Not impossible but I've personally never had a dirty air filter do that, would have to be the dirtiest filter I've ever seen. Really easy to check though along with a plug or 2. I'd start there before anything else.

Spark plugs, coil packs, catalytic converter, 02 sensors, etc. Start with a diagnostic scan and see if there are codes. Otherwise if plugs have never been done start there.

Meh maybe one day you can give it a go. At any rate I hope you are still making it in some form in about a year when I'm ready for a set and willing to ship to Canada.
-
I must have missed that in all I read. Something new to play with.

Lane keep assist does not actually do any physical intervention in keeping you on the road. All it does is vibrate the stearing wheel to tell you that you are nearing or crossing the line, like you are starting to drive on a rumble strip to tell you that you need to turn the wheel to stay more on the road. It does not actually turn the wheels itself.
-
It works ok for me most times but i find it stays almost too centered and feels too close to the left line. i wish there was a way to adjust it like the distance keeping and tell it where in the lane you want it to stay.

The body of the car is galvanized or not? How to paint the car?
Perblue replied to EDST777's topic in Exterior & Body
If the panel is galvanized then yes unfortunately with sanding and such the coating can end up being taken off where you sanded. There isn't a way of replacing the coating. It's either use touch up paint so you don't touch the galvanization if it's there or sand and paint so it looks better. One thing to keep in mind with the edge is, I'm not sure what year yours is, that in 2015 they started using aluminum body panels on alot of the edge. They do not galvanize aluminum so this worry wouldn't apply at all. -

Perblue replied to EDST777's topic in Exterior & Body
If you are planning on painting it and are using automotive paint just sand, prime and paint. If you are just doing a touch up if you get the touch up paints from an automotive section or dealer just make sure there is no dirt and apply it. No need to worry about it being galvanized. They have used galvanized panels since the 90s and have never had to do anything special when using automotive paint -
Curious to see what is found and if any changes happen but atleast they voluntarily notified them. https://www-cnbc-com.cdn.ampproject.org/v/s/www.cnbc.com/amp/2019/04/26/ford-says-us-justice-department-opened-a-criminal-investigation-into-a-matter-relating-to-its-emissions-certification-process.html?amp_js_v=a2&amp_gsa=1#referrer=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.google.com&amp_tf=From %1%24s&ampshare=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.cnbc.com%2F2019%2F04%2F26%2Fford-says-us-justice-department-opened-a-criminal-investigation-into-a-matter-relating-to-its-emissions-certification-process.html

I had warranty so I just took it in and had them do it. I unfortunately don't recall what they did but I know it wasn't a fuse. I'll see if I still have the repair sheet around.

Heh it kind of does since you can't get the brake pack in Canada so no goo in Canadian STs. Pzeros are coming on so many cars now a days that I would think most cities would have one somewhere, granted you may have to go to a car dealership worst case to get one. Since it disables the awd and is the Ford provided spare I don't think you have much to worry about.
-
If you got the brake pack, which comes with the pzeros, then you got goo. if you got just the 20" or 21" rims you got the spare.
-
I'm not sure how much a shop would charge since I have access to a shop to do it myself but you have to remove the shock tower and must own a spring compressor in order to swap out the bearing. Without the proper tools it's quite dangerous.

I can't believe you are still complaining about the fuel capacity. This was explained to you. If you don't like it and it makes you so happy drive it until it says 0 it will still have a reserve in it to keep people like you from burning out the fuel pump. As for mileage you had it at the dealership, did you discuss it with them at all or are you just grumping about it on the internet? You say you like to check if others have the issue well you've checked and repeated yourself we get your point anything we say or suggest is wrong and ignored so go deal with ford.

How is it useless? It is giving you your true mpg for that tank, which of course if you do alot of idling or stop and go or passing/aggressive driving you will never get the epa mpg but the number shown or calculated will be the mpg you got for that tank. If it is far off the rating it could be the drivers fault or driving conditions fault and not the cars and you have to factor that in before you complain about poor mpg and comparing it to others. It is though, what makes city mpg ratings very unpredictable and at times very unaccurate and is why I mainly go by what it shows on the highway as to whether or not it is getting the mpg it should. Granted I was hoping mine would do better than what my 3.5l did in town, which to start didn't look very promising but with nicer weather and possibly the recent tsb it seems like it will. The epa actually does do testing with accessories running and the extra load caused by extra put on top of what they do wouldn't affect mpg very much.
-
It calculates in idle time. I watched my mpg fall, sometimes drastically if I had recently filled up, while waiting for my wife to go in to a store during the winter.
-
It could be you upper shock tower bearings. Have someone turn the wheel while you hold onto the spring and see if you feel either side clunck. One side could be worse than the other.
-
No in city it seems to be staying about the same as when it first got flashed if not a little better. Under slow acceleration it doesn't hold at all. It only does it under medium to hard acceleration for a second, once it realizes you are done accelerating it then will immediately drop into the appropriate cruising gear. At any cruising speed it is significantly better mileage than prior to the flash.
-
After a week of it learning it has made an even bigger difference since having the tsb done. Regular drive is starting to behave in similar ways to sport even, love it or hate it, holding onto a gear a bit longer before shifting.
-
I must be blind I don't see the power claims.
-
And here I got mocked for wishing the borla kit was 2.5".
-
The 2.7 had this added in 2018.
-
Yep. Eddie already ordered one for less
-
Just had mine done. Initial impressions are good. Shifts seem better especially in sport they seem firmer, but I guess time will tell since I'm guessing it will have to relearn things again. At 50 mph it stays in 7th gear steadily, will not go into 8th but likely not needed, and doing 70 mph it stayed in 8th with no problems even with a head wind. I didn't check if I had the same problem as Jamie before but it definitely doesn't bounce between 7th and 8th now. I did a highway mileage test at 70mph for about 20 miles I had a tail wind one way, 34 mpg, and a head wind the other, 24 mpg.
