes was due to finding a torx head socket and finding light. If you do not have a well lit garage that you can work in, it is easily to accomplish in your drive way. I decided to test the 30 min window by doing it just after the sun started to set. and It threatened to rain. The day after was 90 degrees and clear. Whats the fun if there is no challenge. Actually this has been more than a month worth of text and emails between Dan and TXFRDOwner coordinating the swap. Once I received it I knew it was going to go in that day. I had to run around looking for my LED light to complete the work. I also decided it is ripe time for a bathroom break and beer break. I also had to figure out how to swap masks. Nothing really to figure out when you have all of the pieces at hand. There are two torx screws and 7 clips. We all wish we could have more than two hands and, or be in multiple places at once. I ran out of flat heads that were thin enough to remove the clips. Good thing I decided to do this in my kitchen because my steak knives were put to good use! I needed to prop them up all at once to separate the cluster from the lens. Needless to say my lady was not thrilled. She decided to take her global steak knife set home. But I digress. Any changes that were previously enabled via forscan will need to be programmed by Dan prior to receiving your cluster. Alternatively you can reprogram them yourself. This is potentially one of your favorite/visual mods to do. You see it all time. The digital dash displays so much information, it really is worth having. Thanks once again to Jmr061, DaMifo and TXFRDOwner And DanMC85! Instrument Panel Cluster (IPC) RI.pdf
  13. Thanks for following up to me and getting back to me. I appreciate it.
  14. She's two years old with 70k miles on her. She still has many miles and many years of comfort and service left in her. With 70k she falls under sever duty maintenance. Your path of resolution makes sense and are all things that require changing at some point. Mac T has an awesome website. On his DIY maintenance page he has the firing order listed as 1-3-4-2. https://www.mactgarage.com/gen-2-ford-edge-capacities-and-spec If you dig around the diy maintenance section you may or may not find a map that will help you in your quest for maintaining your edge. Here is a hint to help you get started. Point your browser in this direction https://www.mactgarage.com/ HTH
  15. Gotcha! There is a lot to be said for peace and quite. It's the little things that matter.
  16. Look forward to it. One thing of note. You originally mentioned the rear beam blade that you installed is 15". Safe to assume that the one in the photo is not the one you installed?
  17. Thanks for the detailed pics. I'll start looking for them. My top two choices for the front windshield is Bosch Icon and Trico Force. Thanks once again!
  18. Correct! I am also looking into getting wipers for my lady's 2013 edge. If I can find them, I plan on trying one on my Gen2. If it works great! If not the hunt continues.
  19. Thanks for the pics. I'll see what I can find online / locally.
  20. Sounds good. I can't say that i have heard anyone enthusiastic about the rear bade before. Which auto parts chain do you work at? Can I order it online? I've had success with Trico premium blades before. My lady and I both need wipers. She currently has PIAA blades. I'm not opposed to buying them again. But I am definitely open to suggestions.
  21. Did you purchase your edge new from the dealership? Or was it used? If it was new then you have to follow your states lemon law guidelines. You have to go to the dealership armed with the information. Most dealerships will not easily facilitate the process for you. If you brought your edge used then the lemon law does not apply to you but you have other avenues of communication protection. Again they all pertain to your state.
  22. Like Omar said. I've had sunglasses too hot to put on. I have never seen melted nose pads before. There is a first for everything!
